The document discusses the concepts of faith and works in relation to salvation. It states that faith is essential to salvation but salvation is not by faith alone. It provides several biblical examples and passages to support the position that obedience and good works are also necessary, such as James 2:24 which says a person is justified by works and not by faith alone. The document argues that while grace, faith, and freedom are gifts from God, believers must still obey God's commands and be faithful to inherit salvation and the kingdom of God.

Tithing and offerings are two interesting subjects, which many people have different meanings and applications. While tithing and offering are certainly biblical concepts, some people teaches that tithe is a command and offering is a sacrificial ‘will’ of a Christian; some also teaches that these are not so. What does the Bible teaches regarding tithing and offerings under the New Covenant?
In order to understand how tithing fits (or doesn't fit) into the life of a Christian or a religious person, we must first examine tithing as it was originally commanded, its meaning, and its purpose. Offerings which sometimes interchangeably defined to be tithes; one needs to understand the meaning of sacrifice, free will, giving, and sharing.
This book explains in detail: the doctrines, the command, the culture, the principles, and giving of tithes and offerings. It also outlines the most frequently asked questions on tithing, offerings, and giving.

In this second of four sessions of our “Being and Making Disciples” workshop held in Sacele on September 1,2012 we answered the question “How Did I Begin to Disciple Someone?. We started by looking at things we should take into consideration even before we start discipling someone like how we should model Jesus, the importance of focusing on relationships and the goal of what we do in discipleship. We then went on to look at five key things we should do to help those we are discipling to get off to a good start.
Kingdom Life is the Baptismal and New Converts Class at Jesus House DC. It's a 3 week course aimed as building the right foundation for new converts (and revision of mature Christians) and preparing believers of baptism.
(Titus 2:11-15) — What would you say is the biggest problem facing the church? If you were honest with yourself, could you say you were as zealous as you ought to be? What is Zeal? Can zeal be bad? — What are we most enthusiastic about? Where are our affections and values directed? - http://w65stchurchofchrist.org/2017_Sermons/2017_03_19_Zealous_For_Good_Works.mp3
The Tragedy of A Lie - told or believed! The father of every lie is the devil - (John 8:44)
If we lie we do the devil’s work!
If we believe a lie, we become the devil’s convert!
If we only preach the goodness of God and nothing else we err likewise if all we teach is the severity we err. We must proclaim the whole of God. Both slides and audio can be viewed together at www.cmcoc.org Sermon by: Brian Birdow
16. How far do you agree with these statements?
1. The "good works" of unsaved people are "dead", and
are as "filthy rags" to God.
2. We are under Satan's control until we are
spiritually reborn through faith in Jesus.
3. We are saved by faith and grace, not works. Good
works after our spiritual rebirth signifies true faith.
4. God is not impressed by the "good works" and
prayers of non-Christians.
5. We are not to admire the sincerity and zeal of those in
non-Christians religions. We are to avoid participating
in their efforts. Rebuke them sharply

