3. Agricultural is the most important sector of Bangladesh economy. The total land in Bangladesh is 61.2% of the total land
area. Bangladesh agricultural depends on main three crops – Rice, Jute, Tea.
Rice is grown almost entirely for domestic consumption, while jute and tea are the main earners. In addition to these
products, Bangladeshi farmers produce Suger, Tabacco, Cotton, various fruits and vegetable, fishes for the domestic
market.
Jute is the “golden fiber” of Bangladesh. It is the main export earner for Bangladesh. Agricultural Bangladesh remains the
world’s second – largest producer of jute (after india) and the world’s largest exporter of fiber. jute is traditionally used for
the fiber of carpet backing, burlap, bags, cheap paper, various other purpose. But the decline in jute production is
attributed to delining world prices for this crop and to farmers switching to other crops.
Bangladesh also produces tea leaves, mainly for export although the export of this product contributes only 1% of the
countries hard current earning, In 1998-99 the country produced 56000 metric tons of tea leaves, but it could produce
twice amount, the main obstacle to increasing production is in falling prices for tea in the international market and its
management and regulation problems in the industry in the country.
Fishing is another important activity in the country. Bangladesh mainly exports its shrimp to the international market.
An another side Bangladesh agricultural produce seasonal farming.
example: Fruits- mango, jackfruit, litchi, watermelon etc.
Vegetable: sim, brinjal, cauliflower, cabbage etc.
and some fruits and vegetable to produce at all time & all season. example: banana, papaya etc.

10117.30 BDT Million in 2017 and record low of 7017.10 BDT Million in 2006.

So we are see that GDP from agricultural is the single largest producting sector of the economy since in comprises about
30% of country’s GDP and employs around 60% of total labour force. Agrcultural sector performance has an over impact
on major macroeconomic objective like employment generation, proverty alleviation, human resource development
and food security

human resource, natural rersource, current processes in agricultural sector.
On the other hand, O (Opportunities) And T (Threats) refers to external factor in agricultural. Example: Market trades,
economics trades, funding, demographics, political, enviromental etc in agricultural sector.

6. Agricultural sector developing day by day. It’s sector more demanded day by day in foreign market. Agricultural sector
removes proverty, unemployment. It’s sector keeps important tradition in our country. Present time agricultural sector is
unfortunate because farmers work hard for agricultural products but get very poor output. Other side Capitalist owner try
to increase industry to less agricultural land. Herein our agricultural land decrease in day by bay. Government assay to
sustainable planning for agricultural sector.
Our country maximum farmers uneducated. It is first and foremost duty to impact agricultural education to our farmers.
They should be taught the use of scientific method of cultivation.
Recommendation
Conclusion
Agricultural is the backbone of our national economy, top-priority should be given for the development of our agricultural.
All time any government of Bangladesh has undertaken various programmers for the improvement of agricultural.
Bangladesh agricultural is now in the process of transformation from subsistence farming into commercial farming.
Bangladesh has already entered into foreign market for export of vegetables, fishes and other high values crops. This
process opens private sector investment in the areas of production of high value crops, production of seeds, of chemical
and blended fertilizers, agro-processing enterprises etc. Finally, for longer term growth, well-designed management of the
water resources is absolutely essential and will be particularly important from adaption to climate change.
