2. The article starts with a large picture of the two main characters confronting each other to set
the scene for the film. It then shows a film poster so people can relate it with the movie. Then
the main cast in the film are shown beneath the poster to try and improve star power in the
movie and attract people because of the people who are staring in the film. The reviewer
automatically shows their opinion on the film from the star rating below the picture in order to
give people an idea of the film.
3. The first two paragraphs of the review set the scene from the movie and general background
information such as who the director and the two stars are an other movies they were in. The
article uses interesting events and quotes to try entice the audience into reading the rest of the
review and to try and sell the movie. A such quote is “As fate would have it, my business is all
about you.” The article uses lots of adjectives and descriptive language in order to make the movie
sound interesting. To the left of this there is general information about the movie such as the
director, producers , screenplay, photography, editors and music. Then finally there is a brief
summary of the film which includes the genre, certification and length. There are also links to Web
2.0 so that the articles can be shared on social media in order to use spread of mouth to spread
knowledge about the movie.
4. The third article sets the scene for the movie
including some important plot information and
the setting such as “Dallas-Ft Worth airport. They
also set up the background for the character such
as “ She’s Lisa, a hotel desk manager,” this sets
the character up for the rest of the film.
In the fourth article it explains why the film is
interesting and compares it with the conventions
of the psychological thriller genre.
The fifth paragraph gives the reviewers personal
opinion on the film and why he has this opinion.
This includes anecdotes that he shares about the
film to the audience in an attempt to show his
thinking on the film.
The sixth paragraph talks about the main actor in
other films and her personal rise to stardom
which includes listing these films and her
characters. Then finally it talks about her
character in this film compared to her others, “
Wedding Crashers, where Owen Wilson fell in
love with her and caught a heart-warming case of
sincerity. Now This”
5. The seventh article talks about the main characters a little more and their performance in the
film and what it could mean for them in the future and saying that together both of the
characters are good as a partnership for future movies.
The final paragraph talks about the directors pedigree in the genre and how good the films were
in the past and how the director prefers to story ahead of characters. It then gives his final
opinion of the movie including a quote from someone else and his final opinion on the movie.
He uses two words for dramatic effect. “Not bad.”