51. Faith
Is Essential To Salvation.
John 3:16 - Whoever believes on Jesus should have eternal
life.
Romans 1:16 - The gospel is God's power to save all who
believe.
Romans 5:1,2 - By faith we are justified and have access to
grace.
Ephesians 2:8 - By grace are you saved through faith.
(Acts 16:31; 10:43; 15:9; 13:39; John 8:24; 3:36; 5:24;
6:40; 20:30,31; Romans 3:22-28; 4:3,16; etc.)
54. Ja 2:26 For as the body apart from the spirit is
dead, so
apart from works is
dead.
55. by Itself, Inward Faith Will Not Save.
John 12:42,43 - People "believed" in Jesus but would not
confess Him, because they loved the praises of men more
than the praises of God. Were they saved? (Cf. Rom.
10:9,10; Matt. 10:32,33.)
James 2:19,20 - Even devils believe. Are they saved?
James 2:14,24 - Can faith save without obedience? No, that
is a dead faith (v17,20,26).
56. Many Things Are Essential to Salvation.
God's grace (Ephesians 2:4-10; 1:7; Titus 2:11,12; Acts
15:11)
Jesus' death and resurrection (Ephesians 1:7; Romans
5:6-10; 1 Peter 1:18,19; Revelation 1:5; 1 Corinthians
15:17; 1 Peter 3:21)
The gospel (Romans 1:16; 1 Peter 1:23-25; Acts 11:14;
James 1:18,21; 1 Corinthians 15:1,2; John 8:31,32)
Learning God's will (Acts 11:14; John 6:44,45; Romans
10:17; 1:16; 1 Corinthians 1:21)
57. Many Things Are Essential to Salvation.
Love (1 Corinthians 16:22; 13:1-3; Galatians 5:6; 1 John
4:7,8)
Hope (Romans 8:24)
Repentance (2 Corinthians 7:10; Acts 2:38; 3:19; 17:30;
Luke 13:3,5; 2 Peter 3:9)
Obedience (Hebrews 5:9; Romans 6:17,18; 1 Peter 1:22;
Acts 10:34,35; 2 Thessalonians 1:8,9; Galatians 5:6; James
2:14-26)
58. Many Things Are Essential to Salvation.
Confession of Christ (Romans 10:9,10; Matthew 10:32)
Baptism (Mark 16:16; Acts 2:38; 22:16; 1 Peter 3:21;
Romans 6:3-7; Galatians 3:26,27; Colossians 2:12,13)
Faithfulness (Matthew 10:22; Revelation 2:10; 1
Corinthians 15:58; Matthew 28:20; Titus 2:11,12; 1 John
2:1-6)
Church membership (Acts 2:47; 20:28; Ephesians
5:23,25)
59. Obedience Is Essential To Salvation.
1 Peter 1:22,23 - We purify our souls in obeying the truth.
Romans 6:17,18 - Servants of sin must obey from the heart
in order to be made free from sin.
Hebrews 5:9 - Jesus is the author of eternal salvation to all
who obey Him.
James 2:24 - Man is justified by works, not by "faith
only."
Acts 11:14; 10:34,35 - Peter told Cornelius words whereby
he would be saved. But the first words He said were that, to
be accepted by God, people must work righteousness.
60. Matthew 7:21-27; Luke 6:46 - To accept Jesus as
Lord (ruler, master) and enter the kingdom of heaven,
we must do what He says. We may believe and
confess Him yet be rejected, because we did not obey.
2 Thessalonians 1:8,9; Romans 2:6-10 - Receiving
eternal life requires us to do good. Those who do not
obey will be destroyed.
1 John 5:3; John 14:15,21-24 - Loving God requires
us to keep His commands. If we do not obey, we do
not love Him. Can one be saved if he does not love
God (cf. 1 Corinthians 16:22; Matthew 22:37-39)?
61. Saving Faith Requires Obedience.
Blessings Received "by Faith"
Noah built the ark then his house was saved
Abraham obeyed to go then received inheritance
Israel marched then the walls fell
We obey conditions then receive forgiveness
Obedience comes first, then comes the
blessing!
62.
63. We cant appropriate it without
Grace is a gift of God. Because it comes to us
at God's initiative, there are some things we
can't do about grace. We can't earn it. We
can't control it. We don't have to deserve it.
Jam 2:24 You see that a man is justified by
works and not by faith alone.
64. We are saved by grace
(Eph. 2:8,9)
but we can fall from grace
(Gal. 5:2-4).
65. We are justified by faith (Rom. 5:1),
but our faith can cease to exist
(Luke 8:13; Rom. 11:19-23)
and
become shipwrecked
(1 Tim. 1:19,20).
66. We are not under the law
(Rom. 6:14,15),
but
if you live
according to
the sinful nature
you will die
(Rom. 8:13).
67. Paul taught against legalism
(Gal. 5:3,4),
but among others things he taught:
But among you there must not be even a hint
of sexual immorality,
or
of any kind of impurity,
or
of greed,
because these are improper for God's holy people.
Nor should there be obscenity,
foolish talk or coarse joking,
which are out of place,
but
rather thanksgiving.
68. For of this you can be sure:
No immoral,
impure
or greedy person
—such a man is an idolater—
has any inheritance
in the kingdom of Christ
and of God.
Let no one deceive you with empty words,
for because of such things
God's wrath comes on those who are disobedient.
Therefore do not be partners with them (Eph. 5:3-6).
69. We are not saved by works
(Eph. 2:8,9),
but to reap eternal life
and
not destruction,
you must sow
to please the Spirit
and
not the sinful nature
(Gal. 6:8,9).
70. God is faithful to us
(1 John 1:9; 1 Cor. 10:13),
but
we must be faithful to him
to the very end of our lives
to escape the lake of fire,
or
second death
(Rev. 2:10,11).
71. God surely loves us
(John 3:16; Mk. 10:21; Rom. 8:35-39),
but those who inherit the kingdom
of God,
love God
(James 2:5 cf. 1 Cor. 2:9).
And to love God
means
to obey
his commandments
(Jn. 14:15; 1 John 5:3).
72.
73. We have freedom in Christ
(Gal. 5:1),
but this freedom is not
to indulge the sinful nature
(Gal. 5:13; 1 Pet. 2:16).
81. (Eph 2:11) Wherefore
remember, that once ye,
the Gentiles in the flesh,
who are called
Uncircumcision
by that which is called
Circumcision,
in the flesh, made by hands;
82. Gentile
Eph 2:12 that ye were at
that time separate from
Christ, alienated from the
commonwealth of Israel,
and strangers from the
covenants of the promise,
having no hope and
without God in the world.
Jews
83. One New Man
in Christ
Eph 2:13 But now
in Christ Jesus ye
that once were far
off are made nigh in
the blood of Christ.
84. But if some of the
branches were
broken off, and you,
being a wild olive,
were grafted in
among them, and
became partaker with
them of the root and
of the richness of the
olive tree; don't boast
against the branches.
But if you boast, it is
not you who support
the root, but the root
supports you
(Romans 11:17,18).
85. Eph 2:14 For he is
our peace, who made
both one, and brake
down the middle
wall of partition,
86.
87.
88. Eph 2:16 and might reconcile
them both in one body unto
God through the cross, having
slain the enmity thereby:
89.
90. Eph 2:18 for through him we
both have our access in one
Spirit unto the Father.
91. Eph 2:19 So then ye are no more
strangers and sojourners, but ye are
fellow-citizens with the saints, and of
the household of God,
