2. FILMS THAT I HAVE SELECTED
The two films that I have chosen that are similar to the opening sequence of are film
production are 7 Days and Scream. I have chosen the film production 7 Days because
the storyline towards the film has a similar outline to are film production. 7 Days is about
a doctor who seeks revenge by kidnapping, torturing and killing the man who raped and
murdered his young daughter. The reason why this is similar is because it has the same
content of kidnapping and ravage. Scream is about a teenage girl who becomes the
target of a killer who has stalked and killed one of her classmates. A tabloid news
reporter is determined to uncover the truth, insisting that the man who raped and killed
Campbell's mother one year earlier is the same man who is terrorizing her now. Only this
man has a feature that covers his identity. The reason I have chosen Scream is because
in the film production it uses similar props and context within the film.
3. COSTUMES
In scream the costumes used on the characters is similar to are costumes that are
character wear in are film production. The main character within the Scream production
hasn't got an identity. This is because he or she uses a mask which prevents people from
knowing his or hers identity. This is similar to are production as we have character that
uses a mask to cover his identity. The mask that is used in the production Scream is used
to scare the audience which is one of the conventions of a horror film. This is identical to
are mask that we have used in are production as it gives the same effect. Unlike Scream
are production does not have any similarity with 7 Days using costumes.
4. CHARACTERS
In 7 Days some of the characters within the production are similar to the ones in are
production. The main characters within 7 Days are Brouno Hamel who is the father of
Jasmine Hamel and the murderer. After the killing of Brouno daughter he kidnaps and
torchers the murder for 7 Days. These characters are similar to are characters because we
have Charlie who has been effected by event and wants to get revenge similar to Brouno
and does this by kidnapping his bullies and making them suffer.
In Scream one of the main characters is similar to one of characters in which the role he
plays. The unidentified character in Scream looks to kidnap and kill people based on based
on their history with the killer. This is the same with Charlie who is the kidnaper of the bullies
as the bullies have been making his life a misery.
5. SETTING
The setting of Scream doesn't’t have much similarity to are production as Scream is set in a
small town and are production is set in and an banned school. When the killings take place
within the production of Scream the setting is in the night with low lighting to create build up
in tension. This is similar to are production as before we show who has been kidnaped the
bully is in a dark a banded school which also builds tension.
