their security protection plan. 1. Introduction: Security data and information is very important for any
company in the world. Indeed, high technology environment, and organizations become more and
more subordinate on their information systems. The public worry about the appropriate use of
information, specifically personal data. Cybercrime are increasing rapidly. Many organizations have

Criminal Law Encompasses The Regulation Of Conduct On A
Criminal law encompasses the regulation of conduct on a social level as well as outlining the
consequences when conduct is deemed detrimental to public safety. For this reason, Sex Offender
Registration Laws were originally established as a risk management tool for law enforcement to
monitor sex offenders as a means of deterrence. There are perhaps no crimes that inspire as much fear,
revulsion, and outrage as sexual offenses (Levenson, Grady Leibowitz, 2016). Opponents to current

Convicted sexual offenders were required to verify their address with local law enforcement for at
least 10 years after their release from prison. As a subsection of the Wetterling Act, federal Megan s
Law of 1996 required law enforcement to notify communities and therefore establishing sex offender
registries as public. Notification includes the name, photo, address, incarceration date and convicted
offense. The law is named after Megan Kana, a seven year old who was raped and killed in 1994 by a
registered sex offender who resided across the street from her home. The Adam Walsh Child
Protection and Safety Act of 2006 established a three tier organization to sex offense crimes. The Act
is named after Adam Walsh, a six year old who was abducted and killed in 1981. Those convicted of
Tier 3 offenses have a lifetime registration requirement which must be updated every three months.
Tier 2 offenses have a twenty five year registration requirement which must be updated every six
months. Tier 1 offenses has a fifteen year registration requirement and must be updated yearly. Lastly,
the Adam Walsh Act created a national sex offender registry, prompting states to create a standardized
registration criteria and dissemination format.

laws have been ineffective in deterrence and provide a false sense of

The Lorax, The Silent Spring And Moths Of The Limberlost
The only way forward, if we are going to improve the quality of the environment is to get everyone
involved (Richard Rogers). The environment is a beautiful thing if taken care of. Today there is much
pollution and other harmful items hurting the environment we live in. Ecocritism is the study of
literature and the environment together. Authors use ecocritism to educate readers about literature and
the environment. The Lorax, The Silent Spring and Moths of the Limberlost all show ecocritism. To
begin with, The Lorax, shows many different ways of ecocritism. Throughout the movie, The Lorax,
the Once Ler chopped down(deforestation) all the truffula trees in the forest. By chopping down all
the truffula trees, the bear s, the bird s and other animal s homes were destroyed. The Lorax tries to
stop the Once Ler from chopping the trees down and taking the homes away from animals. By
chopping the trees down, the Brown Bar Bel Loots(bears) could not eat the fruits the trees provided.
Cutting down the truffle trees, has also affect the food chain. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Like in the movie, the truffula trees are nonrenewable if no conservation takes places. The Lorax
shows us that the sunlight is an item that is renewable. As the truffula trees were being removed,
animals were being forced to emigrate(leave) because the environment was slowly deteriorating.
Finally, the Once Ler realized that by cutting down nonrenewable resources, his business would die
out, the Lorax was right about cutting trees down. Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,

Summary Of The Book Collapse By Jared Diamond
Collapse Book Review
In Collapse, Jared Diamond explores the demise of different civilizations throughout history and the
signs that might portend for today s societies. The most evident and recurring themes are: climate
change, environmental damage, friendly trade partners and hostile neighbors. Whether it is one or
multiple of these factors that causes a society s collapse, these four points of Diamond s suggested five
point framework are consistently relevant to the collapse of a society. Diamond thoroughly examines
the history of collapses of civilizations ranging from the Mayan Empire to modern China. Throughout
the book Diamond works to answer the question, Why is it that some societies collapsed while others
did not collapse? The following themes, discussed by Jared Diamond as the main factors in a
civilization s success or failure, are explored and explained in the past to provide a better outlook on
the status of our future: environmental damage, climate change, and neighbors including trade
partners.

inventiveness, hunting skills, and efficiency. When they fail to manage and they destroy the
environment around them. Diamond discusses eight types of environmental damage:
deforestation/habitat destruction, soil problems, water management problems, overhunting,
overfishing, harmful introduced species, human population growth, and increased per capita impact of
people. In Diamond s best seller, Guns Germs and Steel, he explains how human population growth
and food demand are directly correlated. When the population becomes unmanageable, humans strip
their land of resources. The major theme of environmental damage is simply overexploitation of

