Differences Between Judaism And Judaism
Judaism has a concrete connection to the development of Christianity which has influenced the
teachings of the religion that would not be made possible without its presence. There are similarities
between the Christian faiths to Judaism from how the religions are practiced to the hymns that are
shared between the two. A primary difference is the historical background to the discovery of the
religions. Another difference would be the sacred text that are used in prayer considering Judaism uses
the Hebrew bible and Christians use the New Testament. The Hebrew bible is referred to as the Old
Testament yet that might not be the case according to Jews. A similarity from the two religions is the
fact that they are both monotheism which is the belief that there is only one God. Yet the two differ on
the beliefs on the one that is called God or the divine. Another fascinating similarity that the two share
are the Ten Commandments. The commandments were discovered by Moses on two tablets which has
been practice by Jews primarily. The adaptation of the commandments were carried over into the New
Testament. Considering most of the Hebrew Bible shares a cross connection into the New testament it
is clear that it would not have been created without the influence of Judaism.
Judaism is a temple based religion that is practice in a synagogue that originated in Israel. Moses was
the first author to the scrolls called the Torah. The verbal teachings of Judaism was how Moses spread
the word

sociedad.

The Exploration Of The Arctic Oil Spills
In the Beginning Prior to today s mechanisms, Native Americans and European settlers retrieved
minor amounts of crude oil from holes in the ground. It was not until the mid nineteenth century when
Colonel Edwin Drake discovered the how to retrieve even larger quantities of oil. He realized that, by
drilling a hole deep enough, greater quantities of oil could be obtained. Colonel Edwin Drake
established the very first oil well in Titusville, Pennsylvania. After Colonel Edwin Drake s discovery,
the search for oil followed. Through this quest, many oil reserves were located all over North
America, with the richest reserves found in Texas. Today, oil companies have discovered rich reserves
all around the globe, including the Arctic. The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In 2001, someone fired a rifle at the pipeline, resulting in 300,000 gallons to leak out. Likewise, in
2006, a deteriorated portion of the Prudhoe Bay pipeline resulted in a leak of 270,000 gallons of oil
into the area. Furthermore in the Alaskan area, the Exxon Valdez oil tanker leaked approximately 11
million gallons of oil into the Prince William Sound. This massive oil spill killed over a thousand sea
otters, thousands of birds, and cost more than $2 billion dollars to recover. Threats Damages to the
Cryosphere The cryosphere refers to the frozen water part of the Earth system including the frozen
parts of the ocean, such as waters surrounding the Arctic. Recent studies show that the cryosphere is
generally in a poor state, and scientific agreement stated that average global temperatures will
continues to increase over the next century. This means that the existing risk to these climatically
sensitive areas is increasing. In the past 20 years, the amount of summer sea ice in the Arctic has
decreased dramatically, and could even disappear completely within the next hundred years. Evidence
shows that some of these depletions in the cryosphere are human induced, specifically the
fragmentation of sea ice when oil tankers break through the frozen waters to make a passageway. This
fragmentation leads to global sea rise and habitat destruction for large predators such as polar bears
and seals, in addition to other Arctic wildlife.

By the time one is an adolescent, one should know that stealing, killing, using drugs, and committing
felonies is wrong. Williams, who celebrated his sixteenth birthday in jail, faces up to 110 years behind
bars for second degree attempted murder and use of a weapon to commit a felony. He s also charged

Essay Disputing the Canon
Disputing the Canon
I was in the best of settings when I realized that Shakespeare was indeed great. My freshman year in
high school, I had English class with an esteemed teacher, Mr. Broza hailed as the Paul D. Schreiber
High School Shakespeare aficionado, founder of Schreiber s Annual Shakespeare Day, and, perhaps
most heart warming of all, a self proclaimed Shakespeare lover whose posters of The Bard could be
found as wallpaper in his small office. How lucky I thought I was. Indeed, if I wanted to appreciate
Hamlet, I was in the right hands.
But how misled I actually was at least, in Walker Percy s eyes. In his essay, The Loss of the Creature,
Percy recalls a scene from The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter:
...the girl hides in the bushes ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
After sitting by a tree and reading the text front to back, perhaps then I would be able to see
Shakespeare in Percy s sense of the word.
Percy s noble task is to open our minds to the possibility that we are not the masters of what we know
that, in part, what we know and what we see, when approached passively, have a lot more to do with
preformed symbolic complex than with ourselves (512). Percy s exploration achieves one of the main
goals of all philosophy to change the way we think about things. He changes the meaning of many
concepts human beings tend to take for granted. Sight is no longer the mere act of seeing, but a
struggle, an act of understanding and appreciation (523). Sovereignty, in relation to things, is no
longer some abstract concept of power, but an ability to interpret for oneself (517). Education or
perhaps more specifically, its dynamic is reshaped, for it is no longer a passive act (i.e. being taught to
) but an action that relies much more upon the student, who may have the greatest difficulty in
salvaging the creature itself from the educational package in which it is presented (519). These
concept alterations are thus meant to alter our reality; they aim to help us rediscover in art what he
calls in his opening paragraph an island, Formosa. This previously untouched island is beautiful to its
discoverer

