Mortgage Operations Manager, Mortgage
Serves as a manager and leader, overseeing and directing all aspects of mortgage loan operations
for the credit union. This will be accomplished by:
 Implementing sound management practices while overseeing mortgage loan processing,
underwriting, loan documentation, post-closing fulfillment, loan servicing, secondary
market sales, asset quality controls, loan quality reporting, fee levels and available credit
levels, profitability and mortgage compliance.
 Establishing internal procedures, implementing process improvements and ensuring

Senior Mortgage Loan Underwriter
 Evaluates mortgage loan Applications in order to maximize return on investment and
minimize risk of loss.
 Act as an advisor to the loan officers & processors throughout the loan process to ensure
closing deadlines and investor guidelines are met.
 In depth knowledge of secondary market standards, relevant consumer protection laws,
federal and state regulations for mortgage lending.
 Underwrite the mortgage loan files to ensure that they comply with secondary market and
portfolio product guidelines.
 Identify contingencies that prevent loan approval.
 Experience with underwriting conforming loans (Freddie Mac or Fannie Mae) and
government loans (FHA, VA or USDA).
 Experience with automated mortgage underwriting systems.
 Ability to manually underwrite conforming loans.
 Ability to calculate an individual’s income by performing cash flow analysis on an
individual’s personal and business tax returns.
 Possess a depth understanding of the appraisal process and ensures properties are in
accordance to secondary market guidelines.
