Last February 17, 2012, the 2nd IIEE-CRCSA Technical Seminar kicked off with a good response from the members and non-members with the participation of more than 100 who showed-up at the White Palace Hotel, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Seminar title was “Basics of Indoor Lighting using DIALux”. The seminar was conducted by Engr. Michael T. Santiago, a Lighting Application & Design Engineer from Saudi Lighting Company. The participants were awed by his DIALux 4.10 software demonstration specially when he imported a room layout from AutoCad drawing and applied the lighting calculation on it which later provided a very nice colored 3-D drawing of the room. A continuation of this seminar which is “Basics of Outdoor Lighting” will be presented on the incoming 14th Midyear Convention.

The terrazzo floor is simple to fit, and it looks unique and extra creative. When you choose the pattern and color, keep your interior in mind. Read about Terrazzo flooring .
A cement and sand screed finish to a concrete floor may be an acceptable, low cost finish to small area floors of garages, stores and outhouses where the small area does not justify the use of a power float and considerations of ease of cleaning are not of prime importance.
Learn about terrazzo. Learn about its systems. Learn about its uses. Learn about its impact in architectural designs today. Terrazzo has offered architects and interior designers with a durability, beauty and affordability for their projects.
Concord Terrazzo Company is a manufacturer of TERRAZZCO Brand epoxy resins. When combined with aggregates, it creates a highly decorative flooring system. Epoxy terrazzo has many advantages such as its high tensile and compressive strength, design flexibility, low maintenance, and use of recycled content.
Sealing is a floor coating applied on top of a terrazzo surface that protects the floor from stains and damages. We discuss the purpose of the sealer, how to apply it, and our recommendations for resealing with TERRAZZCO products.
Modern day terrazzo offer a wide range of rich colors for your terrazzo design. Glass chips just happens to add vibrance to a terrazzo floor that you won't find with traditional marble chips. It is also a good source of recycled content if sustainability is part of your design goals. TERRAZZCO is a leading aggregate supplier in the terrazzo industry. As the only terrazzo manufacturer to source, crush and supply our own marble and glass chips, designers and contractors can find a variety of glass chips in any size and any color at TERRAZZCO. This presentation focuses on just that, the way that you can design a terrazzo floor, countertop and staircase incorporating glass chips, with examples demonstrating its effective use.
When designing a terrazzo floor, divider strips form the layout of the floor design and helps to control cracking. There are different materials and thickness options to consider.
One characteristic of epoxy terrazzo is its antimicrobial surface. Because terrazzo is nonporous it does not support the growth and spread of bacteria, mold and mildew. Epoxy terrazzo is ideal for any indoor space and with the absence of grout joints, it is easy to maintain during the flooring lifecycle.
Aggregates can be crushed into different sizes to create unique terrazzo designs. There are three categories of aggregates that are used in terrazzo flooring today. The most common type is the standard aggregate (sizes #0, #1, and #2) but designers are finding ways to incorporate Venetian styles (sizes #3-#8) and Micro styles (#00 and #000) for the floor finish.
Concord Terrazzo Company supplies a wide range of marble, glass, pebble and shell aggregates for use in terrazzo, landscaping and other construction projects. Aggregates are crushed into various sizes. See the different aggregate options available.
Concord Terrazzo Company is a single-source supplier in epoxy terrazzo. Located in Charlotte, North Carolina we supply all the precast, aggregates and epoxy to help architects and contractors complete terrazzo projects on time on budget and on the mark! Everything we do is custom-designed to one's desired aesthetic.
What is Terraglow? It is the world's first glow-in-the-dark epoxy terrazzo system designed by Concord Terrazzo Company. Applications include epoxy resin, aggregates, and abrasive channels. Terraglow is a longlasting, aesthetically appealing, and low maintenance two-part epoxy resin system that uses photoluminescent pigments that absorb natural or artificial lighting to glow in dim-light settings. Ideal for bars, stadiums, nightclubs as safety features, wayfinding patterns or decorative designs.

Transforming Brand Perception and Boosting Profitabilityaaryangarg12
In today's digital era, the dynamics of brand perception, consumer behavior, and profitability have been profoundly reshaped by the synergy of branding, social media, and website design. This research paper investigates the transformative power of these elements in influencing how individuals perceive brands and products and how this transformation can be harnessed to drive sales and profitability for businesses.
Through an exploration of brand psychology and consumer behavior, this study sheds light on the intricate ways in which effective branding strategies, strategic social media engagement, and user-centric website design contribute to altering consumers' perceptions. We delve into the principles that underlie successful brand transformations, examining how visual identity, messaging, and storytelling can captivate and resonate with target audiences.
Methodologically, this research employs a comprehensive approach, combining qualitative and quantitative analyses. Real-world case studies illustrate the impact of branding, social media campaigns, and website redesigns on consumer perception, sales figures, and profitability. We assess the various metrics, including brand awareness, customer engagement, conversion rates, and revenue growth, to measure the effectiveness of these strategies.
The results underscore the pivotal role of cohesive branding, social media influence, and website usability in shaping positive brand perceptions, influencing consumer decisions, and ultimately bolstering sales and profitability. This paper provides actionable insights and strategic recommendations for businesses seeking to leverage branding, social media, and website design as potent tools to enhance their market position and financial success.

2. TerrazzoDEFINITION
According to the Oxford Dictionary, terrazzo is a
flooring material consisting of chips of marble or
granite set in concrete and polished to give a
smooth surface.
3. THE MATRIXTHERE ARE TWO PRIMARY MATRICES, OR MATERIALS, USED TO COMPOSE TERRAZZO:
CEMENT EPOXY
RESIN
5. BONDED
This system is composed using a half inch
cement matrix topping. An underbed made of
sand and cement bonds with the concrete slab.
The terrazzo is poured on top. Requires the
concrete slab to be depressed 1.75 inches.
6. MONOLITHIC
This system is composed using a half inch matrix
topping. It consists soley of the bonding agent
and the terrazzo topping
7. RUSTIC
This system is composed using a non-ground,
textured cement matrix topping. This systme
can be combined with bonded and monolithic
systems. It requires a two inch depressed slab. It
is classified by its distinct textured surface.
8. SAND-CUSHION
This system is composed using a half inch
cement matrix topping. It consists of sand
dusting, an isolation membrane, a wire
reinforcement, and an underbed. It requires a
2.5 or 3 inch depressed slab.
9. THIN-SET EPOXY
This system is composed using a 1/4 inch or
3/8 resin-based matrix topping. It can be
specified with glass, synthetic, or granite
aggregates in addition to marble. This system is
well known for it's brilliant colors and durability.
