This study investigates the cost effectiveness and prescription trends of ibuprofen suspensions compared to other medications like acetaminophen in Karachi's pharmaceutical market. It reveals that general physicians are influenced by brand names and marketing strategies, with a significant preference for ibuprofen due to its perceived effectiveness and cost. The findings indicate that ibuprofen is widely prescribed for managing pain and fever in children, highlighting issues related to ethical practices and the influence of pharmaceutical companies on prescribing behavior.
