This document compares the mechanical properties of alumina (Al2O3) and low-density polyethylene (LDPE) composites, focusing on their flexural strength evaluated through experimental methods and simulations using ANSYS software. The composites show potential for low load-bearing implant applications due to their biocompatibility and can be tailored for specific mechanical properties based on the composition. Experimental results indicate discrepancies from analytical predictions, attributed to factors like manufacturing faults and material non-homogeneity.
