My Civilization: Rome
The Research Journey:
My favorite part of the research journey was taking notes because I
foundmany information in computers and books. My best research
question was “What kinds of clothes did Romans wear?” because
there was a lot of really important information.While doing my
research, I found it difficult to made sentence from words because I
couldn’t summarize very well.The most interesting thing I learned
about the structure of society was that there were millions of slaves
in Roman lands.I think roads and aqueducts are important legacy of
ancient Rome because roads were important for travel, trade and
defense and aqueduct were important because they held water and
moved it around the city.
Report Writing
I am proud of my report because I found a lot of information.
While writing the report, I became better at summarizing.If I wrote it
again, I would improve my report by using better words.
Archeology Presentation
I enjoyed making my artifacts because I like making things and being
creative.I found it difficult to write the presentation.I am most proud
of my rock artifact because it really looked like it came from a real
road. I enjoyed the archeology presentation because I Ilike writing on
the computer.I found it difficult to make it into sentences and
paragraphs.While preparing for this presentation, I became better at
making words into sentences.
What else?
During this unit I especially enjoyed the“archeologist exhibition”.
I took extra time to add more information to my report.After this
unit, I might continue to give presentations because I know I can.
