The student enjoyed researching the legacies of ancient Egypt, especially the ship of the sun and the pharaoh's lighthouse. They found writing reports on the computer challenging but were proud of their final product which their mother complimented. Creating artifacts for an archaeology presentation was difficult due to the time and effort required, though they were proud of their pharaoh's headdress. The student overall enjoyed giving their presentation and felt they improved at finding resources and writing on a computer through this project.

My Civilization: Egypt
The Research Journey:
My favorite part of the research journey was taking notesbecause I
got lots of information. My best research question was “what were
the legacies of ancient Egypt?” because I have some information
about legacies.While doing my research, I found it difficult to write
because I have to write on computer. The most interesting thing I
learned about the structure of society was that the ancient
Egyptians calledthe king a pharaoh.I think that ship of the sun and
Pharoah’slighthouse areimportant legacies of ancient Egypt
because they are thefirst inventions of lighthouses and ships.
Report Writing
I am proud of my report because my mom said you were so
wonderful.While writing the report, I became better at writingon the
computer.If I wrote it again, I would improve my report by using
more interesting and wonderful writing.
Archeology Presentation
I didn’t enjoy making my artifacts because it spent many days and
it was hard.I found it difficult to get information.I am most proud of
my pharaoh’s headdress artifact because I can tell about king’s
river.I enjoyed the archeology presentation because a lot of people
liked my report. I found it difficult to get information because I have
to get a lot of information.While preparing for this presentation, I
became better at getting resources.
What else?
During this unit I especially enjoyed the presentation.I took extra
time to writing on computer.After this unit, I might continue to get
information.