Essay on The Use of Force
The Use of Force, written by William Carlos Williams is a story about a conflicted unnamed doctor
using physical force to determine a diagnosis. The question that is brought up is whether or not the
doctor s use of force was one of ethical duty or infuriating violence. The doctor makes it his duty to
save the patient, Mathilda as she does not cooperate he makes a choice to go on and use force to open
her mouth to determine her diagnosis. The choice of using force isn t necessarily the questionable part,
the motive on using physical force is debatable. The ultimate question that the short story, the Use of
Force asks is whether or not the doctor s motives become one of dutiful compassion or desirable
violence. As the story ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He first tries to be accommodating by asking the girl for her name in order to get her to cooperate in
opening her mouth, but she does not budge. The doctor assures Mathilda that he has nothing in his
hands and that she should open up. Such a nice man, put in the mother. Look how kind he is to you.
Come on, do what he tells you to. He won t hurt you. The mother s helpfulness in assuring the girl that
the doctor is trying to help enrages the doctor; as he puts it, At that I ground my teeth in disgust. The
doctor then shows frustration, If only they wouldn t sue use the word Hurt I might be able to get
somewhere. (par. 16) Despite this he continues to get his diagnosis. As the doctor reaches again for the
girl, she swipes his glasses and the parents light up in embarrassment. They apologize and chastise the
girl and assures assure her that he is a nice man. The doctor lashes out to the parents, For heaven s
sake, I broke in. Don t call me a nice man to her. (par. 19) He states to the parents that he is strictly
there to check her throat to see if she has diphtheria and that she could die from it. It is apparent at this
point that the doctor may not care what the parents and child think of him, just as long as he checks
the girls (should it be girl s? I didn t correct you, because I m not actually sure which is right)

Lymphangiogram A lymphangiogram is a procedure to examine your lymphatic system. Your
lymphatic system consists of lymph vessels and your lymph nodes. In this procedure, dye is injected
through a long, thin tube (catheter). X rays are then taken. The X rays will show if there is a blockage

Impact of Airbnb in hotel industry whether it is affecting the hotel guest loyalty?
The world s largest lodging provider, Airbnb, runs its business in around 192 countries and 30,000
cities across the globe. Now, the company need not have any worries about the high employee
turnover rate or the increase or decrease in real estate prices. Since its growth is very large from its
beginning in 2008.
The idea of Joe Gebbia, one of the founders of the Airbnb, converted the simple room into the lodging
room with few mattresses, thus the idea of Airbnb evolved. Now it is the company worth around
$20billion. This travelling market has come across many obstacles in between.
Till now there are no proper evidence regarding the luxury issues concerned with Airbnb. Most of the

Christian Inaccuracies In The Bible
Introduction
Every day people are introduced to the Bible, whether it be through Christians or non
Christians. Christians will try to convince people that the Bible is true, while non Christians will
say that there are too many inaccuracies in the Bible for it to be true. As Christians, we should
take a look at what the other side has to say, so we are aware of what others believe and so that
we can accurately talk about the other side s claims. Another reason that Christians should
conduct their own research on the accuracy is so they can defend their faith and know why they
believe what they believe. There are many people in our would today that believe certain facts
and information to be true only because friends or family ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This account was an early example that shows us that even before Jesus came, God the
Father performed miracles. Through research Dr. Gary Habermas, a scholar in New Testament
history and has conducted lots of research for providing sound evidence to support the New
Testament, discovered that many agree and recognize Jesus miracles dealing with healings and
exorcisms, but deny the nature miracles. The fact that Jesus miracles are listed and discussed
in each of the Gospels show proof that Jesus really did perform miracles. Dr. Gary Habermas
stated, medical studies of certain miraculous phenomena today indicate that we are still not
able to account for all such incident in purely naturalistic terms. That statement from Dr.
Habermas shows that one cannot account for the miracles through naturalistic elements, but rather
have to acknowledge that Jesus really did perform miracles. Dr. Gary Habermas is not the
only person that has looked into the miracles of Jesus. Craig Keener, a professor of New
Testament at Ashbury Theological Seminary, has also provided evidence through Jesus miracles

