The student enjoyed researching ancient Egypt the most, especially learning about their trade systems. While researching, the student found it difficult to find detailed facts and information from books and websites. The student took pride in writing the longest report so far and including artifacts they made, especially an arrowhead. The student looks forward to continuing their research into other ancient civilizations.

My Civilization: Egypt
The Research Journey:
My favorite part of the research journey was to do the
reaserchbecause I learned alot by reading the books that I used to
do my research. My best research question was about “systems of
trade” because every thing I learned I never knew before I came
to grade 4. While doing my research, I found it difficult tofind
facts that were very detailed because mostly the books and sites
weren’t helpful enough. The most interesting thing I learned
about the structure of society was that they had weights called
deben and kite. I think thatwritting is an important legacy of
ancient Egypt because we still use it today.
Report Writing
I am proud of my report because it is the longest report I’ve ever
written and making sentences so they make sense was difficult.
While writing the report, I became better atat using words. If I
wrote it again, I would improve my report by learning where to
stop the sentences.
Archeology Presentation
I enjoyed enjoy making my artifacts because it was fun to make
the things with the clay. I found it difficult to get all the
artifacts I needed. I am most proud of my of my arrow
headbecause it was the only real arrowhead in the whole
presentation.I enjoyed the archeology presentation because I
could show off all the knowlege Igathered during my research.
What else?
During this unit I especially enjoyedhelping people finish and
when they got stuck. I took extra time to finish the research of
trade because it was not easy to find out this information. After
