across the U.S.: CBNA, Direct to Consumer, Government, Corporate, Employee, Relationship,
High Net Worth,and Community/Bond Lending which included up to 40 Risk Management staff
and 520 Underwriters. Reviewed transactions over$2 Mil and level 5 exception transactions.
Trained and supported the Deputy Chiefs and Risk Managers,and Underwriters on Credit Policy,
Processes,QC/UPR results, etc. Monitored mentoring of Underwriters. Oversaw Operational
procedures in meeting goals while maintaining credit quality. Recommended new and updated
credit policy and procedures,as well as operational controls. Initiated several quality and policy

 Developed robust tracking of Underwriter quality results including reviews for Underwriter
performance, pre-close quality review, post-close quality assurance,MI reviews, and portfolio
placement reviews.
 Maintained an average of 97% Underwriter Performance Quality for several years and
reduced Credit QC rate by more than 50%.
 Initiated a HARP streamlined underwriting process and training, allowing new, junior
underwriters to successfully obtain signature authority and producing HARP decisions within
3 weeks and maintaining over 98% quality.
 Cultivated internal relationships and improved those among Sales, Underwriting, and Credit
Policy while increasing Sales’ knowledge of credit policy and increasing Underwriters’
awareness of the application process.
