Larimar Group Holdings 2011 - 2015
The group operates a fleet of 1800 passenger buses carrying in excess of 73 mil passengers’ pa with an annual T/O of in
excess of £100million pa and employing over 2400 people with a 40% stake in a JV assembling HD vehicles and
busses.
Inventory & Plant Logistics Manager 2014 -2015
Project Managed and oversaw the Implementation of a complete Supply Chain infrastructure for the establishment of a
new Assembly Plant for Heavy Duty vehicles and busses
• Coached, managed and persuaded previously hostile staff to become a cohesive team which
ensured that the production line requirements were always met. This was especially
challenging given the nature of the inherent work force culture where management was
perceived as the enemy.
• Reviewed original staffing expectations used in the initial project plan and restructured my
areas of control which reduced headcount by 5 with savings of circa £50,000 per annum
Supply Chain Manager 2011 - 2014
Responsible for the logistics, distribution and inventory strategy of the Central Stores to improve efficiency, service
levels, procedures, cost reduction, waste and redundant stock and the optimisation of staffing, storage and vehicles.
• Personally set up new Key Performance Indicators format on stock receiving, storage and
issuing which improved productivity by 40% and reduced “lost stock” by 90%. This resulted in
less workshop downtime across the fleet.
• Reconfigured delivery protocols and times which resulted in an improved service level (27%) to
Depots and reduced transport costs by 18%.
2. • Redesigned and implemented the warehouse layout which resulted in abolishment of double
handling, an improved process flow and ultimately improved productivity and removal of health
and safety dangers, which improved picking times by 14% and delivery speed by 10%.
Automotive Industry Development Centre 2009 – 2011
To initiate various projects on behalf of the Provincial Government which assisted SME enterprises to stimulate
economic growth and boost job creation and train these entities in Business Management Skills

Undertook warehouse and logistics audits and produced reports which when implemented would result in sustainable
productivity and profitability increases
• Interrogated systems, historical data and procedures to accurately forecast revenue growth

• Undertook in-depth investigation of Denel Aviation warehouse and Inventory systems and

material and equipment and to ensure that all of these were delivered to site to meet stringent deadline requirements
• Personally reviewed current IT practices to highlight areas of concerns and issues.

• Reviewed “accepted” practice for the transportation route of extra heavy equipment to the site