Essay on Whistleblowing
Sharon Watkins earned her 15 minutes of fame the honest way, as the Enron employee who blew the
lid off of then CEO Ken Lay s debauchery. But for every celebrated whistleblower, there are hundreds
who remain in the shadows. And for good Samaritans who do tell their tale, the price they pay can be
exorbitant.
Whistleblowers perform in many careers and are found at all levels of an organization: scientists and
secretaries, lawyers and paralegals, managers and staff, security personnel and computer specialists,
etc. They are as varied in age, ethnic background, education, profession, sex, and income as the
population at large. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The whistleblower him or herself must be carefully scrutinized. What are the personal and the
professional reputations of the whistleblower? What is the motive driving the whistleblower? Is it to
benefit the client or the organization, or is it a need for attention or revenge? Is the whistleblower s
cause seen as legitimate and significant by trustworthy colleagues and friends? Is the whistleblower
aware of the potential consequences of blowing the whistle and still willing to accept responsibility for
actions taken?
Unfortunately, during most of this century many people equated whistleblowers with tattle tales. For
instance, until the early 1980s, legal indices often listed the law of whistleblowing under the word
snitch or informant. During the Nixon era, much of that negative attitude changed. With the advent of
Watergate, the public began to recognize the service whistleblowers were providing to taxpayers at
great risk to themselves.
Further, whistleblowing impacts not just the whistleblower but also their family and friends. Although
whistleblowers have many different backgrounds, skills,

Comparing Army Of Music And Rich Woman Poor Woman
Over the course of history humans have suffered both mentally and physically from wars to
revolutions. With the thought of war and revolution most people think that soldiers and leaders are the
ones who usually suffer the most. Both of the poems Army of Music and Rich Woman Poor Woman
depict that the innocent civilians suffer the most. Symbolism, figurative imagery, and atmosphere help
provide this claim.
Within both poems the symbolism within them create a sense of sadness behind their hidden
meanings. The main symbol in Army of Music is the actual music depicted within the story but if you
pictured this music as the sound of war and screams it creates a different tone within the story. In the
third stanza the poet wrote Sirens echo through the music but we keep dancing . If you were to change
music to screams and gunfire while dancing to running you could imagine the fear and anguish they
are going through. In Rich Woman Poor Woman, they use the use of two female characters as a way to
contrast their two life styles. The Poet writes We had to eat beans, we had beans (Stanza 4). Little
descriptions like these show how a poor citizen reacts to anything given to her and being grateful ...

have given their lives have suffered. Rich Woman Poor Woman uses literal imagery to drive their
point with imagery like There were planes overhead and guns firing close (Stanza 8) and they stripped
us of our dignity we had gained and then they raped us (Stanza 10). Both these literal images show
what happened to these people and how they were

Injustice And Injustice
Is it better to suffer injustice than to commit injustice? Or is it better to bully or to be bully. Many
would choose to be the bully because who wants to be picked on. In reality, to be the good person is
always best choice. Why is that? According to Plato it is better to suffer injustice than to commit
injustice, and I agree with it. Because the person who commits injustice is not happy and won be
happy however the person who suffers injustice can be happy because doe s not carry with guilt.

Is it better to cheat or to be cheated? Cheating is easy, comparing it to being cheated. In every way,
such as cheating on a test or in a relationship. In an exam, when cheating the cheater haves a good
chance of passing if the person who is actually taking the exam is smart. In case that they do pass, the
cheater does not really gain nothing in the long run just in that exam. The cheater is still ignorant
while the person who took the test gained and experience knowledge and passed the test. The
Knowledge will last long and this person will get in life further because this individual will not cheat
rough life. The cheater will do well as long as he cheats but will never be independent until he
becomes knowledgeable. On the other side in a relationships, it might sounds better to cheat because
of the benefits of the pleasure of having two lovers at once. The cheater in the end will be a cheater
and most likely end up alone and unhappy. On the other hand, the person being cheated on will learn,
suffer for a while, but eventually be happy because they are loyal. This brings us back to what
Socrates believes in, which is knowledge and having the power when people are good.