Heroin Intervention Paper
Introduction The research discussed in this paper explores the impact of heroin on the population as
well as its impact on the methods healthcare workers use to treat the individuals who are struggling
with this addiction. Three articles were analyzed to determine the influence of this issue on society as
well as how nurse led rehabilitation can be utilized to improve client outcomes and reduce relapse.
This epidemic is quickly becoming one of the leading causes of death in the United States as well as
the rest of the world, and as a result new interventions and ideas must be taken into consideration to
help improve the outcomes of treatment. Heroin use in the general population has increased from

An issue in the healthcare field when discussing drug dependence in the patient population is the
stigma that follows these individuals. These patients are struggling with an addiction process that most
nurses and other healthcare workers do not completely understand. As a result of this disconnect
between patient and nurse there is often a lack of truthful communication from the patient for fear of
having this stigma affect the treatment they receive. In this article a real situation was discussed in
which a patient was not properly medicated for pain after a cholecystectomy based on the knowledge
of the healthcare staff pertaining to her utilization of the Community Alcohol and Drug Services
program. This individual was stigmatized and put through intense pain based on the decisions made
by staff that who took it upon themselves to make choices for her because of her past opiate use
(Hughes and McKay, 2012). This example notes the poor ethical treatment of a patient pain based on
discriminatory judgment by the health care

September 11, 2001 Changed the World Forever Essay
As the blood trickled down the flight attendant s neck, they all prayed that they wouldn t die. A dark
skined man headed toward the front of the plane to claim his next victim. He slowly pressed the cold,
red blade of a knife into the pilot s neck. Many of those who saw screamed. They all knew, then, that
they would die. Passengers felt the plane take some wild turns and they realized that they had turned
around. Not long after this occurred to four planes, every single passenger died. Terrorists had taken
over planes in America. Four planes, nineteen terrorists, and almost 3,000 dead people later, the

Romeo And Juliet Comparison Essay
William Shakespeare s famous Romeo and Juliet was reinvented in 1996 as Romeo + Juliet and was
directed by Baz Luhrmann. Luhrmann s interpretation has turned Shakespeare s traditional tale of a
tragic love story into a modern and urbanised 20th century version. Luhrmann s adaptation keeps the
classic story of Romeo and Juliet true. This is seen by still having the constant feud between the
Montague and Capulet family and the countless tragedies, yet Luhrmann adds a 20th century twist by
using guns instead of swords and replacing horses with cars. The main characters remain as Romeo
and Juliet, although there is a greater focus on them than their parents. The events take place in
Verona, however, it is at Verona Beach in Florida, not Italy. All of Luhrmann s alterations to the
original have been done ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the text the script is very lengthy and descriptive. Luhrmann has strategically pulled out the most
powerful and key lines to emphasise the desperation for escape Juliet is looking for. In the text Juliet
comes across as calm, defeated and longing for help, although in the movie she is violent and
extremely snappy. This is seen when she puts a gun to her heads and screams to Friar, I LONG TO
DIE! Juliet is depicted as stuck up and sassy in the text however is obedient at first and somewhat
aggressive as the scene progresses throughout the movie. Baz Luhrmann uses soft, creepy yet holy
music throughout the scene and when Juliet raises the gun the music gets louder and reaches its
climax. Juliet is dressed in dark colours, portraying how depressed she is feeling. This shows contrast
as she is usually dressed in white, representing her purity. In Baz Luhrmann s interpretation he stays
true to Shakespeare s dialogue and succeeds in adding appropriate music, staging and body

Challenges Facing New Markets, Multinational Corporations...
Introduction
When entering new markets, multinational corporations (MNCs) often form strategic alliances with
local companies. An alliance is where two or more organisations integrate to form a strategic, business
relationship (Finlay, 2000). The potential benefits of such alliances include access to knowledge and
resources, building a global network, market access, recognition and access to a distribution network
which can all provide MNCs with a competitive advantage in a foreign market. However, MNCs also
face many challenges when forming alliances in other countries including loss of intellectual property,
different expectations, various challenges of globalisation (e.g. more stringent regulations being
imposed on foreign firms), ethical and cultural considerations and change management. This essay
will focus on two of these challenges in depth change management and cultural adaptation. However
within these sections, certain other topics will also be considered including leadership, innovation and
diversity and globalisation. This essay will critically discuss and analyse these challenges drawing on
real world examples, academic theory and additional research. It will also highlight and consider
potential solutions to these challenges.
Change management
One challenge MNCs face when forming alliances in foreign countries is successfully managing the
organisational change necessary to integrate two businesses which may have different cultures,

