1. Adobe Elements
Getting started

2. Importing and organising your files
• As you open adobe elements choose the
organise option.
• File > Get Photo’s and Video
• If you have already downloaded your video
onto the C drive of the computer you navigate
to there otherwise open the camera etc and
select files.

3. Working with organiser
• The main work area is the browser pane
where you can:
– Find, sort and organise
• Video
• Audio
• Photos
• Other media files

4. Tags
• In the organiser panel shown on the right you
can apply tags to your videos to help organise
them or run the Auto Anlyser which applies
smart tags to the clips
• Smart tags assist in multiple activites such as
instant movies

5. Create Panel
• This is where you can start a number of
projects inc:
– DVD’s with menus
– Instant movies
– Photo related projects

6. Share Panel
• You can use this panel to upload to Youtube
etc

7. Fix Panel
• You can send all selected videos to Adobe
Premiere Elements for editing.

8. Getting started
• Open elements
• Organise
• Find your media and Get Media
• Choose the Fix panel and on the menu select edit videos]
• OK on the message
• New project panel opens
– Give the project a name and browse to where you want to save
the file (U drive)
• OK and new project opens
– If you get asked do you want to fix quality problems click yes