Reflection Of The King s Speech
Part A: The movie «The Kings Speech» is a movie about a man that in the start of the movie is
represented as the duke of York. He is the son of the current king, king George the 5th. Early in the
movie we are presented with the main problem for the duke, which is his inability to speak publically.
They tell us that the duke has something called Demosthenes which is a fear of public speaking. We
see this problem very early when the duke is about to hold a speech on behalf of the king, but it is
made very clear that he is incapable of doing so. The speech is cancelled early and we are introduced
to one of his many speech therapists. Despite him trying out various vocal exercises with different

when the seed of their relationship is planted, or maybe sapling rather. Lionel is very stubborn and
strict to the duke; he talks in a way that could be seen as if he is trying to be a smartass. Obviously, as
stubborn as the duke is, he doesn t like this. But I personally think their stubbornness is one of the
most important reasons as to why their relationship ends up in friendship. Another big thing is also
how Lionel doesn t treat the duke as if he has a higher status than him. He simply treats him as an
equal, and I think this is new for the duke, and I doubt this impacts the relationship negatively. The

In William Shakespeare s Julius Caesar and Lorraine Hansberry s A Raisin in the Sun themes,
symbols, and characters can be compared. Both A Raisin in the Sun and Julius Caesar were written for

Gender Stereotypes In The Middle
The Middle, is a sitcom about the Heck family. The show focuses on a family of five and their tight
finances, overscheduling, communication issues, and balancing work, and family time. The episode s
setting was spring break. After making some extra money, Mike surprises his family with a spring
break vacation at Mammoth Cave. His wife, Frankie gets another family to join the. While Mike visits
all of the attractions on his own, Nancy and discuss their children s lives. Axl makes Brick help him
pick up women and Sue reveals her summer plans of moving away.
Frankie kind of fits into the female gender role. She dres¬ses in pink, she s emotional, and short.
When they split the cars into boys and girls, the men s car is silent while the women s car is full of
chatter, conforming to the cliché of women talking a lot. Frankie discusses parenting with Nancy and
they talk about each other s kids, conforming to the serotype of raising kids is a women s job. Frankie
represents the stereotypical women in a family.

Sexually Transmitted Disease (STI)
When sexual transmitted diseases, or STDs, are mentioned, the first that are remembered are
chlamydia, gonorrhea or pubic lice. However, there are many others including
Trichomoniasis. It is mentioned both as an STD and an STI but it is an organism that is acute not
chronic. It seems to individuals to not be as harmful and scary as other STDs but it is an organism to
still watch out for as it harms certain tracts in certain bodies. This disease is most common in women
but also seen in men. It is considered the most common STIs, both in the
United States and worldwide (Smith 2016). With this infection/disease, it is important to know the

First of all, the host Trichomoniasis targets and transmits to is only humans, never animals. The
diagnostic stage begins in the
female lower genital tract and in male urethra and prostate (Smith 2016). In these parts of the body, it
starts to replicate by binary fission. The infective stage is when sexual intercourse with another person
occurs, passing on the organism to the vagina or urethra.
Once it has invaded, they destroy[s] epithelial cells by direct cell contact and by release of cytotoxic
substances (Smith 2016). It then connects to the plasma proteins which prevents recognition by the
alternative complement pathway. Afterward, the organism will increase the pH from around 3.8 to 4.2
to a more neutral pH of 5 to 6. While increasing the pH of the area, the number of polymorphonuclear
leukocytes are also raised to respond to this special infection.
However, this response is not capable of fighting this infection alone and it only helps protect the body
partially not fully.
In the prevention of this infection, it does not stop the organism from reappearing if you had