The Pros and Cons of the Death Penalty Essay examples
In the world we as people live in violence. Violence has gotten so out of control that it has affected
everyone. The one thing about violence is that it also leads to crimes. And crimes leads to some people
being imprisoned, while others are put on death row. But if crimes are crimes, what makes them minor
or major? Who decides if they are minor or major? Nowadays minor and major crimes are being
pushed together. For example, someone gets shot and the shooter gets 5 years in prison. But if
someone is raped it cannot be proven and the victim is left suicidal while the rapist goes about their
day. Both are major crimes but one has a sentence and the other one does not. With this happening in

30). The community as a whole should already have what crime gets the death penalty. If it takes a lot
of money to make sure that this particular crime was committed by the right person then so be it. It
should not matter whether it takes another month or so to be accurate with the crime committed. Also
Robinson adds Some experts believe deciding to limit the death penalty will no longer make it a
potential deterrent to criminals (Robinson par. 24). If the death penalty is restricted then there is no
hope of it having an effect on the population a little as time passes. Robinsons also wrote about how
the death penalty should be used:
More discriminate use of the death penalty reserving its use for only highly aggravated crimes, the
worst of the worst will lessen the risk of flawed convictions and sentences and ensure that those who
really deserve to be on death row will be executed. [There shouldn t be restriction to the death penalty
because] ... the capital punishment system will remain flawed and it is more likely that less deserving
or innocent prisoners will be convicted and put on death row. (Robinson par. 7)
In life there is always going to be something that is flawed with the death penalty. The reason being is
because of human error. Human error happens a lot and sometimes it

The Pursuit Of Happiness
The Pursuit of Happiness A true basis of what it means to be an American can be thoroughly argued
on the grounds of what constitutes an American, is an American born or is an American made. The
collective identity of the American populace is the shared characteristics, the same drive, which
ultimately results in oneness. The unique American cultural identity is the shared revolutionary nature,
which drives Americans toward progressive social changes in the pursuit of personal happiness. The
original thirteen colonies faced a rather odd situation in their nascent years. Far enough away from
Britain to not completely live under their control, the colonies began to form a new way of defining
themselves. Rather than simply being British colonies they wanted to act as a sovereign nation in their
own right. Fearful of the colonies gaining too much power the British government implemented a set
of Acts, such as the Intolerable Act and Tea Stamp Act, with the intention of them limiting the colonies
freedom and smothering any chance of rebellion. However, the colonist took this as an act of
oppression instead and rose above it in order to regain their personal freedoms. They felt that their
society had plateaued into mediocrity under the rule of King George as they didn t have protected
rights (The American Pageant, 126 133). In the hopes of ridding the colonies of the British rule war
broke out, the crude colonist soldiers fighting against the well polished British army,

Index Fossils Research Paper
Index fossils are fossils used to define and identify geologic patterns. They work on the premise that,
although different sediments may look different depending on the conditions under which they were
laid down. They may include the remains of the same species of fossils. If the concerned species was
short lived (only lasting a few hundred thousand years) then it is certain that the sediments were
deposited within that narrow time period. The shorter the lifespan of the species, the more precisely
different sediments can be correlated, and so rapidly evolving types of fossils are particularly valuable.
The best index fossils have 4 characteristics: they are unique, prevalent, plentiful, and restricted in
geologic time. Most fossils are from

Identifying Elements
Identifying Elements There are many ways to identify unknown elements, such as the methods used in
this lab like density, conductivity and reactivity. However, there are many different types, one of
which is mass spectrometry and another is x ray spectroscopy. Mass spectrometry is a way to measure
relative masses of isotopes and their abundance. This is used to identify an element because an
element s isotopes will have abundances different from any other element, as well as a completely
different set of masses. These results are determined using a mass spectrometer that can separate
ionized charge, weigh it and figure out how much of the isotope was in the sample. The element that is
going to be analyzed must be vaporized in a gas in order for the MS to scan it. The element is then put

