• Management of G4S Scotland’s Patrol and Response business, 2500 customers
throughout Scotland, £1.3m turnover, 3 Supervisor, 41 Officers, 11 vehicles.
• Management of National Accounts for the Patrol and Response business ensuring
KPI’s are being achieved or beaten, preparation of monthly performance dashboard.
• Management of compliance to all health, safety, welfare and quality standards.
• Previous role within company involved managing a portfolio of manned guarding sites
utilising 4 Contract Managers & 380 Officers. Financial control of portfolio
maximising profit return and by re-engineering services improving service to
customers.
• Management of UK and Ireland Diageo National Account (£2.6m per annum) which
includes monthly regional KPI reporting and quarterly National Account overview.
This involves cross region responsibility and working closely with non-direct report
Contract Managers to ensure best possible service for the account.

• Health Safety and welfare of 3 Contract Managers, 1 scheduler and 100 Officers for a
portfolio covering Scotland and Northern Ireland.
• Management of Customer care to maximize service delivery and customer retention
through KPI performance management.
• Management of a portfolio in excess of £2m ensuring cost is controlled to maximize
profit.
• Targeted Operations Sales target in excess of £0.2m.
• Adherence to Quality Standards and Awards through Auditing and monthly Line
manager’s reports.

Operations Manager RMC plc 2000 – 2001
• Health Safety and welfare of 2 Operations Managers and 100 staff including the
management of 22 Concrete production plants throughout Scotland.
• Control of the contracts issued to 40 Owner / Driver contractors ensuring compliance
with Road Traffic Regulations.
• Responsible for the management of Company operated vehicles to ensure
compliance with Road Traffic Regulations, etc
• Preparation and management of Policies, Risk Assessments and Procedures to
minimize risk to customers, staff and damage to plant.
Various Positions ICI Plc 1978 - 2000
Initially employed by ICI as an Apprentice Fitter and by the end of the Apprenticeship had
qualified with a HNC in Engineering. Promoted at the age of 21 to Junior Plant Manager of a
unionized workforce and by the age of 22 went on to manage 3 production plants operated by
90 staff.
Went onto manage Procurement, Stores Warehouse and Transport, Security and eventually
Explosives decontamination of redundant assets.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Masters Degree in Business Administration from Paisley University (2000)
• NEBOSHH Certificate
