• Add Line Park tab to allow users to park and pick up calls from the client application.

Smart Tags Auto Dialing
• Phone numbers that appear in Internet Explorer and Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and
PowerPoint programs can be automatically dialed through the active MaxClient by
either clicking an icon (in Internet Explorer) or choosing “Dial by MaxClient” from a
Smart Tag (in Microsoft Office programs).
Select‐n‐Dial
• Let the user highlight a phone number from any application and then automatically dial
that phone number by pressing a shortcut key(s) the user defines for this task.
MaxCall
• MaxCall is an outbound dialing application for increasing the productivity of outbound
call center agents.
o Pre‐record the “Perfect” message
o Transfer call to system when callee’s voicemail or recording machine is reached
o Agents can continue on to the next call while the server completes the message
playback
o Store multiple messages and select message based on current campaign
o Push caller ID based on current campaign
o Note: A MaxCall license is required.
MaxMobile for iPhone, Blackberry, and Android
• MaxMobile makes your smart phone a fully capable office phone extension and serves
as a “desktop” call control client, allowing the user to access, configure, and perform
most of the company's PBX functions directly from the graphical user interface in
MaxMobile Communicator. Note: A MaxMobile license is required.
PBX, Voice Mail, and Auto Attendant New Features and Enhancements
Auto Release Conference Bridge
• When the number of station conference participants is reduced to two, MAXCS will
release the station conference bridge automatically. The extension that initiated the
conference can then transfer or park the connected call.

Insert Repeating Recording Alert Tone
• In addition to inserting a single tone before recording a conversation, a periodic
recording alert tone (1400 Hz half‐second burst repeat every 15 seconds) is added to the
recording tone configuration option. This feature only supports IP Extension using IP
Phone/IPTalk and MobileExtension over SIP Trunk.
SIP Trunk Enhancements
• Ability to send the extension Transmitted Caller ID or system Calling Line Number
through SIP trunks.
• Ability to create multiple SIP trunk profiles to support different SIP trunk service
parameters. SIP trunk profile can set the following variables for different SIP trunking
services:
o Specify different ways of sending calling line ID in SIP protocol
o Define acceptable calling line ID range or a specific number
o Enable sending caller name
o Define incoming DID number field
Mobile Extension over SIP Trunk
• This feature allows you to deliver Mobile Extension features over a SIP trunk. For
systems using PSTN, SIP trunk, or cell phone gateway as MobileExt trunks, you can
assign a MobileExt to use a specific trunk group.
Global Extension Rerouting over PSTN
• When WAN connection to a server is down and VoIP path is unavailable, the Enterprise
Manager will route call over PSTN and dials the extension number automatically when
the target’s auto‐attendant answers. Enterprise Manager will publish the main PSTN
number of each site to all VoIP domain members for PSTN rerouting.
Redirect IP Phone to an Alternate Server
• An IP phone can be configured in Enterprise Manager to automatically register to an
alternate server when the phone’s home server is down. Thus, the IP phone can still
work under the alternate (backup) server. When the home server is recovered, the
administrator can switch IP phones back to the home server from Enterprise Manager.
Enhanced 3rd Party IP Phone Support
• Supports standard SIP Hold, Transfer, Call Waiting, and server‐side Conference for
certified 3rd party SIP phones.
Secured VoIP Connection (TLS/SRTP)
• This feature is to establish secured SIP connection and encrypted conversation to
prevent eavesdropping, tampering, and message forgery. Secured connection can be
configured for connection to AltiGen IP phones and SIP‐Tie trunks.

QoS Enhancement (802.1p and 802.1Q)
• Supports layer2 802.1p (class of service priority) and 802.1Q (VLAN) in the server and
AltiGen IP phones
Administration Enhancements
Import and Export Extensions
• Ability to import and export extension configurations from/to a CSV file. Helps in the
process of creating extensions and configuring their settings for a larger deployment.
Import Extension from Active Directory
• This feature allows administrator to import extensions from Microsoft Active Directory.
This saves significant time by avoiding re‐entering extension information.
SNMP Management
• MAXCS 6.5 sends SNMP traps to report the following events to a Network Management
System:
o Server memory, CPU, or hard disk exceeds defined limits
o MAXCS Switching service is initialized, stopped, or restarted
o PRI trunk goes down or reconnects
o Gateway server loses connection or restarts
o The master or a member server in the Enterprise VoIP domain goes down or
reconnects
o IP phone server service goes down or restarts
o Voice mail service goes down or restarts
o CTI service (CT Proxy) goes down or restarts
o Softswitch redundancy switchover occurs
o Enterprise manager redirects IP phone to an alternate server when the home
server for the IP phone is not available
AltiGen IP phone auto discover server IP address
• When an AltiGen IP phone boots up, the user only needs to enter extension number and
password upon prompted. AltiGen IP phone can discover the MAXCS server IP address
from DHCP server option 120. This feature simplifies IP phone deployment process. The
user will only need to enter the extension and password to activate the extension. In
addition to making initial IP phone setup easier, this feature is also helpful when there is
a need to migrate MAXCS to a new IP address. The administrator just needs to update
the new MAXCS IP address in the DHCP server and then reboot all AltiGen IP phones.
The phones will automatically pick up the new MAXCS IP address.

Custom Phrase Management tool
• Custom Phrase Manager is a Windows‐based application that makes managing custom
phrases easy. It displays all custom phrases in a graphical user interface. You can add,
delete, play, or modify a phrase by clicking a button. You also can rename an existing
phrase to a meaningful name. Note: An AltiGen Client SDK license is required to use this
tool.
Changes in automatic administrative tasks
• The configuration backup option under MAXCS Data Management is now turned on by
default.
• In the midnight tasks, reset channel is removed, and MAXCS will no longer reset
channels and boards automatically.
• The administrator is reminded to register hardware ‐ In this update, when MaxAdmin is
launched, if it detects that hardware is not registered, it pops up a message box to
remind the administrator to register the hardware. The message box is just a reminder.
Administer can still log in to MaxAdmin after the dialog box disappears
Microsoft Exchange 2007 Unified Messaging Integration
Native Mode
• Ability to return a call from Exchange voice mail
• Allow caller to “Zero out" from Exchange voice mail greeting
• Outlook 2007 user can click "Play on Phone" option to play the voice mail stored in
Exchange through an IP phone
• AltiGen voicemail greeting is disabled when configured as Native mode integration. This
eliminates the double‐greeting when using Native mode.
Bridged Mode
• Option to enable voice mail synchronization in Bridged mode.