Characteristic X ray spectroscopy is similar to any other spectroscopy in that is excites electrons and
then measurable energy is released and measured qualitatively and compared to well known facts and
quantitative data is derived. X rays can be excited by high energy beams made up of electrons, protons
or even other x rays. These beams are shot at the core of an atom and an inner electron excites and
moves to an outer shell. When it calms back down it releases energy. This type of spectroscopy can be
used to analyze and identify all elements on the periodic table except for hydrogen, helium and
lithium. Under characteristic X ray spectroscopy, there are two types: energy dispersive and
wavelength dispersive. In energy dispersive x ray spectroscopy, a semiconductor detector measures
the energy of incoming protons while in wavelength dispersive x ray spectroscopy a single crystal
diffracts the protons and then the crystal is moved so that all emissions are visible. Once again a graph
is made that is specific to an individual element and the element can be identified by the

The social security act was created by President Franklin D. Roosevelt so that he could put in place

citizens, such as the elderly and physically impaired receive benefits after retirement. Citizens in
America during the great depression where expected to work weather elderly or physically disabled.
These citizens weren t afforded the financial stability to retire so work was a necessity to acquire

There are themes about destiny, free will, and the universal theme of good versus evil.
While the plot tries to tell a compelling tale with many intriguing ideas, unfortunately, the

U.s. Military Defense And Education
Security is most highest priority in every country but To nurture a secure nation, federal spending
must be balanced among military defense and programs that provide economic security, such as
education and health care . A worthy portion of any country s budget is spent on defence . To some
extent it is not a good idea for us to spend money on defending ourselves from imaginary enemies. We
spend significant sums of money preparing for wars that we later create and ignore the needs of our
own country. There are also other important sectors which needs to develop to bring economic growth.
It should be much better to spent in areas such as social welfare, health, and education. We do not

But it turns out that military spending is actually a singularly good proxy for measuring just how big
the multiplier for government spending is. Countries that have a military or army enjoy an array of
benefits, ranging from job employment to the military, as well as a form of protection in the event of
military conflict. Some countries need a strong military more than others, depending on their strength
amongst other countries. The army also provides different job opportunities to locals who leave near
military bases. Thousands of folks work in different departments in the military building planes,
ammunition, guns, tanks, and other supplies need during combat. In simple terms, some people rely on
the military for work so that they can provide for their families. A military that is trained and funded
by the government can provide defense for a nation in the event of military or political conflict. In
other words, just having an army can make other countries reconsider invading your country as they
can assess whether they stand a chance to win or lose their platoons and expend a lot of resources and
reputation. Additionally, having a strong military can allow some nations to mobilize their personnel
to help others during military conflict. For instance The U.S. continues to give Israel military aid to
the tune of $3 billion every year, with plans to expand aid to $4 billion annually.

of the mouth. It passes the food from the mouth to the esophagus. The pharynx has 2 different
functions and is also apart of the respiratory system. It has a large piece of cartilage, epiglottis. When
swallowing, the epiglottis folds down over the larynx. If there were no epiglottis, the food would
travel through the larynx, the windpipe. After passing through the pharynx, the bolus then travels to
the esophagus. It is a soft muscular tube that attaches the pharynx to the stomach. It carries the bolus
along its distance.
The food then lands in the stomach which is located to the left side of the abdominal cavity. It stores

Sylvia Plath Superego In The Bell Jar
When looked at through a Freudian lens, The Bell Jar is a love letter from Sylvia Plath to the idea of
suicide. Through her character Esther, Plath depicts the path that leads to suicide: the inner turmoil
that causes the desire for a release; the ideation of suicide as a solution; and finally, the attempt. Esther
s desire to die spawned from being unable to reconcile her id and her superego. Her id was her desire
to adventure, to make something special of her life; her superego, the part of her that understood her
place in society at the time, that she was expected to be a wife and mother and stay home. Esther s
inability to choose between a career and a family caused dissonance in her mind that she imagined
would cause her to die, saying she saw [her]self sitting in the crotch of this fig tree, starving to death,
just because [she] couldn t make up [her] mind which of the figs [she] would choose. ... Show more

Plath s descriptions of suicide and death are calm and beautiful, such as, The thought I might kill
myself formed in my mind as coolly as a tree or a flower, and I thought it would be easy, lying in the
tub and seeing the redness flower from my wrists, flush after flush through the clear water, till I sank
to sleep under a surface gaudy as poppies. Flowers blooming are typically symbols of rebirth, making
these descriptions give the idea that Plath considered suicide to be a way to cleanse herself of the
worries and troubles of this

