The dissertation investigates factors influencing labor turnover in the private sector, specifically at the Tanzania Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture (TCCIA). It highlights the critical need for employee retention strategies due to increasing turnover rates driven by factors such as inadequate compensation, poor working conditions, and lack of employee involvement. The study employs both primary and secondary data collection methods, revealing the absence of a formal retention strategy at TCCIA and calling for improved human resource management policies.
