In Marie Lu s dystopian book Legend, there are a wide variety of characters with
varying and backgrounds. Although the tale follows the lives of young girl June and
outlaw Daniel (nicknamed Day), many side characters are also introduced and
developed throughout the course of the book. All of these characters possess
interesting names that enhance the plot in certain ways, and while most of the
characters names fit them, some do not.
To begin with, the name of the main character June refers to the month of the same
name, which in turn was named for the Roman Goddess Juno. Furthermore, the
exact meaning of Juno is not fully known, but it may be related to an Indo European
root that translates to youth . Additionally, Juno was the queen of the heavens in
Roman mythology. She was also the protectress of women and marriage, as well as
the goddess of finance. June s name does a good job reflecting her personality, and

As For Me and My House is a novel written by Sinclair Ross. The focus of the novel
is mainly on the struggling marriage between Mrs. Bentley and her husband,

nearing the end of the Great Depression. Due to Phillip s frustrations tirelessly
working as Preacher instead of pursuing an artistic career that he would enjoy

Classroom Environment.
As I connect back to my ontological commitment of transferring knowledge for the
sake of building a foundation that can carry students through to graduation, I focus
on how I can determine why I believe the classroom environment is critical to me.
Perhaps it goes back to my positionality, where I truly believe that everyone has a
right to learn and grow and that knowledge is the key to success in anything. As a
lifelong learner, when I encountered difficulties transferring knowledge to students, I
worked to develop intricate ways of teaching complicated material. In some instances,

in both types of settings a traditional classroom and an active learning classroom. I
gained valuable insight on why teachers using ALCs seemed to thrive and truly
engage with students. The flexibility an ALC environment provides for both faculty
and students connects back to the theoretical framework of student centered learning
and discovery learning theories. My goal in using qualitative inquiry is to determine
a better understanding of the successes and challenges in using an ALC because
converting classrooms to more modern environments is costly and not many schools

and pointe shoes and to spread the Christmas joy.
Ms. Tiffany, their strict but loving instructor, gathered the dancers around her to
have a brief meeting. She announced that every senior dancer was required to
audition for a principal role of their choice, and that she will announce the cast two
weeks before the show. Ever since last year, the dancers already knew which role
they wanted, and practically already knew the choreography. They quickly began to
go over the choreography and rehearse for the upcoming audition.
Anna Beth has dreamed of dancing the dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy ever since she
tried on her first pair of ballet slippers on. She was mesmerized by the tenderness of
the Sugar Plum Fairy and would rehearse for hours until she got it perfect. Her only
competition was Ellen, her best friend. The two girls helped each other with
everything especially dance. Even though Ellen was not as experienced as Anna
Beth, she had surpassed most of the peers in less than a year. She would also do
whatever it takes to get the role.

After hearing the news, I felt as if my worries were crawling right back up to my
shoulders. As if I was at the top of the mountain and then had someone push back
down. Finding out that the Senate has plans to take down the DACA was as if they
were closing the doors to my success. As the Congress debates over immigration
reform, August the 15th marks the second anniversary of the Deferred Action for
Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. On the 15th of August 2012, President Obama
began a policy calling for deferred action towards certain young individuals who
came to the United Statesas children and are known as Dreamers(LOGOS). This
policy allows this group of people to have similar rights that are initially reserved for
the citizens of the United States, like applying for employment or having a social
security. The Daca program also secures the young dreamers from deportation.
The Senate wants to eliminate the DACA program, but I believe that it s crucial to
keep it because there are many young students that need it to continue to succeed.

Avengers Age Of Ultron was certainly one of the most hyped films of 2015.
Considering how good The Avengers was, I couldn t help but expect a film of the

Just like in The Avengers the one liners are back and they offer quite a few laughs.
The strongest actors in my opinion were Chris Evens (Captain America) Robert
Downey Jr (Iron Man) and Chris Hemsworth (Thor) because these were the best at
being humorous while still kicking CGI butt. The noob Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor
Johnson) who played Kick ass (in Kick ass ) was a surprise for me, he acted on par
but I kept seeing his character from his other movies, the accent he put on was a
tiny bit cringe in some parts but he did good for his first full marvel movie. His
sister in the film Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) played a solid part which was full

It s 1994 in Long Beach, California. Erin Gruwell is just starting her first teaching
job, as freshman and sophomore English teacher at Woodrow Wilson High School,
which, two years earlier, implemented a voluntary integration program. For many
of the existing teachers, the integration has ruined the school, whose previously
stellar academic standing has been replaced with many students who will be lucky