Daniel Libeskind
The success of architects is defined not so much by the problems they face as the act of their creative
and practical responses. Located in once the bombarded Berlin, a new language of architecture
emerged. It appears with multiple contradictions, yet not confliction, from itself to the surroundings
and within its own construction. That is the Berlin Jewish Museum, submitted by the young Daniel
Libeskind in a competition to provoke the unsavory history of Berlin very soon after the fall of the
Berlin Wall in 1989. The Western tradition in building museum is twisted by its expressionistic form,
not merely to house the remains, the relics, the display of art, it stands by itself naked, untreated to
house the ghost of German Judaism, a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The intention is to make occupants feel physically ill and all of its effects. Precast and cast in place
concrete are customized in tube like structures which slope variably to resist lateral loads stabilizing
the vertical elements. At some strategic locations with severely angled walls, pre stressed steel
reinforced concrete is an absolute option. Steel is used to bear compressive loads as well as tensile
loads. The vertical elements are tied together with beams and slabs which prevent them from cracking.
The monolithic appearance and the complication in opening positions and dimensions require a high
level of difficulty in pouring concrete, which make this museum become the first model project of its
kind to test the new concrete handling method. The challenge is to avoid segregation in pouring
concrete. Timing is the key. The exterior walls are molded with in situ concrete; the advantage it offers
is that the apertures can be made in any shape and size, width and height. It also allows a less amount
of columns used, and an expansion for larger, uninterrupted spaces. The extra strength the reinforced
concrete gives grants Libeskind the ability to make the concept practical.
Also, to maintain the integrity of the object, he eliminated conventional roof system, lightweight
enclosing, and exposed framework matrix as if all structural members merge in one entity which

Health Care And The Healthcare System
Health care will always be a topic of discussion. Every health care system has its pros and its cons,
due to the fact that healthcare in itself will never be perfect. Even in other countries around the world,
although their healthcare system works are much better than America s, it is still a work in progress. In
the videos from Sick Around the World and Kaiser Family Foundation s video on describing how our
healthcare system was before the Affordable Care and how it was after the Affordable Healthcare act
was passed, we get a glance of our own health care system here in the United States. We also get a
glance at the healthcare system in five distinct countries: Great Britain, Japan, Germany, Taiwan, and
Switzerland. The one thing I ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A negative charistic about Switzerland s healthcare system is that the average monthly premium for a
family is seven hundred fifty dollars, which is the second most expensive healthcare in the world
(Palfreman Reid, 2008). One of our biggest problems with our healthcare system is cost, it s way too
expensive. For a family in the United States, the average cost of a premium is almost fourteen
thousand dollars a year. The premiums have also doubled over the past nine years. Our population is
also aging and living much longer, this means more people have health problems which raises
healthcare prices even more. Another big problem in our healthcare system is that it s filled with holes.
People that buy health care on their own can be turned down if they have a preexisting condition.
Small businesses can also be charged if their workers are sick, which makes insurance unaffordable.
Some of the healthcare policies also have a lifetime limit on benefits, which means people least likely
to have coverage are the ones who need it the most (Kaiser Family Foundation, 2013). The best
component of the Affordable Care Act is that it provides newly eligible adults with a benchmark
benefit package , or an equivalent, that meets the minimum health benefits. This new law increases
coverage for primary care services provided by primary care doctors. This law benefits families that
hit the one hundred thirty three percent of the federal

Human Cloning Persuasive Essay

X E: Persuasive Essay
Human Cloning Should Not Be Sanctioned Under Any Circumstances.
Albeit not everybody would concur, I optate to argue that Human Cloning is erroneous! The noetic
conception of someone playing god and engendering life from human DNA outrages me. No Matter
how many times scientists fail to engender a plenarily engendered human copy they still don t give up
to pursue this desired goal. The first human embryos were unsuccessful as the embryos cellular
division ceased after only 6 cells had divided making the experiment a failure for the scientists. I feel
vigorously about this issue and in my opinion I don t optically discern why Human Cloning is
subsidiary for us humans, and how it benefits ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The scientist that availed engender Dolly argued that she had astringent arthritis, which caused her
death. But after many investigations and a post mortem examination it was revealed that Dolly
suffered from Internal Lung Cancer, which was prevalent in many sheep breeds. Dolly s breed, the Fin
Dorset sheep, has a life expectancy of eleven to twelve years, so many notionally theorize that she
additionally died of a genetically age life expectancy of six years which designates that Dolly s was
only designated to live till she was six. So to bring my point forward, what would transpire if humans
were cloned? The most immensely colossal worry that many people have in today s society is that if
scientists are able to clone humans, the cloned human could have many quandaries and suffer a short
life, but even more people argue that it would have an effect on the man and women offering their
cells to be cloned.
One of the stranger reasons that I optate to bring forward is the conception of body supersessions
which in my opinion is outlandish and plenarily nonessential. In recent years there have been many
cases of scientists endeavoring to grow a body for someone who has recently been deceased, denoting
the transplantation of the encephalon from the deceased body into the cloned body. It is now thought
of only as science fiction, yet it may someday be a possibility in the distant future. While it will
always be unethical to kill another human to preserve another

