The document discusses several theological issues related to Roman Catholicism, Jehovah's Witnesses, Muslims, Oneness Pentecostalism, Seventh-day Adventists, and the World Mission Society Church of God. It argues that salvation is by faith alone, not works; Jesus is fully God and man; the Holy Spirit is a person, not a power; the Trinity is a biblical concept; hell exists as a place of eternal punishment; and there is no God the Mother. While some practices like baptism and Sabbath-keeping are not essential for salvation, faith in Christ and obedience to his teachings as revealed in the Bible are most important.

What does it take to begin a relationship with God? Devote yourself to unselfish religious deeds? Become a better person so that God will accept you?
You may be surprised that none of those things will work. But God has made it very clear in the Bible how we can know Him.
The following principles will explain how you can personally begin a relationship with God, right now, through Jesus Christ...
This is the four spiritual laws presentation. Just as there are physical laws that govern the whole universe. There are also spiritual laws that govern your relationship with God.

This is a study of Jesus being Paul's example. Paul said follow me and imitate me just as I follow and imitate Jesus. They both become examples for us to imitate.

Rethinking: Authority, Leadership and SubmissionNeo Lamperouge
After reading a Christian blog entitled "Spiritual Abuse: Shepherds Leading Like Royals", i was convicted and was lead to write an article about this difficult and sensitive issue of Authoritarianism (an idolatrous sin of controlling people). I began to recognize Authoritarian leaders around me and later recognized I was one of them. Having confidence in the authority and reliability of the sacred Scriptures, I am certain that this type of leadership in a church is not right nor biblical. Delve into this issue with me and encounter the right path to biblical leadership.
Who is the Holy Spirit? Here in Session 10 of Crossover Weekend Retreat we will know the Person and the Work of the Holy Spirit. Also, we will understand what it means to receive Him and to be filled by Him.
While many know that Jesus died on the cross, only few knew what He really did and accomplished in dying there. He did something for sure because he said "It is finished!", but what is it? Here in Session 3 of the Crossover Weekend Retreat we will find out.
End of Days SERIES | Days of Noah (Matthew 24:37-39)Neo Lamperouge
Jesus gives a clear picture of what the world looks like in the last days. He does this by comparing the generation preceding His return to the generation where Noah found himself. It was a picture of ungodliness that was so great it provoked God to send judgment upon the face of the earth. Because Noah found grace in the Lord’s eyes, God spared him and his family from the destruction. So it will be in the last days. The rise of wickedness and worldliness in our time makes the world ripe for impending judgment. But joy to those who found grace in the Lord Jesus and are walking with Him as Noah did, for He will spare them from the greatest troubles the world will ever witness.
As Genesis 41 unfolds, Joseph got promoted from Prisoner to Governor of the entire Egypt. Scholars and historians point out that it was Pharaoh Sesostris I who promoted him. But wait, how did he got such promotion all up a sudden? How did his long-time dream got fulfilled?
Joseph had a God-given dream but as he shared it to the ones who are close to him, they questioned him. We too will be questioned with our dreams but like Joseph, we must dream on and believe that God can turn our dream into reality.
For the sake of Homothumadon, focus on what we have in common, not our differences. Disagreements, as Rick Warren comments, is an indication that the Church has shifted to something less important: non-essentials.
The Certainty of Death and Uncertainty of LifeNeo Lamperouge
One common response towards the Great Commission is "Yes, I will go and make disciples, but NOT NOW". But WHY NOT NOW? Why do we go often to that direction? Probably because we have lost sight of the reality of the certainty of death and uncertainty of life.
Jesus glorified his Father here on earth by making disciples (John 17:4), and he calls us to do the same (John 17:18). God does not ask from us that we glorify Him in any way for which He will not supply us. And that's where the cross comes in.
The best way to start the New Year, I believe, is to immerse ourselves with the promises of God. According to scholars, there are approximately 1,260 promises that awaits us in the Bible. And we can claim them by faith in the Son of God.
It is notable that the total number of homosexuals in our country is gradually increasing. Not only their number but also their zeal to introduce homosexuality as “an alternative lifestyle” is rising today. May this article help us see what we ought to think about homosexuality and how we ought to respond to homosexuals.

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

Homily: The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity Sunday 2024.docxJames Knipper
Countless volumes have been written trying to explain the mystery of three persons in one true God, leaving us to resort to metaphors such as the three-leaf clover to try to comprehend the Divinity. Many of us grew up with the quintessential pyramidal Trinity structure of God at the top and Son and Spirit in opposite corners. But what if we looked at this ‘mystery’ from a different perspective? What if we shifted our language of God as a being towards the concept of God as love? What if we focused more on the relationship within the Trinity versus the persons of the Trinity? What if stopped looking at God as a noun…and instead considered God as a verb? Check it out…

