This document provides three steps for teachers to get involved in global collaboration projects with their students: 1. Expand your professional learning network by connecting with other educators on social networks like Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and participating in conferences and workshops. 2. Prepare your students by having them do research, work in groups, and use tools like wikis, social networks, and video creation for collaboration. 3. Find proven global collaboration projects and teachers to work with by using your expanded professional learning network. Start with short-term goals like networking and preparing students, and long-term work on establishing technology projects in your class to get involved in a global project.
