Ocean thermal energy conversion (OTEC) is à system in which electricity is produced using small temperature difference of warm surface water and deep cold water in oceans. This paper analyzes the dynamic stability and performance simulation results of a solar and ocean thermal energy conversion (SOTEC) system connected to a power grid through undersea cables. In SOTEC, the temperature of warm sea water was boosted by using a typical low-cost solar thermal collector. This document discusses simulation of maximum power point tracking (MPPT) algorithms for photovoltaic (PV) solar systems. It notes that PV panels have non-linear output characteristics and produce maximum power at a single operating point, but this point varies with temperature and light intensity. Various MPPT algorithms have been developed to track this maximum power point (MPP) under changing conditions. The document outlines the components of a typical PV system and describes the role of the MPPT in matching the PV panel impedance to the load impedance to extract maximum available power. It also provides details on the perturb and observe (P&O) MPPT algorithm and concludes that accurate simulation models are important for evaluating PV system performance under different operating environments
This document summarizes and compares two maximum power point tracking (MPPT) techniques for photovoltaic systems: perturbation and observation (P&O) and improved perturbation and observation (IP&O). P&O is commonly used due to its simplicity but has drawbacks like slow response and oscillations around the maximum power point. IP&O aims to overcome these issues by automatically adjusting the perturbation step size and hysteresis band. Simulation results show IP&O increases total PV output power by 0.5% compared to P&O under changing weather conditions and has faster tracking response and higher reliability.

A Feasible MPPT Algorithm for the DC/DC Boost Converter: An Applied Case for ...phthanh04
One of the most promising forms of renewable energy is solar energy. However, efficient exploitation of this energy form is a
topic of great interest, especially in obtaining the maximum amount of power from the solar photovoltaic (PV) system under changing
environmental conditions. To solve this problem, it is necessary to propose an optimal algorithm. Therefore, this paper presents a feasible
maximum power point tracking (MPPT) technique for DC/DC boost converters applied in load-connected stand-alone PV systems
to extract the maximum available power. This proposed method is based on the combination of the modified perturb and observe
(P&O) and fractional open circuit voltage (FOCV) algorithms. The effectiveness of the proposed technique is verified via time-domain
simulation of the load-connected stand-alone PV system using PSIM software. The simulation results show a tracking efficiency with
an average value of 99.85%, 99.87%, and 99.96% for tracking the MPP under varying loads, irradiation, and simultaneously varying
temperature, load, and irradiation, respectively. In addition, tracking time is always stable at 0.02 sec for changing weather conditions in
the large range. Therefore, the results of the proposed method indicate advantages compared to the conventional method.