Being A Sex Worker, By George Bernard Shaw
Is morality really as clear cut and defined as we may perceive it to be? Most would agree that things
along the lines of murder and rape are clearly immoral and despicable, but what about prostitution? In
modern society, the word prostitute might understandably bring many negative connotations to one s
mind pimps... sexual abuse...slavery, even especially considering the vast options women in the
modern workforce have. One could also assume that no one would ever want to become willful sex
worker, but some may see it as a necessary evil to provide for themselves. In Victorian Society, being
a sex worker may have been one of the few options open to women of the lower or working class to
survive without being forced into the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

will not make much difference to us: instead of meeting one another for perhaps a few months in

The notion of duty of care was formed which if infringed would result in damage.
The neighbour principle was established by Lord Akins namely that your neighbour is anyone who

Main points of Case (The details of this were)
Mrs Donoghue drank some ginger beer in which she found the remains of a snail in her bottle.

Awarded $2,500 in compensation even though she assumed risks of going to an ice hockey match, she
had a right to rely on the barriers to protect her.
Number 3: Causation: An example of this was Langham v Connell Point Rovers Soccer Club [2005] A
spectator was awarded £145,000 after tripping over a loose rope in a car park attending a soccer
match. The rope was a similar colour to the dirt in the car and this caused it to be invisible.
Number 4: Injury: A case illustrating this element is Klyne v Bellegrade [1978]: Organisers were held
liable when a spectator suffered serious injury after being struck by an ice hockey stick, whilst
standing in an unprotected aisle alongside the rink.
6. Limiting Liability: There are limits to the imposition of liability on a sport organiser.
There are also limits of liability on the sport organiser.
So for instance there is a voluntary Assumption of Risk Limit the liability of organisers where there is
an inherent risk. At county cricket grounds organisers take the precautions of informing spectators via
the match ticket that there is a possibility that cricket balls may be hit into the crowd (i.e. If a batsman
scores a six .)
Secondly there is Contributory Negligence The organiser would have to show that the spectator was
negligent in the actions they took and contributed to their injuries. If this is the case, the defendant will
be relieved of some responsibility for damages. (James,

The Theme Of Forgiveness In The Power Of One Peekay
Forgiveness can have different reason for forgiving and different ways it would effect a person. There
is forgiving someone for just being rude or calling someone names. There is forgiving someone for
harming them mentally or physically. No matter the reason for forgiving someone the impact can be
big on the person doing the forgiving. In The Power of One Peekay and a few others forgive people
for harming them or just insulting them. Peekay is the one who forgives people most often. Peekay
was still able to forgive the Judge after he wronged him multiple times. He still had it in his heart to
do so. Peekay also would forgive the Judge because he realized that what the Judge had done to him
had improved him physically and mentally. Even though Peekay was able to forgive people that didn t
mean he was able to forget the things they had done to him. He was still hurt by the way they treated
him. In The Power of One, Bryce Courtenay uses the theme of forgiveness to demonstrate how Peekay
can forgive after many hardships, how Peekay can forgive someone because the way they wronged
him helped him later in life, and how forgiving doesn t always mean forgetting. Courtenay expresses
the theme of forgiveness by using Peekay as an example of how someone can forgive even after many
hardships. Throughout the story Peekay is continuously having struggles with bullies, losing people,
and trying to start his boxing career. The person who caused him the most amount of pain was also the

Members of Led Zeppelin are feeling a whole lotta love for members of a Los Angeles jury who ruled

Testimony from band members and Stairway writers, Robert Plant and Jimmy Page, along with
testimony from bandmate John Paul Jones were key in helping the jury come to a decision in the case.

Consequences of Losing The Sense of Touch
Consequences of Losing The Sense of Touch
Touch is the first sense we experience in the womb and may also be the last we experience before
death. To understand the consequences of losing the sense of touch we must first understand its
benefits. Touch is an important element of how we understand and relate to our world. Touch can
convey personal feeling towards one another or it can convey danger such as heat or sharp surfaces.
The inability to feel sensations on the ski impacts many different situations and can potentially have
dangerous repercussions. Our ability to survive is not generally dependent on our sense of smell or our
sense of taste. However, if one does not possess the sense of touch, it can directly imperil our very
existence.
The consequences for a loss of the ability to process pain would be numerous and catastrophic. Pain is
your body s way of telling you something is wrong. Pain s job is to draw your attention to sensations
such as a burn or a bone break so that you can address the cause of the issue. For instance, if you
sprained your ankle, without pain receptors your body would have no way of alarming you of the
danger. This situation could require you to tear something resulting in a major injury instead of a
minor sprain which would take a couple weeks to heal. People born without pain receptors are much
more prone to serious accidents resulting in injury or death. Without pain you may not receive an early
warning of infections that could

