3. The scope and delimitations of the study
simply presents the topic and boundaries of the
research problem you are going to investigate.
4. Scope refers to the coverage at which the
research area will be explored. Facts and theories
about the target participants are included in this
area.
5. Why – the general aims and objectives (purpose)
of the research.
7. Where – the location or setting of the study (the
place where the data will be gathered)
8. When – the timeframe within which the data is
to be collected.
9. Who – the subject of the study and the
population from which they will be selected.This
population needs to be large enough to be able
to make generalizations.
10. How – how the research is to be conducted,
including a description of the research design,
methodology, research tools and analysis
techniques.
11. Delimitation is the parameters or characteristics
that limit the scope and set the boundaries of
the study.These may include sample size, time,
and geographic area.

13. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of music in the
Mathematics Bridge Program for Grade Five pupils of Pateros Catholic
Schools.
The participants shall be the 50 pupils who shall fail in Mathematics
subject. Half of them shall be distributed to experimental and control
groups.The experimental group shall utilize music in their Mathematics
Bridge program while the control group shall utilize the traditional
classroom method.
14. This study shall be conducted at Pateros Catholic School, Pateros Metro Manila during
the summer of the school year 2019-2020 and whatever changes in the mathematics skills
after this date shall not be included in the framework of the research.The performance of
the students shall be measured using the teacher-made pre-test and post-test. Observation
shall also be used to determine the extent of improvement of the respondents with and
without music therapy.
Other pupils who shall enroll from other grade levels as well the other subjects taken
by the pupils shall not be included in the study due to time constraints.
