The document summarizes Jack Morton's process for creating several design projects. For each project, Jack describes the tools used such as the crop tool, move tool, rotate tool, and blending options. He reflects on aspects that worked well, such as the crop tool saving time, and areas for improvement, such as using different images or tools to create sharper edges. Overall, the document outlines Jack's iterative creative process and reflections on multiple projects.
2. Process
The tools I used to create the DVD cover are the
crop tool. I did this by highlighting the selected
areas I do not wish to add to my piece. I did this for
the house, camp fire, snake, bird, DVD and PG
images. I liked the tool that I used because its quick
and simple, it saved time and made a smooth edge
to the image. To move the images I used the
mouse pointer. This made the work simple and
effortless as you simply just clicked on the image
you want to move and drag. The reason I choose
this tool is to make the work quick and reasonable
to ware they are located. I used this for text, house,
camp fire, snake, bird, DVD and PG. I then used the
rotate tool to change the angle of the image I did
this for text, camp fire, snake and bird. The reason I
did this is because it made the image look relevant
to the setting. I then used the blending option to
change the colour of the text. The reason I choose
this because it gave a sharp and attention grabber
style of writing.
3. Process
I feel I could improve the design of the animals
by making a better edge. I could do this by
using the magic wand tool to create a
smoother and sharper image that would stand
out to the viewer. I feel It would do a great job
of advertising to the viewer and making them
want to buy it. I do feel it could improved by
making the house appeal more to the
audience. I could of done this by selecting a
better image. The image tells me how
adventurous and enjoyable the outside can be.
Overall in my opinion the poster is advertiser
friendly, mature and will be suitable for all
audiences. I do believe if I had more time I
could do a better job. I would do this by making
all the images stand out more and the text to
be bold to grab the viewers attention.
4. Process
How I went about this is by thinking about what steps I would need to take to survive in the wild. I did this by
using the mouse pointer tool to select or deselect the images and then moved them in the positions you see
now. I then created speech bubbles to show what the characters saying. The reason I choose this tool is
because it was quick and effortless to use. My thoughts on the story board are that its child friendly and easy
to understand. Overall I think the piece needs to be improved by using different tools to make a better job. I
do think the placements of the images do need tweaking. I should of used better images to suit the style of
the project I'm working on.
5. ProcessThe tool I used the most was the crop tool. I did
this by highlighting the selected areas I do not
wish to add to my piece. I did this for the eagle,
metal plate and snakes. I liked the tool that I
used because its quick and simple, it saved time
and made a smooth edge to the image. To move
the images I used the mouse pointer. This made
the work simple and effortless as you simply just
clicked on the image you want to move and drag.
The reason I choose this tool is to make the work
quick and reasonable to ware they are located. I
used this for the background, snakes, metal
plate, eagle. I then used the rotate tool to
change the angle of the image I did this for the
snakes and eagle. The reason I did this is because
it made the image look relevant to the setting. I
then used the blending option to change the
colour of the text. The reason I choose this
because it gave a sharp and attention grabber
style of writing.
6. Process
My thoughts on this are it’s a great
advertisement for my work as it shows how
creative and wonderful the world can be. It
also shows how dangerous and merciless the
forest can be. I do think the work needs
improving as the eagle has not been cropped
sharply and smoothly as I hopped. I would of
used the magic wand tool if I were to do this
again as it would make it sharper and bolder to
the audience therefore making them want to
know more. The image to the bottom right is
blurry as I would change the image if I were to
do this again as it would make the image more
professorial. Overall it does get the message
across but it does need to be tweaked to make
it even better.
