So it didn t effect the point of the story. Something that really puzzled me in the story was when
the first old lady ran after Marian in the hall and sort of grabbed her by her hair and asked her for

Jews suffered in the Holocaust alongside those of Jewish faith because they were sent to ghettos
like the Lodz Ghetto.
The Lodz ghetto was one of the many ghettos with the purpose of hard laboring. Lodz was
crowded area populated with about 160,000 Jews and was enclosed with barbed wire fencing on all

During the holocaust, non Jews experienced very hard times and some non Jews started using
black market ration cards to get food and the Germans says they sold
(them) at profiteering prices ( Maria ). As a result, The non Jews, once they are arrested, were
sent to Auschwitz and were place in the Bunker of Death to get exterminated day by day, but
some were able to escape this and were sent to labor camps or ghettos. They were cruel to kill
innocent people just because they had black market ration cards to survive during the holocaust.
Using a black market ration cards was very scary, because there is no way to tell when they were
getting caught.
Living in a ghetto was worse that living outside without enough food. Living in the ghetto was
tough for the people because hard labor(ing), over crowding, and starvation were the dominant
features of life and as a result 20 percent of the ghetto s population died. ( Lodz ). The Nazi s didn
t care who died. It must have been that bad for about 20% of the population to die because of
starvation and crowding. Most of the workers in the ghetto worked in the German Factories and
received barely any food ration and they didn t have any running water or a sewer system which

The health care systems emplace in the United States can isolate single cases and prevent them
from spreading because of how sanitary our Healthcare system is (CDC). The healthcare in some
of these countries might be loved ones trying to take care of the patience that have contracted
Ebola just causes more spread within the families (Burgess). The Ebola virus would not spread
rampantly here in the United States that in Africa. Even though the Ebola virus isn t likely to
spread to the United States, reports already have been made that it had landed in The United
States. The United States has had one case reported on September 30th from a man flying from
Liberia to Dallas Texas; he contracted the disease over in Liberia and is now admitted to a hospital
Dallas. The CDC works with international public health organizations, and the travel industry to
find sick travelers arriving to and from the United States and takes actions to prevent the further
spread of diseases (CDC). This case got by the CDC due to the fact that the man was never
exhibiting any signs of Ebola while in transit from Liberia to Dallas Texas (Burgess). This
essentially gives a little bit of a loop hole to the security of the health of the United States citizens,
but hospitals are taking the proper pre cautions with this patient by giving him a quarantine room
