- 5. Qur’an ■ “Recitation” ■ Contains the wisdom and teachings received through revelation ■ Compiled after Muhammad’s death ■ Composed of 114 Chapters (Suras) ■ Arranged by chapter length – Not by theme or chronology ■ Can only be properly read in Arabic
