The cerebellum, or 'little brain', plays a crucial role in motor control, coordination, and timing of movements, with functional divisions including the cerebrocerebellum, spinocerebellum, and vestibulocerebellum. It consists of three anatomical lobes, interconnected nuclei, and various afferent and efferent pathways and is supplied by three paired arteries. Dysfunction in the cerebellum can lead to symptoms such as ataxia, dysdiadochokinesia, and intention tremor.