Effect of Sucrose Molarity on Potato Tuber Weight
Using Sucrose Solutions to Determine Osmolarity of Potato Tubers Based on Weight

October 2, 2012
Abstract:
In this experiment we were trying to determine the osmolarity of potato tubers by weighing them
before and after incubating them in solutions of sucrose with varying molarities. To find the
osmolarity we took a potato and used a cork borer to obtain seven samples of potato tubers. We then
prepared seven beakers with concentrations of sucrose ranging from 0.0M to 0.6M. After weighing the
potato tubers one by one we cut them in half and placed each halved tuber into each beaker. We

The control treatment was beaker 1 which contained only DI water. There was no repetition to this

Results:
The purpose of this experiment was to incubate potato tubers in solutions with increasing molarities of
sucrose to determine osmolarity based on the weight of the potato tubers before and after incubation.
After removing the potato tubers from the beakers, we weighed the pieces and recorded the weights.
We then observed the weight change and percent change in weight of the potatoes. In every
concentration of sucrose the weight of the potato tubers increased, with the largest change in weight
being in the 0.2M solution of sucrose with a change of 9.5%. The smallest change in weight was in the
0.4M solution of sucrose; the change in weight was 0.47% (Table 1). The percent change in weight of
the potato tubers started high at 0.0M with a change of 4.3% and decreased to 2.4% at 0.1M, then
increased dramatically to 9.5% at 0.2M. It decreased again to 0.48% at 0.3M then again to 0.47% at
0.4M. At 0.5M it increased to 3.5%, and then at 0.6M the weight change decreased again to 1.0%. The
percent change of weight generally decreased from 0.0M to 0.4M, and both 0.5M and 0.6M are
increases from 0.4M (Figure 1).

Essay On Biofilm Formation
Biofilms are communities of bacterial cells. Bacterial cells become much more antibiotic tolerant by
forming biofilms. Antibiotic resistance causes more than two million infections and 23,000 deaths in
the United States every year. It is really urgent that we need to understand the biofilm formation so
that we can develop novel antibiotics. People have found out that there are some signaling molecules,
which are critical for biofilm formation. However, we do not know how the distributions of signaling
molecules determine individual cell fate during tolerance and persistence development. Studying the
spatial and temporal distributions of signaling molecules in single cell level will help us understanding
the mechanism of biofilm formation. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Spinach was discovered using the Systematic Evolution of Ligands by Exponential Enrichment
(SELEX) technique against DFHBI immobilized on agarose resin. People have developed Spinach
based sensors against adenosine, ADP, S adenosyl methionine (SAM), guanine, cyclic di GMP (c di
GMP) and GTP using existing aptamer sequences. A key challenge for RNA based sensors is that they
normally function poorly in cells. This is because RNA is easily degraded by nuclease and also has
poor folding in intracellular. Poor folding RNA can be contributed by many elements, such as the
difference folding structures and thermal instability, or rely on ion concentration. Later people
developed 49 nt long aptamer Broccoli, which has brighter green fluorescence upon binding DFHBI.
Folding of Broccoli only needs low concentration of magnesium and the Mg2+ presents low amount
in body so Broccoli can fold better than Spinach. Broccoli also has a higher thermostability than
Spinach. Additionally, Broccoli does not require a tRNA scaffold to promote its folding in vivo.
However, under cellular imaging conditions, Spinach and Broccoli show greatly reduced fluorescence
compared with nominal brightness. It has been known that the fluorescence decrease of
Spinach−DFHBI is not due to irreversible photobleaching like GFP. It is caused by reversible
conversion to a non fluorescent state and the signal can be recovered

