LETTER OF APPRECIATION
1. This is to place on record with great pride and pleasure, that the Indian Air Force
had organized a pioneering workshop on Dangerous Goods Handling for the first time in
the history of IAF from 15 June 10 to 19 June 10. With the approval of Air Headquarters
and under the guidance of Maintenance Command the task was undertaken by the
31 Movement Control Unit, Air Force Station Palam. This workshop was undertaken to
help relook into the existing procedures of IAF in the transportation of highly Dangerous
Goods like explosives and other classes of Dangerous Goods and also implement the
same in the day to day working of IAF. The pioneering workshop was attended by elite
officers of IAF of the cadre of Group Captains, Wing Commanders etc, who are the
policy implementers in the IAF and also Commanding Officers of one of the largest
logistics unit of the IAF regularly handling Dangerous Goods.
2. The course was conducted under the able guidance of Mr Subhayu Ghosh, who
brought in his expertise on the subject and his meticulous attitude to make it a grand
success. The workshop was not only appreciated by all the participants but in fact has
laid the foundation stone to relook into the procedures of seamless transportation of
Dangerous Goods in the IAF. Personally I must say that I have not seen a more
professional and knowledgeable instructor than Mr Subhayu Ghosh. I and all my
colleagues in the Indian Air Force are glad that we had the opportunity to be associated
with and be trained by Mr Subhayu Ghosh.
