INTRODUCTION
Adaptive Lighting System for Automobiles is a smart solution for safe and
convenient night driving without the intense dazzling effect and aftermaths.
It detects itself whether there is light from the front coming vehicle or not.
When there is light from front coming vehicle, it automatically switches to
the downlight and when the vehicle passes it automatically switch back to
headlight.
The user can adjust the light detection sensitivity of this Adaptive Lighting
System.

An LDR is a component that has
a variable resistance that
changes with the light intensity
that falls upon it. This allows
them to be used in light sensing

COMPONENTS BDT
IC: NE555 9
IC Socket 8 Pin 35.11
Transistor: BC547 1.5
Diode: 1N4007 1
Resistors: 100K Trim pot, 47K, 22K, 10K, 1K 9, 2, 1.5, 1.5, 1
Capacitors: 10uF/25V, 100uF/25V 1.2, 1.85
LEDs: 5mm Red/Green 1.2
LDR: 20mm Encapsulated Type 5
Relay: 12VDC SPDT 86
Switch: SPST Rocker Switch 15
NECESSITY
 To avoid or minimize accidental
possibilities at night driving
 Improved visibility in low light
condition, around curves and over
hills while driving.
 No manual operation is needed
to switch ON/OFF the
headlight/downlight
The light detection sensitivity is
adjustable by the driver
CONCLUSION
Adaptive Lighting System for Automobile is a must have device installed
in the headlight. It makes the night journey safer and more comfortable.
The cost of the device is not much higher. In our project, the estimated
cost was only 190.06 BDT.
So every automobile should have this device in its headlight.