  • 2. Differences Between Judaism And Judaism Judaism has a concrete connection to the development of Christianity which has influenced the teachings of the religion that would not be made possible without its presence. There are similarities between the Christian faiths to Judaism from how the religions are practiced to the hymns that are shared between the two. A primary difference is the historical background to the discovery of the religions. Another difference would be the sacred text that are used in prayer considering Judaism uses the Hebrew bible and Christians use the New Testament. The Hebrew bible is referred to as the Old Testament yet that might not be the case according to Jews. A similarity from the two religions is the fact that they are both monotheism which is the belief that there is only one God. Yet the two differ on the beliefs on the one that is called God or the divine. Another fascinating similarity that the two share are the Ten Commandments. The commandments were discovered by Moses on two tablets which has been practice by Jews primarily. The adaptation of the commandments were carried over into the New Testament. Considering most of the Hebrew Bible shares a cross connection into the New testament it is clear that it would not have been created without the influence of Judaism. Judaism is a temple based religion that is practice in a synagogue that originated in Israel. Moses was the first author to the scrolls called the Torah. The verbal teachings of Judaism was how Moses spread the word ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It was not until the mid nineteenth century when Colonel Edwin Drake discovered the how to retrieve even larger quantities of oil. Furthermore in the Alaskan area, the Exxon Valdez oil tanker leaked approximately 11 million gallons of oil into the Prince William Sound. Threats Damages to the Cryosphere The cryosphere refers to the frozen water part of the Earth system including the frozen parts of the ocean, such as waters surrounding the Arctic. Recent studies show that the cryosphere is generally in a poor state, and scientific agreement stated that average global temperatures will continues to increase over the next century. This means that the existing risk to these climatically sensitive areas is increasing. In the past 20 years, the amount of summer sea ice in the Arctic has decreased dramatically, and could even disappear completely within the next hundred years. Evidence shows that some of these depletions in the cryosphere are human induced, specifically the fragmentation of sea ice when oil tankers break through the frozen waters to make a passageway. This fragmentation leads to global sea rise and habitat destruction for large predators such as polar bears and seals, in addition to other Arctic wildlife. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Percy s noble task is to open our minds to the possibility that we are not the masters of what we know that, in part, what we know and what we see, when approached passively, have a lot more to do with preformed symbolic complex than with ourselves (512). Percy s exploration achieves one of the main goals of all philosophy to change the way we think about things. He changes the meaning of many concepts human beings tend to take for granted. Sight is no longer the mere act of seeing, but a struggle, an act of understanding and appreciation (523). Sovereignty, in relation to things, is no longer some abstract concept of power, but an ability to interpret for oneself (517). Education or perhaps more specifically, its dynamic is reshaped, for it is no longer a passive act (i.e. being taught to ) but an action that relies much more upon the student, who may have the greatest difficulty in salvaging the creature itself from the educational package in which it is presented (519). These concept alterations are thus meant to alter our reality; they aim to help us rediscover in art what he calls in his opening paragraph an island, Formosa. With the thought of war and revolution most people think that soldiers and leaders are the ones who usually suffer the most. Both of the poems Army of Music and Rich Woman Poor Woman depict that the innocent civilians suffer the most. Symbolism, figurative imagery, and atmosphere help provide this claim. Within both poems the symbolism within them create a sense of sadness behind their hidden meanings. The main symbol in Army of Music is the actual music depicted within the story but if you pictured this music as the sound of war and screams it creates a different tone within the story. In the third stanza the poet wrote Sirens echo through the music but we keep dancing . If you were to change music to screams and gunfire while dancing to running you could imagine the fear and anguish they are going through. The Missouri Compromise stated that Missouri would enter the union as a slave state and that slavery would be prohibited above the 30 degree 30 latitude. This compromise essentially split the country into two parts; pro slavery south and a anti slavery ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Financial Editor Adam O Daniel reported on the Charlotte Business Journal about Prudential pulling a Retirement Challenge stunt at the NASCAR Hall of Fame Courtyard in Charlotte, N.C. The company toppled a 30 foot tall domino stone, beginning with just a normal size domino, to illustrate the long term outcome of systematic retirement investing. The stunt involved Harvard professor and best selling author Dan Gilbert asking bystanders how much money they had in their pockets. The rope was a similar colour to the dirt in the car and this caused it to be invisible. • 34. The Theme Of Forgiveness In The Power Of One Peekay