This document discusses magazine cover design. It provides examples of covers from Men's Fitness and Men's Health magazines that use red text and photos of models to draw attention. The Men's Fitness cover has the title in black text over a photo of Jason Statham. The Men's Health cover uses red and black text surrounding a photo that draws the eye to "Flat Belly Fast." The document also lists potential fonts and colors that could be used and provides layout examples for a double page spread and content sections.

2. Style sheet
This magazine uses lots of red, red can be used to capture the
attention of a reader. The red color meaning is associated with
excitement, passion, danger, energy, and action. But the rest of the
color scheme is very simple, it has a white background and the
majority of the text is black. This gives an element of simplicity to the
cover and really makes those words pop. The color white is associated
with safety, brilliance, understanding, cleanliness, possibility,
protection and perfection, which could suggest what your life could
be like if you learnt from their magazine. I could use this on the front
of my magazine.

3. Style sheet
The Men's Fitness magazine uses a similar template for their
magazines, the key difference being that the title is black and the
text surrounding the model (in this case Jason Statham) is a
red/pink sort of color. Like in the magazine above with Dwayne,
Jason's skull is covering part of the title text and then any other
text which overlaps goes over Jason's body part. This could be
because any reader knows that they have a Men's Fitness
magazine, but they can't afford to be missing the important text
on the front which sells the magazine.

4. Style sheet
This Men's health magazine uses many of the same features as the
other two. The title is in red, and the text surrounding it is black and
red, the "Flat Belly Fast" really draws the readers eye over to that
side of the cover. The blue below this can be used to suggest loyalty,
trust and integrity, reliability and responsibility, conservatism and
perseverance, caring and concern, authority, devotion and
contemplation, peaceful and calmness all qualities associated with a
healthy lifestyle and fitness.
