Learn more about the scaled Agile Framework + scaling Agile. After a short introduction to several frameworks that aim to support the scaling of Agile (DAD, LeSS, SAFe®), this power point presentation from our webinar dives deeper into the details of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe®). Find the truth behind the often cited sentence “As Scrum is to the Agile team, SAFe® is to the Agile enterprise.”
This presentation will give you a great overview of how you can execute agile program planning, namely using the scaled agile framework in JIRA. We will describe the journey from an early stage of Agile adoption and show a typical path to adopt the Scaled Agile Framework. In order to support the effort, scaling tools are important. We will show you how JIRA, a very popular Agile tool, can be used to manage the process.
A common practice among teams in IT companies adopting the latest trends, Agile can be scaled to enterprise level once applied properly. In this Innovation Session, Maduri Senadheera from the Project Management team talks about the Agile mindset, the need for scaling and the benefits of a Scaled Agile Framework for better aligning business processes.
This webinar discusses the keys to success in scaling and measuring agile methods beyond a single team.
Damon Poole will discuss:
- The importance of Agile People, Agile Process, and Agile Tools
- The need to focus on measuring information which aids in decisions and actions.
- How the frequency of measurement is more important than accuracy
- Keys to scaling agile including: Agile tooling, test automation, self-healing and self-improvement mechanisms, a true understanding of Agile fundamentals, and one-piece-flow
- Important elements to measure success including: cycle time, story points forecast vs done, reduction of hardening time, work in progress, Net Promoter Score, and profits.

Introduction to SAFe, the Scaled Agile Frameworksrondal

Agile at Scale - Agile Orlando Lightning TalkMark Kilby
For the reboot of the Agile Orlando use group, we did lightning talks on various topics. I shared some perspectives on scaling agile. More at http://agileorlando.com
The Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) has a special event that is held for every Program Increment (5 sprints-ish). This is a large scale, collaborative event including everyone from the Agile Release Train (50 people plus). This workshop will be a highly interactive event where all participants will be involved in one of many teams collaborating together to plan a single Program Increment for a single product.
The schedule will roughly contain:
Overview of SAFe Program Increment Planning
(Fictional) Business Context
Product / Solution Vision
Architecture Vision And Development Practices
Planning Session 1
Draft Plan Review
Planning Session 2
Final Plan Review
Risk ROAMing
Confidence Vote

QA Fest 2017. Артем Быковец. Синхронизация между QA в мультикомандном Agile a...QAFest

Make sure your project is on the right track, shift left!Jaco Marais
In a typical project life cycle, you have your basic sequential phases: define, design, develop, detect, deploy. The principle of Shift Left is to take a task (traditionally done at a later stage) and perform that task at earlier stages. Take testing: traditionally testing is done just before deployment. But what if we got involved earlier in the process? Can we detect design or code issues, and solve them early on before they become major? Can we change our approach from detection to prevention?

Presented at the Keep Austin Agile 2016 Conference by Chris Edwards
By now you have likely heard about DevOps. It's quickly gaining adoption. But what is it? And why should you care? DevOps is all about creating a culture of high collaboration between development and operations with a goal of optimizing the entire software delivery pipeline—from code commit to features running in production. This enables organizations to deliver value into production faster and at a lower cost—even enabling multiple production deployments per day. Imagine the competitive advantage gained by delivering new features in hours or days rather than weeks, months or quarters.
This talk will show how DevOps improves agility by optimizing the delivery pipeline. We’ll look at common patterns and anti-patterns. We’ll see the kind of tools needed to automate and manage the ever increasing number of servers and applications modern organizations need. We’ll also discuss the benefits and costs of adopting a DevOps culture.
Here is a taste of some of the things we will discuss:
- Get ops involved up front rather than at the end, so deployment and monitoring issues are found early and rework is reduced.
- Treat infrastructure as code so it is automated, repeatable, and under version control.
- Ensure your development and test environments are identical to production (or as close as possible). This helps catch issues sooner rather than in production.
- Deploy more frequently so you are dealing with a smaller batch of changes. This is easier to manage, and less likely to fail.
If you struggle with deployments, or your ops team is constantly fighting fires and drowning in unplanned work, this talk is for you. Come see how DevOps can improve the agility of your organization.
