समझ से प्राप्त ब्रह्मचर्य (पूर्वार्ध) (Part-2)Dada Bhagwan
Each and every human being has the capacity to identify his Soul and attain salvation. However, one severe obstacle on this path could be sexual attraction/ infatuation. None other than a Gnani Purush (the enlightened one) can help us understand the science behind sexual attraction. In the book, Dadashri, the Gnani Purush has discussed the cause and effects of attraction towards the opposite sex, and horrific consequences of unchaste behavior.
Part 1 of the book is devoted to discuss the science of such attraction, how it impedes Self-realization and explains the significance of celibacy.
Part 2 of the book contains chapters for those who have resolved to remain celibate. Having become convinced of the benefits of brahmacharya, the aspirant expresses his willingness to do so. Having met the Gnani Purush and with his continued nearness and grace, he takes the firm vow to be free from all elements of sexuality. The Gnani remains with him until the attainment of total brahmacharya.
For anyone wondering what is spiritual enlightenment, it is essential to learn the 24 Tirthankaras of the past, and of the present.
In previous era, it was possible to achieve instant enlightenment simply by meeting a Tirthankara. At present, such sudden enlightenment is not possible here on earth.
In the current era, one seeking spiritual awakening can search for spiritual teachers to understand the meaning of spirituality and its transformation, but to attain Self realization one must meet a living Gnani Purush (the enlightened one).
A living Gnani has the spiritual power both to give spiritual enlightenment, and to connect one with Tirthankaras of the present, such as Simandhar Swami of Mahavideh Kshetra.
In the book “The Current Living Tirthankara Shree Simandhar Swami”, Gnani Purush offers spiritual guidance about Self realization, and how to connect with Simandhar Swami for the sake of ultimate liberation (moksha).

Mulk Raj Anand was one of the greatest Indian writers in English who brought political commitment to his realistic portrayals of India's poor. His novel Untouchable, published in the 1930s, was groundbreaking for having a latrine cleaner as its central character and depicting the lives and struggles of the untouchables. The novel experiments linguistically by including many transliterated Hindi words and phrases into English. It also contains literal translations of Hindi idioms, swear words, and even full sentences. These experiments allowed Anand to authentically capture the language and experiences of his characters but made the novel difficult for non-Indian readers. The linguistic variations in Untouchable were bold and helped Anand communicate the realities of

The document discusses the present scenario and need for foreign direct investment in higher education in India. It notes that while India has a long history of higher education, modern universities were only established in 1857 and there were just 20 universities and 500 colleges at independence in 1947. Currently there are over 600 universities but the gross enrollment ratio remains low at 18.8%, below many other countries. The government aims to increase this to 30% by 2020 but lacks the resources, creating a need for private investment. Allowing foreign investment could help meet targets by improving infrastructure, technology, and quality of education, but it may also risk commercializing education and benefitting foreign countries more than India.
The document discusses important aspects of translation between languages. It emphasizes using appropriate words to convey the inherent meaning without altering the real content. Idioms and phrases should not be translated literally but the figurative meaning should be understood. Unusual words and phrases also require understanding before translation. When translating from Urdu to English, the meaning of Urdu words must be known to avoid ridiculous translations. Good translation requires practicing writing skills, reading extensively, learning terminology for specialized fields, and speaking with native speakers. Mastering vocabulary, grammar rules and nuances of both languages allows one to provide accurate translations.

This document discusses concept mapping and its impact on student achievement in social studies. It begins by defining concept mapping as a graphical tool to organize and represent knowledge through concepts and relationships. The document then examines how concept mapping can be used in social studies by actively engaging students and aiding in knowledge organization. An experimental study is described that tested the effects of concept mapping on 40 students' history and geography achievement. The results showed significant effects of concept mapping on achievement in both subjects for students from both educated and uneducated families. The document concludes that concept mapping enhances meaningful learning and student achievement in social studies.
This document discusses a study on the relationship between body composition, foot angle, and functional efficiency in volleyball boosters and smashers. The study collected data on body composition, foot angle, and variables measuring functional efficiency (e.g. vertical jump, strength) from 25 boosters and smashers. It found a significant correlation between leg strength and body composition in boosters. It also found a significant correlation between standing broad jump and foot angle in boosters. However, it found mostly insignificant correlations for smashers and between other variables. The results suggest body composition and foot angle have limited relationships to functional efficiency in volleyball players.

Investigations were carried out to see the effect of pesticide 'companion' on the proximal composition and enzyme namely amylase, GOT and GPT of whole green gram in the early stages of germination. The findings revealed that the pesticides increase the enzyme activity in the early stages of germination and thus increase the metabolic rate. The Vitamin-C content was also enhanced with the use of pesticide, but there was a decrease in the proximal composition of the gram when treated with pesticide.