The Book of Joshua is the sixth book in the Hebrew Bible and the Old Testament, and is the first book of the Deuteronomistic history, the story of Israel from the conquest of Canaan to the Babylonian exile.
1. [Roman Catholics]
1. Is there salvation by works?
No, because…
Ephesians 2:8
Romans 4:4,5
Galatians 2:16
2. Should we pray to Mary and to the saints?
No, because…
John 17:24,26
Should we pray to the gods of other religions?
No, because…
1 Kings 18:26-29
Thus, to pray to Mary, to the saints, and to the gods of
other religion (e.g. Buddhism) is to pray to no one.
3. Should we worship the saints and the angels?
No, because…
Acts 10:25
Acts 14:14,15
Revelation 22:8,9
4. Is the Pope the Antichrist?
We don’t know for sure but…
1 John 2:18,22
5. Is the Apocrypha inspired Word of God?
No, because…
(1) They were not written by prophets.
(2) They were not confirmed by miracles.
(3) They contain many false teachings and historical
errors.
(4) They were never quoted in the NT.
(5) They were never accepted by Judaism as inspired.
(6) They were rejected by the church fathers of the
early church.
(7) They were added by the Roman Catholics in 1546
in response to the Reformation Movement.
[Jehovah’s Witnesses]
1. Is Jesus a created creature?
No, because…
John 1:14,1-3
Is Jesus an angel?
No, because…
Hebrews 1:4,5
Is Jesus only a prophet?
No, He is God because…
He is omniscient John 21:17
He is omnipotent Matthew 28:18
He is omnipresent Matthew 28:20
He is immutable Hebrews 13:8
He is sinless 2 Corinthians 5:21; 1 Peter 2:22; 1 John 3:5
[Read: John 1, Colossians 1, Hebrews 1, Revelation 1]
If Jesus is God, He couldn’t be a real human, right?
No, He is also human because…
He was born Luke 2:7
He grew Luke 2:40,52
He got tired John 9:6
He got thirsty John 19:28
He got hungry Matthew 4:2
He slept Luke 8:24
He died Luke 23:46
Thus, Jesus is FULLY God and FULLY man.
[Read Colossians 2:9, The Chalcedonian Creed
(A.D.451)]
2. Is the Holy Spirit a power, a thing?
No, He is a person because…
He thinks Romans 8:27
He speaks Acts 13:2
He can be grieved Ephesians 4:30
He decides 1 Corinthians 12:11
The Holy Spirit is not God, right?
No, He is because…
He is omniscient 1 Corinthians 2:10
He is omnipotent Zechariah 4:6
He is omnipresent Psalm 139:7,8
If Jesus for you is God, and the Holy Spirit for you is
also God, that means you worship three Gods, right?
No, there is only ONE God (Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah
43:10)
And He exists in THREE distinct persons (Father, Son, and
Spirit).
Is there a word “Trinity” in the Bible?
No, but…
“The word ‘Trinity’ is used to define the fullness of the
Godhead both in terms of His unity and diversity. They
are united in terms of essence and they are diverse in
terms of person.” – R.C. Sproul
Yes, God is one but three is a MYSTERY. Not a
contradiction, but a paradox.
“If we try to understand God completely, we may lose
our mind. But if we do not believe in the Trinity sincerely,
we will lose our soul.” – Anonymous
3. Hell doesn’t exist, right?
No, it does. Matthew 25:41.
3 Common Reasons why many tend to reject the idea of
Hell:
(1) It is TOO HARSH.
(2) It is TOO INSENSITIVE.
(3) It is TOO UNFAIR.
5 Things you have to ponder:
(1) Jesus taught more about Hell than Heaven.
(2) God is not 10% holy and 90% loving. He is 100%
holy, 100% loving.
(3) God’s love does not negate His holiness and justice.
(4) To deny the existence of hell will not eliminate hell.
(5) To disgust at the idea of hell is to view God’s
transcendence as baloney and His holiness as
exaggerated.
4. Should we condemn celebrating Christmas,
Valentines, Easter, etc.?
No, instead…
John 10:22-30
Romans 14:6
2. [Muslims]

Psalm 51:5
Romans 5:12,13
Ephesians 2:3
Romans 3:10,23
I John 1:8,10
2. Jesus didn’t really die, right?
No, He did because…
Mark 15:39,44,45
John 19:31-35
Non-Christian witness: Tacitus (A.D. 55)
3. Is God of the Q’uran the God of the Bible?
No, because the teachings of Q’uran (e.g. salvation by
suicide, plural marriage, Jesus did not die, etc.)
contradicts the teachings of the Bible. God could not be
the author of both. Thus, the God described in the two
books is two different Gods. The Q’uran also has many
self-contradictions, scientific errors, and was written only
by one person, Muhammad. The Bible was written by 40
different authors, at 3 different continents over 1500
years and yet it has no historically errors.
1 John 2:23
[Oneness Pentecostal]
1. Is baptism necessary for salvation?
No, because…
Ephesians 2:8,9
But faith in Christ will always produce Votum Baptisma
(desire for baptism)
Acts 8:36
“It is not the absence of baptism but the despising of
baptism that damns.” – St. Augustine
2. Do we receive the Holy Spirit only after we got water
baptized?
No, because…
Galatians 3:2,5
3. Is speaking in tongue necessary for salvation?
No, because…
1 Corinthians 12:30,11
4. Is Jesus the Father, the Son, and the Spirit?
No, because…
Matthew 3:16,17
Matthew 26:39
John 15:26
Hebrews 9:14
[Seventh-day Adventists]
1. Should we keep the Sabbath?
No, because…
(1) It was a commandment given only to Israel. Note:
There was no Sabbath-keeping from Eden to Egypt.
(2) It is a form of Judaizing [Read Paul’s Epistle to
Galatians].
(3) It was never commanded by Jesus and the apostles
in the NT.
2. Do our souls sleep after we die?
No, because…
Hebrews 9:27
Philippians 1:21,23
2 Corinthians 5:8
Luke 23:43
Luke 16:22,23,26
3. Should we not eat pork?
1 Corinthians 6:12
[Read 1 Corinthians 8]
[World Mission Society Church of God]
1. Is there a God the Mother?
No, to insist there is, is to say that God has a gender.
Does God have a gender?
No, He is a Spirit (John 4:24) and He is a person (He
thinks, He feels, He decides) but He does not participate
in any gender.
Why then is God addressed as “Father”?
That is called “anthropomorphism”. It is a personification
that is used in Scripture where God is assigned with
human characteristics in order to make it possible for us
(human beings) to understand God and His nature.
