This document describes a control and power management system (CAPMS) for PV-battery hybrid microgrids. The CAPMS can regulate DC and AC voltages and frequencies, control unit voltages and power flexibly, and balance power flows under different operating conditions, including switching between grid-connected and island modes. Both simulations and experiments validate that the CAPMS provides stable voltage for loads despite disturbances. The CAPMS is presented as a way to manage hybrid microgrid power flows effectively and realize balanced power between the microgrid and grid.
