This document provides instructions for creating navigation features in an online course by using anchors and links in Moodle. It explains that anchors act as bookmarks to specific locations in a page and outlines the steps to create named anchors throughout a course. These anchors can then be linked to from topics in the navigation menu to allow readers to quickly jump to different sections. 0 At the top of the page is the outline/navigation where you
can list the topics of your sessions/lessons.

0 To do this, we use a technique called ‘anchor’

4. What is Anchor?
0 Anchors are like bookmarks inside a Moodle page. They allow
readers to jump to a specific place on a page.
(They are invisible to readers.)
0 To create an anchor link, you need to
1. Create a named anchor we’ve done a bit for you, see default settings.

8. Step 1:
Open the Label Editor
1. Turn on editing mode
2. Click the icon under the topic list

1. Highlight your lesson topic, in our example is ‘Lesson 1’
2. Click on the link icon
