Question: Does E-learning work ?
Question: Does E-learning work well ?

What’s Wrong?
当全世界都在’ E’ Can learning ‘ E ’?
E-Learning E Learning +

Verb To become informed To acquire knowledge or skill To Transform and to Change Learn
Is E-learning Effective ?
Learning is Someone wants to teach and Someone wants to be ‘transformed’ Connection
Both time and place are equal In traditional learning

Connected
Both time and place can be different In elearning
And the only connection in between is the “E” Technology
Technology is never reliable

Technology is a multiplier

Learning is a one-to-one process
Learning is not accumulation but assimilation ( 吸收和同化 )
To Transform
Connection, Assimilation and Transform Depends on people Technology is only the bridge

Smart Elearning Help you to build the bridge 3E

Learning is not to make everything complex, but to make it as simple as to be understood and to help the learner transformed 教育科学优于科技
3E Make it E ngaged
Most e-learning is like a lecture Or even worse Like reading…

A good elearning is not to accumulate the information
A good elearning is to engage with the learner and make them ‘Change’
How to ‘Engage’ with the learner
Collaborating in the virtual environment Use these buttons anytime: When provided, use these tools to enter and move text; even post a star: If you ever have questions: refer to the ‘Live Virtual Classroom’ Flash in your BBNL learning plan request the ‘LVC Orientation’ replay from the facilitator

You can engage with your learners with ppt!
Rather than ask, "How can I teach this?" ask, "How can my participants learn this?" Nanette Miner, Ed.D., The Accidental Trainer
Some Basic Rules
Cut it short Cut out the ‘nice-to-know’
Multimedia principle: Learning is enhanced by the presentation of words and pictures rather than words alone. Coherence principle: Learning is enhanced when extraneous material is omitted. Split attention principle: This is a common problem with narrated e-learning courses. Designers add word-for-word audio voiceover to match the on-screen text. Redundancy principle: Similar to the split attention principle. Mayer found that presenting animation with narration was more effective than animation plus narration and on-screen text. Contiguity principle: Learners learn better when on-screen text and visuals are integrated rather than placed apart