The MG consists of wind turbine generator, photovoltaic generator, and diesel engine generator (DEG), and is in stochastic environment such as load change, wind power fluctuation, and sun irradiation power disturbance. In fact, the DEG fails and is repaired at random times so that the MG can significantly influence the power flow, and the power flow control faces the main difficulty that how to maintain the balance of power flow? The solution is that a DEG needs to be scheduled. The objective of the control problem is to find the DEG output power by minimizing the total cost of energy. Adopting the Rishel’s famework and using the Bellman principle, the optimality conditions obtained satisfy the Hamilton-Jacobi-Bellman equation. Finally, numerical examples and sensitivity analyses are included to illustrate the importance and effectiveness of the proposed model.
Two-way Load Flow Analysis using Newton-Raphson and Neural Network MethodsIRJET Journal
The document presents a study comparing two-way load flow analysis using the Newton-Raphson method and a neural network method for networked microgrids. The optimal power flow problem is solved using both a conventional Newton-Raphson method and an artificial intelligence neural network method. Results show that the neural network method achieves minimum losses and higher efficiency compared to the Newton-Raphson method, with efficiencies of 99.3% and 97% respectively for the test networked microgrid system.
This document presents the seminar details for a project on maximum power point tracking (MPPT) for a photovoltaic system. The project aims to compare the Buck-boost, Cuk, Sepic and Zeta DC-DC converters for use in an MPPT system using an incremental conduction MPPT algorithm. The methodology will involve simulating the four converters in MATLAB, observing their output characteristics, and selecting the best converter. A literature review covers previous work on MPPT algorithms and converter selection. The project schedule outlines tasks over 10 months including simulation implementation, comparisons of results, and final submission.
This document discusses applications and future work regarding nanoantennas. Some potential applications include integrating nanoantennas into consumer electronics to continuously charge batteries, coating buildings to supplement the power grid, and fabricating them into polyester fabric. Future work includes designing nanoantennas to operate at other wavelengths to concurrently collect visible, near-infrared, and mid-infrared energy. Researchers also aim to develop photonic systems and switches that can efficiently handle the absorbed light without converting it to electricity.
A Technique for Shunt Active Filter meld micro grid SystemIJERA Editor
The proposed system presents a control technique for a micro grid connected hybrid generation system ith case study interfaced with a three phase shunt active filter to suppress the current harmonics and reactive power present in the load using PQ Theory with ANN controller. This Hybrid Micro Grid is developed using freely renewable energy resources like Solar Photovoltaic (SPV) and Wind Energy (WE). To extract the maximum available power from PV panels and wind turbines, Maximum power point Tracker (MPPT) has been included. This MPPT uses the “Standard Perturbs and Observe” technique. By using PQ Theory with ANN Controller, the Reference currents are generated which are to be injected by Shunt active power filter (SAPF)to compensate the current harmonics in the non linear load. Simulation studies shows that the proposed control technique performs non-linear load current harmonic compensation maintaining the load current in phase with the source voltage.
This document compares the performance of an artificial neural network trained with genetic algorithm (ANN-GA) data and a fuzzy logic controller for maximum power point tracking (MPPT) in a grid-connected photovoltaic system. The ANN-GA method uses a genetic algorithm to optimize training data for an artificial neural network controller. Simulation results in Matlab/Simulink show that the ANN-GA controller produces power with fewer fluctuations around the maximum power point and extra power compared to the fuzzy logic controller under different irradiance and temperature conditions. The ANN-GA method also regulates the PV output power well with the grid-connected inverter.

This thesis examines ultrathin poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) (PEDOT)-based trilayer actuators. First, PEDOT-based trilayer actuators are fabricated via vapor phase polymerization and layer-by-layer synthesis with a thickness of 17 μm. Bending deformation of 1% and an output force of 12 μN are achieved. Second, the electrochemical and mechanical properties of the actuators are characterized, including ionic conductivity, electrical conductivity, volumetric capacitance, Young's modulus, damping ratio, and strain-to-charge ratio. Third, a nonlinear multi-physics model is developed to simulate the actuator responses, which matches experimental results and provides insight
IRJET- Implementation of Conventional Perturb with different Load for Maximum...IRJET Journal
This document discusses the implementation of a modified perturb and observe (P&O) maximum power point tracking (MPPT) algorithm for a photovoltaic system using a microcontroller. The traditional P&O algorithm is simple but has issues during rapid changes in irradiance/load, including oscillating around the MPP or moving away from it. The proposed algorithm adds a constant load method to help the traditional P&O algorithm identify the cause of power changes and make better decisions during initial perturbations. Simulation and experimental results show the proposed algorithm performs better than the traditional P&O approach.
Atmosphere Clouds Model Algorithm for Solving Optimal Reactive Power Dispatch...ijeei-iaes

