22. 5. REPRESENTATION OF INOVATION (DAKSH
CHULLA –BIOMASS STOVE) ON THE VISIT OF CHIEF
MINISTER OF UATTARAKHAND IN THE ORGANISATION
HESCO has developed a new cooker named as a DUKSH CHULLA.
The cooker is suitable for the places where LPG and electricity
availability is hard to get. It can be used daily as useable cooker for
cooking food.
The main aim of this cooker is to utilize the agriculture wastes like small
dry leaves, dry wood, fallen branches, bushes etc. The dung cake and
weeds can also be used as a fuel in this cooker. It depends on the
availability of the bio resource. Since, it is steam based cooking; vitamin
and other important nutrients almost remain intact.
FUNCTIONAL SCIENCE:
Work in steam flow cooking method by the utilization of waste bio-mass.
23. STRUCTURE OF DAKSH
CHULLA:
•Portable cooker
•Divided into 2 parts – outer, inner
•Cylindrical in shape
•Dimension 20inch in height and
10 inch diameter-outer
•13inch long and 9inch diameter -
inner
24. 6.Analysis of Spring-Recharging concept in
the Himalayas region (salga and the shuklapur)
Spring recharging
concept
This whole process of water
recharging is a very
simple, but it is a
systematically devised
approach which can be
used to recharge the areas
of any given spring. In this
methodology, an
environmental isotope was
identified, and applied.

28. 8.Gross Environment Product
Gross Environment Product GEP is a concept given by Dr.
Anil Joshi.
The aim of GEP is to include environmental factors like soil,
water, forest, air as a part of GDP (Gross Domestic
Product).
It is a new dimension to measure development.
Gross Environment Product concept came to HESCO as it
was working for equal economic opportunity for rural India.
HESCO launched movement to demand Gross
Environment Product parallel to GDP so that ecological and
economical accounting can be brought in place in the
interest of rural people and country’s at large.

Dehradun, Uttarakhand
The organization has helped me in learning a lot of
professional skills during the internship period. Apart from this
I also gained theoretical as well as practical knowledge. I have
gained a lot of exposure and experience during my 45 days
internship. I have gained a lot of confidence and have grown
tremendously. I feel great for having had that experience.
