3. My project is about a book “Alice’s Adventures
in Wonderland” by Lewis Carroll. Its characters are
so unusual and yet somehow so right that they still
have been delighting children all over the world
since the time the book was first published in June
1867.
For about 150 years this book has been
remaining in print. Today “Alice’s Adventures in
Wonderland” is next to the Bible and the works of
Shakespeare among the world’s most widely
translated works of literature. Its translations are
available in over 70 languages.
I also enjoy this book greatly and here is a
story in my own pictures telling about some of
Alice’s adventures.
4. One sunny morning Alice was bored
and sleepy.
Suddenly she saw a white rabbit with
red eyes and followed it down its hole into a
magic world where very strange things had
happened.
5. She saw a lot of cupboards and bookshelves
on the walls of the hole.
There were also some maps, pictures and
many doors which were all closed.
6. Looking for a key, she saw a table with
a bottle on it.
Alice drank it all and became small.
7. Then she saw a little glass box under the
table and a small cake in it with the words
“Eat me”.
She ate the cake and became big
again.
8. Alice visited March Hare and its friends and
had a strange tea party with them.
She met three gardeners who were painting
the white roses into a red colour because so
desired Her Majesty Queen.
9. The Queen wanted of with the Alice’s heard
for hiding the three gardeners.
Alice had appeared in the Court of the
Queen.