ACM stochastic optimization algorithm stimulated from the behavior of cloud in the natural earth. ACM replicate the generation behavior, shift behavior and extend behavior of cloud. The projected (ACM) algorithm has been tested on standard IEEE 30 bus test system and simulation results shows clearly about the superior performance of the proposed algorithm in plummeting the real power loss.
An Experimental Study of P&O MPPT Control for Photovoltaic SystemsIJPEDS-IAES
Tracking the maximum power point plays an important role for the optimization of the solar energy. The objective here is to study experimentally optimizing photovoltaic (PV) systems connected to a DC-DC converter (Boost) and a resistive load. For this, tests were conducted to determine the law of open loop control (power versus the duty cycle) for different solar irradiance values and load with an approximately constant cell temperature. The obtained results showed that the power passes through a maximum point. In order to extract the maximum power, for different values of solar irradiance and load, an MPPT control "Perturb and Observe" P & O has been implemented on a DSPACE 1104. The experimental results showed the performance of the method suggested.
Supercapacitors are electrical energy storage devices with a high specific power density, a long cycle life and a good efficiency, which make them attractive alternative storage devices for various applications. However, supercapacitors are subject to a progressive degradation of their perfor-mance because of aging phenomenon. Therefore, it is very important to be able to estimate their State-of-Health during operation. Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) is a very recog-nized technique to determine supercapacitors’ state-of-health. However, it requires the interrup-tion of system operation and thus cannot be performed in real time (online). In this paper, a new online identification method is proposed based on extended Kalman observer combined with a complementary PID corrector. The proposed method allows to accurately estimating supercapacitor resistance and capacitance, which are the main indicators of supercapacitor state-of-health. The new online identification method was applied for two voltage/current profiles using two different supercapacitors. The resistance/capacitance estimated by the new method and the conventional EKF were compared with those obtained by an experimental offline method. In comparison with conventional EKF, the capacitance obtained by the new method is significantly more accurate.
This document summarizes research on a series of siloxane-based side chain liquid crystal polymers where the length of the coupling chain between the mesogenic unit and polymer backbone was systematically varied. All polymers exhibited a smectic phase and the nematic-isotropic transition temperature increased with longer coupling chain length. Electro-optic measurements found that threshold voltage for reorientation decreased with increasing chain length due to changes in intrinsic curvature elasticity rather than orientational order. A model is presented where constraints from coupling the mesogenic units to the backbone influence the observed electric-optic properties as chain length varies.
A series of siloxane based side chain liquid crystal polymers have been prepared with asystematic variation in spacer length. Nematic liquid crystal polymers possess large optical nonlinearities owing to their large refractive index anisotropy coupled with the collective molecular reorientation. All the polymer exhibited a smectic phase, for which the Nematic -isotropic transition temperature increased as the spacer length increased. Electro-optic measurements are used to evaluate the threshold voltages for this series of polymers. It is found that with increasing spacer length (n) of polymer the threshold voltage is lowered and that the variation of the threshold voltage arises from changes to the intrinsic curvature elasticity rather than to differences in orientational order. A simple model is used to indicate the origion of the effects observed which appear to arise from the constraints offered by the coupling of the mesogenic units to the polymer backbone.

LAND USE LAND COVER AND NDVI OF MIRZAPUR DISTRICT, UPRAHUL
This Dissertation explores the particular circumstances of Mirzapur, a region located in the
core of India. Mirzapur, with its varied terrains and abundant biodiversity, offers an optimal
environment for investigating the changes in vegetation cover dynamics. Our study utilizes
advanced technologies such as GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and Remote sensing to
analyze the transformations that have taken place over the course of a decade.
The complex relationship between human activities and the environment has been the focus
of extensive research and worry. As the global community grapples with swift urbanization,
population expansion, and economic progress, the effects on natural ecosystems are becoming
more evident. A crucial element of this impact is the alteration of vegetation cover, which plays a
significant role in maintaining the ecological equilibrium of our planet.Land serves as the foundation for all human activities and provides the necessary materials for
these activities. As the most crucial natural resource, its utilization by humans results in different
'Land uses,' which are determined by both human activities and the physical characteristics of the
land.
The utilization of land is impacted by human needs and environmental factors. In countries
like India, rapid population growth and the emphasis on extensive resource exploitation can lead
to significant land degradation, adversely affecting the region's land cover.
Therefore, human intervention has significantly influenced land use patterns over many
centuries, evolving its structure over time and space. In the present era, these changes have
accelerated due to factors such as agriculture and urbanization. Information regarding land use and
cover is essential for various planning and management tasks related to the Earth's surface,
providing crucial environmental data for scientific, resource management, policy purposes, and
diverse human activities.
Accurate understanding of land use and cover is imperative for the development planning
of any area. Consequently, a wide range of professionals, including earth system scientists, land
and water managers, and urban planners, are interested in obtaining data on land use and cover
changes, conversion trends, and other related patterns. The spatial dimensions of land use and
cover support policymakers and scientists in making well-informed decisions, as alterations in
these patterns indicate shifts in economic and social conditions. Monitoring such changes with the
help of Advanced technologies like Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems is
crucial for coordinated efforts across different administrative levels. Advanced technologies like

