We used the internet for numerous things, we displayed all of our coursework on a blog. This meant we learnt how to blog our work successfully and comment on each others work. YouTube played a strong role within our research section, we watched all of the short films which we analysed on YouTube. We also uploaded our short film to YouTube. Slideshare was used in order to put all of the PowerPoint presentations we created on to our blog, we also looked through other presentations which were similar to ours on the website. These different pieces of software were all very necessary for our coursework. I frequently used PowerPoint in order to upload all of our work to our blogs with ease, we displayed most of our research onto numerous PowerPoint presentations.I used Excel within my AS coursework in order to display our audience feedback as pie charts, this looked much more professional and was an easier way to display the information.I also used Publisher in order to create the magazine review which was a part of our ancillary tasks.YouTube/BloggingSlideshareWe used i-movie in order to edit our short film, we used numerous effects such as slowing down parts of the film and making the entire short film into black and white.I used Photoshop then to create the film cover, I used numerous different effects such as saturating the image and burning parts in order to make different elements within the image stand out.InternetPower point/ Word/Excel/Publisheri-moviePhotoshopDigital TechnologyCamera Video cameraMobile phonesE-mailWe communicated with each other within the group by using our mobile phones. We did this in order to plan places to film and organise our work load.E-mail was relied on heavily within the group, we would send each other work which we had done for the other person to check over and make necessary changes to.These were 2 very important elements for creating our film, I mainly used the camera to capture images for the film poster and other ancillary tasks which we incorporated within our coursework. The video camera was used to film our entire short film, we also used a tripod in order to capture steady and successful shots.
Produced work on:PowerPointRecordingPod castingDrawingsBy using a pod casting tool it meant that we could create a directors commentary of out short film. We also used the pod caster for a series of voice overs which we used within our film.Fair amount of dialogue used, this bought quite a lot to the story therefore we didn’t really need to be that creative with the camera shots which we used within our short film. Therefore we didn’t have to tell much of a story with the camera angles which we used because our dialogue did this enough for us.CreativityWe made sure that our ancillary tasks reflected our short film well, we looked at a number of film posters for the films which we took into mind whilst researching for our short film.I took a couple of photographs whilst filming so that the characters would all be in the same outfits and look exactly how they looked in our film. I then used this photographs to create our ancillary tasks such as the film poster and another marketing campaign. For our extra ancillary task I decided to create a marketing campaign for a brand which was frequently used within our play. Our group didn’t try to be too creative with our coursework, instead we got all the work done to a good standard and then tried to make it more creative at the end. We chose to do this because we didn’t want our work to suffer or miss deadlines because of us trying to make our work as creative as possibly which would consequently make us miss out on marks.