The Demise Of Cornelius Vanderbilt
Cornelius Vanderbilt was certainly a very important contributor to his field. Some people would even
argue that he, to a certain extent, invented his field. This is undoubtedly the case as the majority of
today s businessmen follow his example and act in ways that he invented by carrying out his actions.
In addition, Vanderbilt invested his fortune in railroads. Without railroads, today s society would not
only be vastly different, but it could also possibly be nonexistent. This is due to Vanderbilt s railroads
creating a societal dependency on his railroads. Vanderbilt had always been skilled at seeing promise
in fields that had promise. When he was young, Vanderbilt bought a sailboat and worked for a sailboat
shipping company, from which he made thousands of dollars per year. When he got older, Vanderbilt
saw promise in a field that others saw no promise in: Railroads. Vanderbilt saw that railroads and
steam trains had promise and were the way of the future; therefore, he decided to relocate his family
and began investing in his new industry. Amazingly, he was so confident in the field that he denied a
humongous raise in pay from his boss, who had offered Vanderbilt a raise before he left for his new
home. A lesson that industrialists who followed him learned from this is to search for an industry with
a lot of potential and then to invest in it. Vanderbilt found himself in a very unique situation as being
in his profession was, at that time, still very new and mostly

Essay Battle of Gettysburg
Battle of Gettysburg
This most famous and most important Civil War Battle occurred over three hot summer days, July 1 to
July 3, 1863, around the small market town of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. It began as a skirmish but by
its end involved 160,000 Americans.
Before the battle, major cities in the North such as Philadelphia, Baltimore and even Washington were
under threat of attack from General Robert E. Lee s Confederate Army of Northern Virginia which had
crossed the Potomac River and marched into Pennsylvania.
The Union Army of the Potomac under its very new and untried commander, General George G.
Meade, marched to intercept Lee.

Cavalry leader Jeb Stuart had gone off with his troops to harass the Federals. Stuart s expedition
would turn out to be for the most part a wild goose chase which left Lee at a disadvantage until he
returned.
Lee decided to attack the Union Army s defensive position at the southern end of Cemetery Ridge
which he thought was less well defended.
About 10 a.m. the next morning, Thursday, July 2, Gen. Longstreet was ordered by Lee to attack. But
Longstreet was quite slow in getting his troops into position and didn t attack until 4 p.m. that
afternoon thus giving the Union Army even more time to strengthen its position.
When Longstreet attacked, some of the most bitter fighting of the Civil War erupted at places now part
of American military folklore such as Little Round Top, Devil s Den, the Wheat Field and the Peach
Orchard. Longstreet took the Peach Orchard but was driven back at Little Round Top.
About 6:30 p.m. Gen. Ewell attacked the Union line from the north and east at Cemetery Hill and
Culp s Hill. The attack lasted into darkness but was finally unsuccessful at Cemetery Hill, although
the Rebels seized some trenches on Culp s Hill.
By about 10:30 p.m., the day s fighting came to an end. The Federals had lost some ground during the
Rebel onslaught but still held the strong defensive position along Cemetery Ridge.
Both sides regrouped and counted their causalities while the

People lost their life s savings, their homes and farms. In his first broadcast on the radio Roosevelt
speech, declared that This great Nation will endure as it has endured , we will revive and will prosper
the only thing we have to fear is fear itself . Heeding the nation to call for action, and action now he
promise to exercise broad executive power to wage a war against the emergency. The first step was to
save the banks. During his first hundred days as president, FDR ordered all banks to closed to stop
people from withdrawing money from the banks, until congress meeting into special session. On
March 9 congress passed Roosevelt s Emergency Banking Act, in which recognized the banks and
closed the ones there were insolvent. Banks would re open immediately with government support, and
the ones that were insolvent would be handed over to federal conservators who would guide them to
solvency. The President urged Americans to put their savings back to the bank, when banks re open
the next day, deposits exceed withdrawals. Saving the banks and financial markets meant little if
human suffering continue. One work relief program proposed by FDR was the Civilian Conservation

Summary
The Psychology, Theology, and Spirituality in Christian Counseling is the thought provoking book of

