It also discusses whether the finished film matched the original idea, which was for a horror trailer, and notes some minor differences in shots. Areas for improving planning, strong shots, and weaknesses like unsteady camerawork are identified. With more time, the opening shots and additional scenes would be changed or reshoot.

Through these techniques, the director builds suspense around the outcome of the standoff.
Early film editing techniques included editing in-camera by Georges Méliès, continuity editing in films like The Great Train Robbery, and workbench cutting. Editing in-camera involved starting and stopping the camera to capture only desired shots. Workbench cutting physically spliced film strips together to assemble shots. These early techniques evolved as film technology advanced, allowing more sophisticated editing approaches.

Colours- the colours which are used in

referred to the band In one of there
albums “ a flash flood of colour.” With
regards to the way that the colour is

has been altered in a specific way in order to make the main Image
look darker as the band “Trivum” are often associated with this sort of
colour as it might link in with there Genre which is thrash metal/
Metalcore. This means that if the audience had no idea who the band is
they could get an estimate of what the Band is like.
Angle- The main Image and the angle of the Image shows the band
Looking straight at the audience or the reader with a serious look on
there face which may symbolise that they mean business. One other
aspect this symbolises is that the way that the coverline says “ Our new

the audience may want to purchase the album and find out what it is
actually like.

Stone Roses.
6. Existing Product (Old)
Studio/Location-The Location of this Image you can see has been
Photographed on the beach which gives the reader a relaxing/
exotic feel to the magazine. You can also see that from the
magazine name that the magazine is based on famous Bass
players in bands and you can tell from the Main image and the

Suicidal Tendancies as it says it above his name. This would
suggest to the audience that he is a very important part of the 90s
Rock era.
Angle- The main angle of this Image shows the bassist having a
good time in the set, this is to indicate to the audience that he is
a fairly relaxed person and that he enjoys himself on stage. This

has been used is the main theme of the product this is the exotic/ beach theme this could have
something to do with where the band is from.
7. History of the Product
• How has the type of product changed from old to more
recent products?
• I think out of the New and Old products which have been advertised they both follow the same conventions for example the Newmagazines will have
structure on the Magazines and so would the old ones. However the difference is that in the new Magazines the Images are a lot brighter and in Better
quality, the Images can be edited and you can add more effects on them, especially the Images. One other aspect of the new Magazines which is
different to the Old style of Magazines is the way that the new magazines can have more elements on them for example they could include more Fonts
and variety of colours to link in with the colour scheme of a certain theme to the magazine. In the old Magazines however, the Images don't look to be in
as good quality and the pictures are slightly darker. Also The old magazines didn't have a variety of different fonts and colours so they had to stick with
the main structure of the magazine.
• What technologies are used to make these products?
• The technologies which are used in order to make magazines was mainly Photoshop in order to get all the Structure of the Magazines and the Layout of
how everything looks, before that however you would have to go out and do your research or take pictures with a camera for aphotoshoot or for a
certain theme of your magazine. Other technologies which were used is computers in order extract certain pictures, notes etc in order to plan your
magazine and make your magazine look appealing. One other product which is also used is printers in order for the magazines to be published and sent
out to retailers around the world so that the magazines sell.
• How has that technology changed over the years?
• I think technology has changed with the way that the magazines look slightly different now with regards to the brightness ofthe Images and the with the
use of the experimentation of how certain magazines look. For example the old Magazines which were created they would of usedbasic equipment
such as Paper and a computer in order to create a magazine. But as technology got more advanced the way that magazines lookedstarted to change,
with regards to the way they look and the vast amount of different Magazines which are out. It seems that nowadays due to theadvancements of
Technology anybody can make a magazine of any Kind regardless if its not sold in any big retail stores or you can have the ability to make an E-magazine
and have the ability to access it online.
8. Success
