This document outlines Pakistan's National Environmental Policy. The policy aims to protect and conserve Pakistan's environment through sustainable development in order to improve citizens' quality of life. It provides goals, objectives, and guidelines for various sectors including water, air, waste, forestry, biodiversity, climate change, energy, agriculture, and multilateral agreements. It also addresses cross-cutting issues like poverty, population, gender, health, trade, governance, and disasters. The policy calls for integrating environmental considerations into development planning, strengthening legislation and capacity, promoting partnerships, and implementing and monitoring the policy.