The book beautifully entails that the counselor must observe his client deeply to depict that when he
would be able to respond appropriately towards a specific approach. McMinn s ideas about prayer
really strike the heart that without God s assistance one cannot proceed towards emotional stability.
The book presents an excellent guidance to Christian counselors about appropriate approach towards
displaying spirituality in their exposures with their client to ensure a finest blend of spirituality,
theology and psychology. The intriguing idea coined by McMinn has direct applicability to counseling
that a counselor would be able to amalgamate spirituality and psychology only if his own life is rich in
spiritual attributes.
Apart from the positive features of the book, a few things have gone unanswered in book as Lord, the
greatest spiritual counselor, has remained out of the narration when it came to the self determination
that when and how to integrate prayer, scripture or call for forgiveness. The impact of book would
have doubled if there was much reference to the spiritual work.
Another question striking the mind is that would same counseling approach would be appropriate for
every age group particularly the teenagers? McMinn (1996) has not revealed that how to tackle the
teens in the prescribed perspective of spirituality because they are the most difficult group to counsel
especially when it comes to

Criminal Law Encompasses The Regulation Of Conduct On A Criminal law encompasses the regulation of conduct on a social level as well as outlining the consequences when conduct is deemed detrimental to public safety. For this reason, Sex Offender Registration Laws were originally established as a risk management tool for law enforcement to monitor sex offenders as a means of deterrence. There are perhaps no crimes that inspire as much fear, revulsion, and outrage as sexual offenses (Levenson, Grady Leibowitz, 2016). • 26. Daniel Libeskind The success of architects is defined not so much by the problems they face as the act of their creative and practical responses. Located in once the bombarded Berlin, a new language of architecture emerged. It appears with multiple contradictions, yet not confliction, from itself to the surroundings and within its own construction. That is the Berlin Jewish Museum, submitted by the young Daniel Libeskind in a competition to provoke the unsavory history of Berlin very soon after the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989. The Western tradition in building museum is twisted by its expressionistic form, not merely to house the remains, the relics, the display of art, it stands by itself naked, untreated to house the ghost of German Judaism, a ... Precast and cast in place concrete are customized in tube like structures which slope variably to resist lateral loads stabilizing the vertical elements. At some strategic locations with severely angled walls, pre stressed steel reinforced concrete is an absolute option. Steel is used to bear compressive loads as well as tensile loads. The vertical elements are tied together with beams and slabs which prevent them from cracking. The monolithic appearance and the complication in opening positions and dimensions require a high level of difficulty in pouring concrete, which make this museum become the first model project of its kind to test the new concrete handling method. The challenge is to avoid segregation in pouring concrete. Timing is the key. The exterior walls are molded with in situ concrete; the advantage it offers is that the apertures can be made in any shape and size, width and height. It also allows a less amount of columns used, and an expansion for larger, uninterrupted spaces. The extra strength the reinforced concrete gives grants Libeskind the ability to make the concept practical. Also, to maintain the integrity of the object, he eliminated conventional roof system, lightweight enclosing, and exposed framework matrix as if all structural members merge in one entity which makes the ... • 27. Health Care And The Healthcare System Health care will always be a topic of discussion. Every health care system has its pros and its cons, due to the fact that healthcare in itself will never be perfect. Even in other countries around the world, although their healthcare system works are much better than America s, it is still a work in progress. In the videos from Sick Around the World and Kaiser Family Foundation s video on describing how our healthcare system was before the Affordable Care and how it was after the Affordable Healthcare act was passed, we get a glance of our own health care system here in the United States. We also get a glance at the healthcare system in five distinct countries: Great Britain, Japan, Germany, Taiwan, and Switzerland. The one thing I ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... A negative charistic about Switzerland s healthcare system is that the average monthly premium for a family is seven hundred fifty dollars, which is the second most expensive healthcare in the world (Palfreman Reid, 2008). One of our biggest problems with our healthcare system is cost, it s way too expensive. For a family in the United States, the average cost of a premium is almost fourteen thousand dollars a year. The premiums have also doubled over the past nine years. Our population is also aging and living much longer, this means more people have health problems which raises healthcare prices even more. Another big problem in our healthcare system is that it s filled with holes. People that buy health care on their own can be turned down if they have a preexisting condition. Small businesses can also be charged if their workers are sick, which makes insurance unaffordable. Some of the healthcare policies also