Proposal for Interactive Media Product

Working Title:
Gentleman spy: at your service
Product’s Purpose:
Entertainment I will achieve this by making an exciting and engaging game in a realised world
Specifically it has suspenseful music fun activities like sneaking around an enemy base
with cool visuals
Genre: spy/stealth game
Content
My product is about Jared bills an American spy who is working for the C.I.A who is tasked with
taking down a secret coup of the entire U.S government this includes him breaking into
compounds and killing top generals destroying supplies gathering intel and more. Inside the game
there are lethal and non-lethal ways of taking down an enemy where you can take their uniform as
a disguise puzzles and shooting are also involved with stealth.
Audience:
My target audience is 12+ because while there are violent options it is up to the player and if
wanted parental controls to make sure it’s appropriate for younger people. Target audience will be
male because the main character is a suave handsome spy and there is violence. Social status
wise more lower classes because the gentleman spy lifestyle may appeal more to them as it’s is
something they don’t currently have in their situation. Psychographic wise it may appeal more to
achievers and emulators because for both it holds things they want especially in terms of lifestyle.
Research and Planning:
From my mood board and planning I have a clear base plot and clear style for the product
like that the character will be wearing a suit and using a silenced pistol.
From my research, I can see problems with a completely top down game like how can you
tell what you look like and whether you are completely hidden I have solved these problems
at least in my mind whether they will pan out remains to be seen. Again, the research has
informed me more on my final style and where to add detail so things stand out like colour
coding the enemies. Al of this will be used in my final production or at the very least inform
my decisions.
Legal & Ethical Considerations:
Murder stealing espionage are offensive to most if not all religions but may not come off that bad
as many people do understand at least to some extent that sometimes spies have to commit
necessary evils to save more lives but still some people may get slightly offended by that. The
murder of military officials and soldiers may offend people who have friends or family members in
the military but as long as it’s clear they are going to do evil stuff people will understand but still
may get slightly offended. It still will be restricted to younger people but as there will be ways to
knock people out parental settings or having the player mandatorily put in their date of birth could
get around that but it may still may not be kid friendly enough for kids younger than 12 so to be
safe the age rating is 12+ as stated above it may offend some religious groups and some families
with members in the military beyond that people that subscribe to the bad guys politics or people
who are gentleman spies but both of those will be a very small part of the population. To get
around this I could make all the copies have no violence beyond knocking people out no stealing
just copying documents and making the good guy totally good and vice versa for the bad guys so
that very very few people can side with the bad guy beyond that idk. Nothing from existing IP’s. the
product does have the same initials as Jason Bourne and James bond and Is fairy similar to
James bond so as long as my character is American and doesn’t share too many traits if any at all
it should be fine I think.
