 Researched federaland state legislation with respect to document retention policies, to remain compliant with government
regulations. Using Microsoft Word, created a document retention schedule, separating each array of documents into four key
categories, HR, Financial, Legal and Programmatic. Worked with Ben Bilbao, Manager of Office Services, senior and inter-
departmental staff and IT to ensure efficiency and accuracy. The project along with an annotated bibliography was approved
and given to IT to be placed on the company server and website, so it can be viewed internationally. This project was
necessary to clear up much needed space,remain compliant and to stay organized.
 Using Microsoft Publisher, created and designed new-hire pamphlets for on-boarding with regards to New York Office
Emergency Action Plan as well as generaloffice information.
 Wrote User Manual for WiseTrack, an item-tracking software designed for inventorying and transporting items using a
barcode scanning system. The User Manual was created based on the sales representative presentation, internet research and
anecdotal evidence of previous users. This manual was used during the Population Council office-move as well as to transport
items to the various international offices and specific users in the Office Services Department were trained to use WiseTrack
based on this User Manual.
 Managed main office phone switchboard, received guests in a professional manner; managed Ben Bilbao’s Outlook Calendar
for correspondences and meetings. Supported Ben Bilbao in other adhoc administrative and programmatic tasks as necessary.

 Assisted Sandy Helling, Associate Director, with new budgets and modifications to existing budgets using Microsoft Excel
and web-based portals specific to the funding agency. These were used to maintain internal spending and accounts structure as
well as show funders that we were responsibly spending public funds.
 Supported Ms. Helling with writing periodic progress reports to funders & new grant submissions to funding agencies,using
Microsoft Word to maintain current funding and establish new lines of financial and material support.
 Involved with planning site visits by existing supporters of the organization as well as prospective donors. Part of the team
that catalogued, transported and arranged items for our annual flag-ship development event. Once on site, organized the space
for the event, which showcased Community Impact to the larger New York City community. This entailed communicating
with interdepartmental programmatic staff, senior and executive level-management and external vendors. These events
allowed us to show influential community members the quality and extent of our work as well as obtain generous support from
these key individuals.
 Started the HealthNet Program from its inception. The class introduced the healthcare field to low-income young adult GED
students. Using Microsoft Word, a syllabus was created for the class and a manual was created for current funders and future
funders. Using Microsoft Publisher, tri-fold brochures and pamphlets were created to distribute to students in the GED and
ESL programs to entice them to join this new educational program and these brochures can help acquire funding in the future.
Used Microsoft Excel, tracked student attendance for government compliance and internal tracking purposes. Created,using
Microsoft Word, confidential Case Notes for each student, noting events and progress made during each mentoring session.

 Scheduled rooms and taught ESL, GED and HealthNet classes to low-income adult members of the community. Tutored GED
students in Math, Science, English and Social Studies. Administered the New York State Practice GED Exam through the
appropriate software. Wrote instructions on how to administer the exam and trained co-workers on how to administer the
exam.
 Managed the Workforce Development Program (Job-Road), whereby maintained Case Notes,met with students to see what
direction they wanted to go in professionally. Created marketable resumes and effective cover letters using Microsoft Word,

 Using Microsoft Word, created Adult Consent & Minor Assent Forms with corresponding Parent Consent Forms for 700
prospective clients distributed nationally across 91 families in a 20-year Longitudinal Family Health Study looking at onset of
depression in at-risk families. Wrote study-related procedural manuals and protocols using Microsoft Word.
 Recruited subjects over the phone, explaining the benefits and risks in accordance with the New York State Institutional
Review Board (IRB) and the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH).
 Created and designed packets for acquiring specimens; Coordinated between families, specimen-collection company,
laboratory and senior staff. In constant contact with the lab to ensure that accurate results were obtained, if not, then
coordinated to have specimen reacquired.