have a lifetime limit on benefits, which means people least likely to have coverage are the ones who need it the most (Kaiser Family Foundation, 2013). The best component of the Affordable Care Act is that it provides newly eligible adults with a benchmark benefit package , or an equivalent, that meets the minimum health benefits. This new law increases coverage for primary care services provided by primary care doctors. This law benefits families that hit the one hundred thirty three percent of the federal ... Albeit not everybody would concur, I optate to argue that Human Cloning is erroneous! The noetic conception of someone playing god and engendering life from human DNA outrages me. No Matter how many times scientists fail to engender a plenarily engendered human copy they still don t give up to pursue this desired goal. The first human embryos were unsuccessful as the embryos cellular division ceased after only 6 cells had divided making the experiment a failure for the scientists. So to bring my point forward, what would transpire if humans were cloned? The most immensely colossal worry that many people have in today s society is that if scientists are able to clone humans, the cloned human could have many quandaries and suffer a short life, but even more people argue that it would have an effect on the man and women offering their cells to be cloned. One of the stranger reasons that I optate to bring forward is the conception of body supersessions which in my opinion is outlandish and plenarily nonessential. In recent years there have been many cases of scientists endeavoring to grow a body for someone who has recently been deceased, denoting the transplantation of the encephalon from the deceased body into the cloned body. It is now thought of only as science fiction, yet it may someday be a possibility in the distant future. While it will always be unethical to kill another human to preserve another ... • 29. The Demise Of Cornelius Vanderbilt Cornelius Vanderbilt was certainly a very important contributor to his field. Some people would even argue that he, to a certain extent, invented his field. This is undoubtedly the case as the majority of today s businessmen follow his example and act in ways that he invented by carrying out his actions. In addition, Vanderbilt invested his fortune in railroads. Without railroads, today s society would not only be vastly different, but it could also possibly be nonexistent. This is due to Vanderbilt s railroads creating a societal dependency on his railroads. Vanderbilt had always been skilled at seeing promise in fields that had promise. When he was young, Vanderbilt bought a sailboat and worked for a sailboat shipping company, from which he made thousands of dollars per year. When he got older, Vanderbilt saw promise in a field that others saw no promise in: Railroads. Vanderbilt saw that railroads and steam trains had promise and were the way of the future; therefore, he decided to relocate his family and began investing in his new industry. Amazingly, he was so confident in the field that he denied a humongous raise in pay from his boss, who had offered Vanderbilt a raise before he left for his new home. A lesson that industrialists who followed him learned from this is to search for an industry with a lot of potential and then to invest in it. Vanderbilt found himself in a very unique situation as being in his profession was, at that time, still very new and mostly ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Cavalry leader Jeb Stuart had gone off with his troops to harass the Federals. Stuart s expedition would turn out to be for the most part a wild goose chase which left Lee at a disadvantage until he returned. Lee decided to attack the Union Army s defensive position at the southern end of Cemetery Ridge which he thought was less well defended. About 10 a.m. the next morning, Thursday, July 2, Gen. Longstreet was ordered by Lee to attack. But Longstreet was quite slow in getting his troops into position and didn t attack until 4 p.m. that afternoon thus giving the Union Army even more time to strengthen its position. When Longstreet attacked, some of the most bitter fighting of the Civil War erupted at places now part of American military folklore such as Little Round Top, Devil s Den, the Wheat Field and the Peach Orchard. Longstreet took the Peach Orchard but was driven back at Little Round Top. About 6:30 p.m. Gen. Ewell attacked the Union line from the north and east at Cemetery Hill and Culp s Hill. The attack lasted into darkness but was finally unsuccessful at Cemetery Hill, although the Rebels seized some trenches on Culp s Hill. By about 10:30 p.m., the day s fighting came to an end. The Federals had lost some ground during the Rebel onslaught but still held the strong defensive position along Cemetery Ridge. Both sides regrouped and counted their causalities while the

The intriguing idea coined by McMinn has direct applicability to counseling that a counselor would be able to amalgamate spirituality and psychology only if his own life is rich in spiritual attributes. Apart from the positive features of the book, a few things have gone unanswered in book as Lord, the greatest spiritual counselor, has remained out of the narration when it came to the self determination that when and how to integrate prayer, scripture or call for forgiveness. The impact of book would have doubled if there was much reference to the spiritual work. Another question striking the mind is that would same counseling approach would be appropriate for every age group particularly the teenagers? McMinn (1996) has not revealed that how to tackle the teens in the prescribed perspective of spirituality because they are the most difficult group to counsel especially when it comes to