ABSTRACT
When beginning the project outlines to solve some of the problems that arise in the hothouses, as the high
temperature and kit of high costs, with base a previous experience in an prototype much smaller. The other
parameters are important but not so decisive as the temperature and they are the relative humidity and the
Illumination. For such end we built a hothouse type tunnel of 50 m2, (it is considered as minimum profitable
area) redrew and built the electromechanical kit of control that consists of electronic kit of control with
microcontroller and where the algorithms of control PI were programmed and Fuzzy Logic; also the set called
Cooler Humidify and Heater Illuminator that have double function in benefit of the farming. The
electromechanical kit is reproducible to low construction costs and energy but it has a physical behavior a so
much complex.

CALCULATION OF THE EQUIVALENT CONDUCTIVITY OF ELECTROLYTIC DISSOLUTIONS KOHLRAUSCH'S LAW
MODIFICATION FOR STRONG ELECTROLYTES"
ABSTRACT
The law of Kohlrausch for the calculation of the equivalent conductivity for strong electrolytes is fulfilled to
diluted concentrations ( c 0) ,under these conditions the effects of the molecular interactions become
despicable and the model can explain the values experimentals. A measured that the concentration increases
the experimental datas move away of the linearity that the law proposes. To explain these desviations as a
result of the increase of molecular interactions Theodore Shedlovsky proposed a modification of the law of
Kohlarausch. The constants of this model in an atmosphere have been determined Solver of Microsoft Excel
for twelve electrolytes, doing use of compiled experimental datas in arank of 0-1N.This constants allow to
generate data and to compare them with the experimental values. The results sample that this model
predicts the experimental data satisfactorily.

OPTIMAL CLUSTER CONFIGURATIONS AND STRAIN DEPENDENCE OF THE
ABSTRACT
One of the most important aspects in the epitaxial growth of thin films is the mobility of adatoms and small
clusters. As this mobility is related to the activation energies, many research efforts are concentrated in the
calculation and determination of the overall role of these energies. Previous studies have shown that
activation energies can be easily modified, using strain fields for example, however many aspects remain still
unclear. In this work we use Genetic Algorithms (GAs) to calculate optimal cluster configurations on Cu(001)
surfaces modeled with the Embedded Atom Method (EAM). The optimal configurations obtained show no
relationship with the strain states imposed. Additionally, we study the dependence of the hopping and
exchange activation energies on the strain level of the films. It is observed that hopping shows a clear
dependence on the biaxial tension or compression, in contrast to the exchange process which shows more
complex dependence.

IMBIBITION – GRAVITY MODEL: SUPPORT TO INCREASE
THE RECOVERY FACTOR IN THE
PERUVIAN NORTHWEST
ABSTRAC
The objective of the present work is to characterize the mechanism of spontaneous and forced imbibición,
through the formulation and solution of a mathematical physical model that allows the estimation of the
imbibition rate as well as the prediction of the petroleum production in reservorios that have
characteristics similar to the one of the Peruvian northwest. The reservorios of the Peruvian northwest
appear like good candidates to recover additional petroleum by means of the imbibición process, since the
low permeability of these reservorios allows that a better performance of the capillary forces is obtained and
5. the hydraulic fractures provide an important area of contact between the rock and the fluid, generating an
important opportunity to the additional petroleum recovery. Through this mechanism, is feasible to obtain
that movable petroleum and without energy to move within reservorio, can be expelled and their place is
replaced by a wetting fluid (water). The effectiveness of this process depends on parameters such as: size
and compartamentalización of reservorio (fault block), porosity and permeability of the rock, interfacial
tension, viscosity, wettability and area of contact between fluid and the rock. The proposed Process
WAIGD/PI (Waterflooding assisted imbibition and gravity drainage - Production/Injection), consists of
injecting water and taking advantage of the characteristics the imbibición mechanism and gravitational
drainage through an alternating process of injection-production by a same well. This proposal optimizes the
economic parameters and diminishes the technical risk (saving of perforation costs and flexibility acording
with imbibition response) obtaining the recovery of additional reserves and production increase.

