2. Incoming Testing: Disassembly:
The first step in the repair process is Your motor moves into our mechanical

electrical integrity of your motor.
These initial tests tell our experienced cleaning. All parts are tagged and their
technicians if your motor needs rewinding location in our in-process warehouse
or if mechanical problems exit. will be noted in the work order file.

After Baking
After varnishing, the stator is baked in the curing oven until the varnish
is hard and the consistency of peanut brittle. A second dip and bake cycle
for added moisture and chemical resistance completes the winding
operation. All ALPS rewinds receive two dips and bakes, whether you specify
this or not.

22. While the stator is being rewound or if rewinding is not necessary, the
remainder of the motor moves into the machine shop area where all the
interference fits are measured and compared to industry accepted specifications.
A complete record of all “as found” and “as left” measurements is kept on file,
included in our warranty report and for future reference.
