family in Mecca around 570.
• An angel tell to Muhammad recite Muslims
believe that God had spoken to Muhammad
through the angel and had made him a
prophet, a person who tells of messages from
God.

• The central teaching in Qur’an is that there in
only one God-Allah-and that Muhammad is

beginning and will end one day.