MODAL ANALYSIS OF THE C-TERMINAL HELIX OF THE
F1-ATP SYNTHASE GAMMA SUBUNIT
ABSTRACT
In the analysis of protein dynamics an important goal is the description of slow large-amplitude motions.
These motions describe configuration rearrangements which are essential for the function of the protein. The
rearrangements can change the exposed surface of the protein and, therefore, influence the interactions
with its environment. In this article, we study low-frequency modes of the C-terminal helix of the bovine ATP
synthase Gamma subunit. Three methods are compared: Brownian modes, calpha modes and simplified
potential modes. Results suggest that the F1 end of the helix is more rigid than other parts. This is coherent
with recent studies where is shown how the F1 end of the helix works as a crankshaft converting the bending
and unbending of the Beta subunit into rotational motion. Moreover, along the helix, flexible lengths are
followed by rigid lengths. This feature may serve to smooth out the torque produced at the F 1 end, delivering
a nearly constant torque necessary to achieve the highest efficiency possible.

STRESS AND STRENGHT ANALYSIS OF A CYLINDRICAL AUTOMOTIVE NATURAL GAS TANK
ABSTRAC
The present work tries on the analysis of efforts and deformations of cylindrical tanks for vehicular natural
gas, using the analytic method studied by Lamé in 1833, verifying the results for numeric simulation by
means of a commercial software (Cosmos Work) that is based in the application of the technique of finite
elements and for the experimental method (strain gage). The study will allow formulating a calculation
methodology and design of cylinders for vehicular natural gas, since; it is a high-priority necessity for our
country, given the readiness of the natural gas of Camisea. At the moment, in the Peru, the technology about
the production of the cylinders for discharges pressures has not still been developed. The lack of the
methodology dedicated to the calculation and design of the cylinders, one of the reasons that has motivated
us the realization of this investigation work was. The cared cylinders have a very high cost, for that
manifested it requires the local production to reduce them. In this context the analytic methods are
described, supported in the technique of the numeric simulation and later in the technique of the
experimental method with the meter of deformations, to validate the analytic method and the existent
Technical Norms that govern their design and production. The fundamental objective of this work is, to
develop the design methodology, to determine the minimum thickness of wall of the cylinder, for a pressure
of work of 20 MPa, with which operates the cylinder. The efforts and the deformations are calculated in the
cylinder, using the analytic method, the numeric method and the experimental method. Finally he/she is
carried out the analysis of the results. Being culminated with the conclusions and recommendations of the
study.

which have been deeply analyzed. Likewise, it was possible an exhaustive residual and goodness-of-fit
analysis. Finally, we could validate the model for forecast of export continuity in 2006.

7. HIGH ENERGY ELECTRONS DOSIMETRY FOR LOW FIELDS USING RADIOGRAPHICS FILMS
ABSTRACT
In our institution there is a considerable amount of patients suffering skin carcinomas, for which, the
treatment using small fields of high energy electronis a common option of treatment. The dosimetry using
ionization chamber in small electron fields of high energy, according with the international protocols of
dosimetry, requires of ionization chambers with special characteristics; equipment that our institution does
not count; so it is necessary an alternative method to make these measurements. The linear behaviour of the
electron films in energies greater than 250 keV; makes the film dosimetry one of the best options to make
measurements in small electron fields of high energy; as much by its quality of results, information and low
cost. The objective of this work is to provide to the Radiotherapy Department of the National Institute of
Neoplasics Diseases a practical method, safe and economic to do the dosimetry of small electron fields of
high energy; in a way that the international recommendations for dosimetry of electrons of high energy using
film are applied considering the resources that are available, without implies that the quality of the results
be affected in unfavourable form.
