The student learned many transferable skills from their preliminary continuity task and final film project, including how to use video editing software and manage time in a team environment. They gained technical skills like camerawork and lighting that improved markedly between the early and later projects. Feedback on mistakes made in the preliminary task helped the student create a much better final film that had a strong storyline, characters, and production quality. Comparing clips within the document showed clear advancement in the student's cinematography, acting, and audio recording skills over the course of the two projects.

Looking back at my preliminary
task, what do you feel you have
learnt in the progression from it to
the full product?

help me in my future
career since I do want to
study film studies at
university and hopefully
become a film maker.

3. Preliminary task - ‘continuity task’
We were to create a short video in which the continuity would match the action. We had to use the 180 degree
rule and 2 lines of conversation.#
We had made lots of mistakes and learnt a great deal, by knowing our faults we created a much better end
media product which we had a lot more time to film and edit.

4. Across the Bridge
Given about 5 months to do anything we
wanted, in any genre we wanted using the
amazing school equipment and our imagination
we have created something that we are proud
of.
In comparison with the short task we were given
before this one. I was able to develop a range of
skills such as being able to use Adobe Premiere
successfully, time manage better and be able to
work in a team in which we all had different
priorities.

we have used a
close up.
We can evidently see the
difference between the
two, the bottom right is
grainy and badly lit where as
the one above is clear and
well shot. Also the actor is the
same and I think she proved to
be an amazing actress no
matter the script or directors.

improved to the point that I
think the back picture may be
considered professional.

7. In ‘ Across the Bridge’ we tried
to convey things that are
important to us and attract the
audience by doing so. Also we
has a strong storyline, set time
and a lot of carriage to peruse
our plan. On the contrary the
preliminary task has been a trial
and I don’t think all of us have
taken to heart that we should do
it to the best of our abilities.
Yet I am still firmly in belief
that we have learned a lot from
both and everything that we do
next will be better that what we
have filmed last.

Also the sound that I am not able to show is in no doubt better and
clearer in the last project we have done.

project is which simply because I love to
see the improvement in my own skills
and the skills of my comrades.
