This document discusses the application of lean construction tools, specifically the Last Planner System (LPS), to improve labor productivity at construction sites in India. It provides background on lean construction and LPS. The researcher implemented LPS at a construction site in Pune, India and observed improvements in resource use, waste reduction, transparency, and time savings. Calculations were performed to analyze the effect on labor productivity, finding an increase after LPS implementation through reduced costs, work hours, and improved performance factors. In conclusion, LPS is an effective tool for increasing labor productivity compared to traditional project management approaches.
