- The document discusses Agilent Technologies' adoption of a platform approach to identity and access management using Oracle's identity management solutions.
- Agilent's goals were to optimize resources, reduce costs, simplify workflows, and enforce strong access controls and password policies across their applications.
- They developed a roadmap that prioritized initiatives based on drivers and ROI, starting with internal apps and extending to external apps. Key steps included gap analysis, deployment of Oracle solutions, and workflow configuration.
- The platform approach provided benefits like reduced on-boarding time, faster provisioning, and lower costs compared to point solutions. It also enhanced security, compliance, and Agilent's ability to integrate new applications and user roles

Extend Your PPM Application for Projects Products and ServicesEPM Live
A Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) system is a common need within most IT organizations. In addition to PPM, IT organizations must also have systems in place for the management of other types of work such as products and services. Now, IT organizations are thinking outside of the box. If you must do more with less, what better way to protect your PPM investment and minimize costs then to leverage the same platform to bring Project Management, Product Development and Service Management to your IT organization?

Role Discovery and RBAC Design: A Case Study with IBM Role and Policy ModelerProlifics
IBM Pulse 2012 presentation by Alex Ivkin (Prolifics) and Grey Thrasher (IBM)
Synthesizing the business view of IT resources with the technical implementation of Role Based Access Control remains one of the toughest challenges in Identity Management today. We will walk through a real-world use case to understand how organizations can utilize the new IBM Role and Policy Modeler (RaPM) tool to discover essential business relationships and map them to IT access permissions, creating the schema for a comprehensive RBAC system. We will explain how the design criteria provided by RaPM has enabled the foundation of a comprehensive Identity and Role Lifecycle Management structure. The follow-on implementation of an RBAC system in the Identity Provisioning platform, IBM Tivoli Identity Manager, will be explored, as well as how this organization is automating access privileges, simplifying internal security controls and reducing the complexity of audit and compliance enforcement.
Since its formation in 1996, BusinessPort has been transforming the way companies maintain efficient, safe and transparent operating environments. Our Agility Business Management System is the de facto standard within safety critical sectors such as Oil & Gas, Defence and Infrastructure.
To ensure your organisation is performing to its highest ethical standard, there needs to be a robust management system in place to provide guidance to the entire workforce on day-to-day operational decisions. Agility integrates people, processes, documentation, risks and compliance to deliver the right information to the right people at the right time.

GDG Cloud Southlake #33: Boule & Rebala: Effective AppSec in SDLC using Deplo...James Anderson
Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).
Speakers:
Bob Boule
Robert Boule is a technology enthusiast with PASSION for technology and making things work along with a knack for helping others understand how things work. He comes with around 20 years of solution engineering experience in application security, software continuous delivery, and SaaS platforms. He is known for his dynamic presentations in CI/CD and application security integrated in software delivery lifecycle.
Gopinath Rebala
Gopinath Rebala is the CTO of OpsMx, where he has overall responsibility for the machine learning and data processing architectures for Secure Software Delivery. Gopi also has a strong connection with our customers, leading design and architecture for strategic implementations. Gopi is a frequent speaker and well-known leader in continuous delivery and integrating security into software delivery.

Kubernetes & AI - Beauty and the Beast !?! @KCD Istanbul 2024Tobias Schneck
As AI technology is pushing into IT I was wondering myself, as an “infrastructure container kubernetes guy”, how get this fancy AI technology get managed from an infrastructure operational view? Is it possible to apply our lovely cloud native principals as well? What benefit’s both technologies could bring to each other?
Let me take this questions and provide you a short journey through existing deployment models and use cases for AI software. On practical examples, we discuss what cloud/on-premise strategy we may need for applying it to our own infrastructure to get it to work from an enterprise perspective. I want to give an overview about infrastructure requirements and technologies, what could be beneficial or limiting your AI use cases in an enterprise environment. An interactive Demo will give you some insides, what approaches I got already working for real.

"Impact of front-end architecture on development cost", Viktor TurskyiFwdays
I have heard many times that architecture is not important for the front-end. Also, many times I have seen how developers implement features on the front-end just following the standard rules for a framework and think that this is enough to successfully launch the project, and then the project fails. How to prevent this and what approach to choose? I have launched dozens of complex projects and during the talk we will analyze which approaches have worked for me and which have not.

Questions for Balganesh ?Having lots of application owner requirements is always difficult to reconcile, how did you do it ?When you analyzed your current SSO and your next state requirements what did you find ?Password management was a big opportunity for you – what was the most urgent driver ?Having an organization wide perspective and mandate – how did you get the support to simplify the architecture ?
Lets discuss Learning Experiences Questions for Balganesh ?If you could provide advice to other architects out there – what guidance would you give ?
Based on your experiences in deployment I want to drill down on what you learned here Questions for Balganesh ?What order did you deploy the Oracle offerings ?How are you using Oracle Internet Directory ?How did you start your OID deployment ? What did you learn from doing it ?Discuss your access management deployment and some of your learning experiences ?With provisioning, were you replacing any current systems ?
I know having a single IT Service portal and common look and feel was important too you Questions for Balganesh ?Provide some background on how you extended the Oracle identity Platform to fit your environment ?
Questions for Balganesh ? Provide some details on the results and how did you measure them ? What about user satisfaction and service level – how were they impacted ? How did this set the foundation for an organization wide deployment ?
