heart of central Georgia nestled along the banks of the Ocmulgee River. It is the 4th largest

From 2007 2011 the overall mortality rate for cardiovascular disease in Macon Bibb County was
129.3 per 100,000 and was higher than the state rate of 77.4 per 100,000 (Georgia Department of
Public Health:
North Central Health District website, 2013). The cancer mortality rate has been on the decline in
Georgia (169.6 per 100,000) since 2007 but on the rise in Macon Bibb County since 2010; the
leading cause of cancer related mortality within the community for both men and women was lung
cancer with 120.6 per 100,000, which is lower than the state rate of 169 per 100,000
(Georgia Department of Public Health: North Central Health District website, 2013).

Population economic status assessment
In order to obtain the population s economic status, the Population Economic Status
Assessment tool was utilized to complete the evaluation. The population of 155,547 had a median
household income of $36,327 and showed 29.2% of them living in poverty in 2013
( Profile: Bibb County, 2015). Of the 29.2% of the population living in poverty, they were divided

In the middle ages , the main topic used in poems was a nobleman, usually a knight in love with
a married woman and had to prove his devotion by heroic deeds and amorous writings . They
used blazon to emphasis the beautiful bodies of the women in those days. However, there was a
radical change in the Victorian times where prostitution became such a big issue. The poems
became darker and less courtly. In the poem, My last duchess by Robert Browning there was no
traditional blazon such as complementing the duchess body. Yet, the speaker who is also the Duke
talks about the women s body as the main justification for her assassination. The duke talks about
her smile as the reason for his jealousy and possessive obecession.
Robert Browning uses various literary devices to provoke a feeling to the reader. By his choice of
devices, we are able to understand the feelings of the Duke towards the Duchess. The rhyme
scheme of this poem is organized in rhyming couplets (AABBCC) this is used to show the
relationship between him and the duchess (couplets) it may also be used to show is obecession
with controlling everything and having everything organized and planned. The lines are paired in
rhyming couplets, but these couplets are open which shows the Robert Browning uses various

A soldier s plight to take up arms and answer the nation s call usually is not met with resistance.
However the path to service for the 54th Massachusetts all black infantry regiment was different
than most soldiers. On January 1, 1863, the Emancipation Proclamation presented an opportunity
for freed slaves in the north to fight for their cause. Thus allowing the 54th Massachusetts Infantry
Regiment to organize and prepare to join the Union s army in the Civil War. The assault on Battery

The two types of salts that were deposited on the floor were Halite and Gypsum. Some of the salt
deposits were as deep as 800 meters which is equivalent to 2,500 feet. The scientists were baffled

Abstract Elementary education is a field that is abundant with female teachers. The disparity
between the number of male teachers and the number of female teachers is actually increasing and
is arguably as disparate as nearly any field of employment in the American workforce. While this
does not automatically, nor necessarily, mean that having more men in the field will increase
academic and behavioral performance of boys, it is most certainly worth a look. This research
study is of the view that having more males in the teaching workforce does increase some students
performance. This is not because males are better teachers than females. It is seemingly, in part,
because there are more and more boys who are raised by single mothers than ever before and many
are missing strong and caring male role models. It was also found that boys who struggle in school
sometimes connect better with teachers that share the same gender, interests, customs, and more.

This paper will examine the various components of deforestation on a local and global scale. The
following data seen throughout the research paper will analyze the different types of deforestation
and the detrimental impact it leaves on the earth.. I contributed my own data and analysis in
analyzing the time analysis of the concentration of carbon dioxide in the troposphere represented in
Figure A. I created a time analysis map with NASA Giovanni between 1980 and 2002. The time
period was chosen to represent the effects once deforestationbegan to increase around the 1980s. I
also generated a map of deforestation in California through Global Forest Watch.
II.Introduction
Climate change is such a prevalent topic of concern in modern day that it is important to
understand the contributions to it, deforestation being one of them. Deforestation exacerbates the
already negative consequences of climate change. Forests play a fundamental role in many
different aspects of earth systems and deforestation is decreasing the benefits of forests. Forests
cover approximately thirty one percent of the land cover in the world; however, 46 56 square
miles of forestlands are lost each year (World Wildlife Fund). As technology continues to advance
and the world increasingly becomes more industrialized, deforestation has the potential to get so
extreme it will be difficult to go back and fix the negative effects.

Some of the people who were infected first in the story were visiting a site in Kenya called Kitum
Cave. A U.S. scientific expedition goes there in hopes of finding the origins of these viruses.

In A Streetcar Named Desire, men are the social groups represented with these roles alpha, beta,
omega. Males are portrayed as a big part in Tennessee s book, which shows the respect and rights
they hold. The men are shown this way to give off their looks and personality. The way things are
set up in the book shows the understanding of each male characters and where they stand.
The top dog Stanley is the alpha, Pablo and Steve are betas and Mitch is the omega. For
example,in the book the author writes, Stanley doesn t give me a regular allowance; he likes to
pay bills himself. (pg 78) . Making it seemed as if Stanley is the man and has it all under control .
The author wants the audience to know that Stanley has the money so he is the one in charge and
what he want has to be done, and done his way. But on the other hand the author introduces Mitch
as a very soft, awkward man that is a mamas boy .The book quotes, Hurry back and we ll fix you
a sugar tit. (pg 48). The quote refers that Mitch is as a man who can t do anything on his own
and he still is a baby and lives off his mom and has her do things for him. Tennessee used
different reference to show how the men are described in, A Streetcar Named Desire. Alphas are
always the first or leaders in the group. While betas back the alphas up and got their backs. And
last are omegas they are the loser. Betas are more anti and careless of what others care, they don t
care what others think. Steve and Pablo are kind and they try to not interfere in much of what goes

babies are kept in nurturing centers until they are grown enough to be put into their school
system. If the babies don t grow fast enough then they are killed. Once the babies do grow

Abstract
Wettability of the particles plays an important role and is reflected by the three phase contact angle,
Оё. However, the contact angle is frequently neglected in the studies. This mini review focused on
the experimental methods that use to measure the contact angle of particles at fluid interface. The
methods includes Gel trapping technique, Freeze Fracture Shadow Casting (FreSCa), ellipsometry,
the excluded area method, Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) coupled to a colloidal probe, drop
shape techniques, and Contact angle evaluation from the collapse pressure of surface pressure area
isotherms.
Keywords: contact angle, fluid interface, nanoparticle, microparticle Introduction Particles at fluid
interfaces are very common both in nature and technological process such as food science,
biomaterials and biomedicine. Constraint of particles at fluid interfaces has lead to a critical study.
This research pays attention on fundamental problems of soft matter in order to develop new
processes and products. The energies related to the attachment of particles to fluid interfaces rely on
four factors: roughness, chemical nature, wettability and size of the particles[1]. Wettability of the
particles plays an important role and is reflected by the three phase contact angle, Оё.

challenges(i.e., work motivation). This study indicates using management practices over
motivational challenges as a focus of the study. The present study also uses VIST model of

At this time last year, I would have considered all music before the 20th century to be classical.
However, after taking a Dual Credit Music Appreciation course, I realized that old music cannot