Forgiveness can have different reason for forgiving and different ways it would effect a person. There is forgiving someone for just being rude or calling someone names. There is forgiving someone for harming them mentally or physically. No matter the reason for forgiving someone the impact can be big on the person doing the forgiving. In The Power of One Peekay and a few others forgive people for harming them or just insulting them. Peekay is the one who forgives people most often. Peekay was still able to forgive the Judge after he wronged him multiple times. He still had it in his heart to do so. Peekay also would forgive the Judge because he realized that what the Judge had done to him had improved him physically and mentally. Even though Peekay was able to forgive people that didn t mean he was able to forget the things they had done to him. He was still hurt by the way they treated him. In The Power of One, Bryce Courtenay uses the theme of forgiveness to demonstrate how Peekay can forgive after many hardships, how Peekay can forgive someone because the way they wronged him helped him later in life, and how forgiving doesn t always mean forgetting. Courtenay expresses the theme of forgiveness by using Peekay as an example of how someone can forgive even after many hardships. • 36. Consequences of Losing The Sense of Touch Consequences of Losing The Sense of Touch Touch is the first sense we experience in the womb and may also be the last we experience before death. To understand the consequences of losing the sense of touch we must first understand its benefits. Touch is an important element of how we understand and relate to our world. Touch can convey personal feeling towards one another or it can convey danger such as heat or sharp surfaces. The inability to feel sensations on the ski impacts many different situations and can potentially have dangerous repercussions. Our ability to survive is not generally dependent on our sense of smell or our sense of taste. However, if one does not possess the sense of touch, it can directly imperil our very existence. The consequences for a loss of the ability to process pain would be numerous and catastrophic. Pain is your body s way of telling you something is wrong. Pain s job is to draw your attention to sensations such as a burn or a bone break so that you can address the cause of the issue. For instance, if you sprained your ankle, without pain receptors your body would have no way of alarming you of the danger. This situation could require you to tear something resulting in a major injury instead of a minor sprain which would take a couple weeks to heal. People born without pain receptors are much more prone to serious accidents resulting in injury or death. Without pain you may not receive an early warning of infections that could ... Effect of Sucrose Molarity on Potato Tuber Weight Using Sucrose Solutions to Determine Osmolarity of Potato Tubers Based on Weight By Thomas Pelikan Biology 200A Section 004 Kimberly Schmidt October 2, 2012 Abstract: In this experiment we were trying to determine the osmolarity of potato tubers by weighing them before and after incubating them in solutions of sucrose with varying molarities. To find the osmolarity we took a potato and used a cork borer to obtain seven samples of potato tubers. We then prepared seven beakers with concentrations of sucrose ranging from 0.0M to 0.6M. Results: The purpose of this experiment was to incubate potato tubers in solutions with increasing molarities of sucrose to determine osmolarity based on the weight of the potato tubers before and after incubation. After removing the potato tubers from the beakers, we weighed the pieces and recorded the weights. We then observed the weight change and percent change in weight of the potatoes. In every concentration of sucrose the weight of the potato tubers increased, with the largest change in weight being in the 0.2M solution of sucrose with a change of 9.5%. The smallest change in weight was in the 0.4M solution of sucrose; the change in weight was 0.47% (Table 1). The percent change in weight of the potato tubers started high at 0.0M with a change of 4.3% and decreased to 2.4% at 0.1M, then increased dramatically to 9.5% at 0.2M. Antibiotic resistance causes more than two million infections and 23,000 deaths in the United States every year. It is really urgent that we need to understand the biofilm formation so that we can develop novel antibiotics. People have found out that there are some signaling molecules, which are critical for biofilm formation. Spinach was discovered using the Systematic Evolution of Ligands by Exponential Enrichment (SELEX) technique against DFHBI immobilized on agarose resin. People have developed Spinach based sensors against adenosine, ADP, S adenosyl methionine (SAM), guanine, cyclic di GMP (c di GMP) and GTP using existing aptamer sequences. A key challenge for RNA based sensors is that they normally function poorly in cells. This is because RNA is easily degraded by nuclease and also has poor folding in intracellular. Poor folding RNA can be contributed by many elements, such as the difference folding structures and thermal instability, or rely on ion concentration. Later people developed 49 nt long aptamer Broccoli, which has brighter green fluorescence upon binding DFHBI. Folding of Broccoli only needs low concentration of magnesium and the Mg2+ presents low amount in body so Broccoli can fold better than Spinach. Broccoli also has a higher thermostability than Spinach. Additionally, Broccoli does not require a tRNA scaffold to promote its folding in vivo. However, under cellular imaging conditions, Spinach and Broccoli show greatly reduced fluorescence compared with nominal brightness.
