A STUDY TO REDUCE EMPLOYEE ATTRITION IN IT INDUSTRIESIAEME Publication
The research project entitled ‘Reduction of Employee Attrition’ is an attempt to understand the opinion and attitudes of the various categories of employees of IT sector towards the reduction of employee attrition in the organisations. Employee attrition is a serious issue, especially in today’s knowledge-driven marketplace where employees are the most important human capital assets, attrition directly or indirectly impacts on organization’s competitive advantage.
In the past decade, the use of competencies has become a common practice in many organizations. Competency profiling, gap analysis, competency-based assessment and selection based on competencies have been gaining international importance.
The most basic objective of Competency Based Management (CBM) is to provide the tools that will enable HR and the Organization to be more proactive in planning and responding to new, strategic job requirements and improve day-to-day service delivery to operations. CBM provides the road map to accomplish this objective by acting as a common language for all HR activities. The focus of CBM is on qualifications and the identification of knowledge, skills, abilities, and personal characteristics (competencies) necessary for job success. CBM includes two components:
A business planning component that allows managers to assess their resources and needs, and to link employees’ competencies and training needs with organizational objectives; and
A career management component that provides employees with information they need to progress in the organization and their careers
Competency-based HR management is integral to the Organization vision. It builds the foundation for a more flexible workforce based on the diverse job requirements across the Force. It supports the development of a career / employment strategy by recognizing the competencies.

Recruitment and Selection process: An evaluation of E-recruitment at Marks an...Peachy Essay
As opined by Arvey and Campion (2010, p290), “In order to increase the efficiency and retention of the employees, it is essential to implement an appropriate Recruitment and Selection process”. Recruitment is the procedure that the organization applies to identify the human resource requirements of the organisation and attract suitable candidates. Selection refers to the process that is involved in choosing a predefined number of candidates from a number of applicants to fill the available posts in the organization (Barber, 2009).

Dissertation - Managing for sustainable employee engagement in the retail ind...Igor Velasco
ABSTRACT
Background: Even though employee engagement has attracted lots of attention, research shows that the number of engaged employees in the U.K. is far from ideal, 8% according to the CIPD (Alfes, Truss, Soane, Rees, & Gatenby, 2010). The concept of sustainable engagement approaches the topic based on the evidence that the positive outcomes produced by employee engagement are greater in the presence of high levels of well-being (Wright & Copranzano, 2000; Robertson, Birch, & Cooper, 2012). The “Managing for sustainable employee engagement” framework aims to serve as a tool for managers to identify those behaviours that promote both employee engagement and well-being (Lewis & Donaldson-Feilder, 2012).
Aims: To study the relationship between manager’s behaviours and employee engagement and well-being, using the “Managing for sustainable employee engagement” framework as a tool to measure management style. In addition, this study aims to add further validation to the framework as it is examined in the retail industry.
Methods: 82 team members of the fast food chain Pret A Manger completed a questionnaire measuring management style using the “Managing for sustainable employee engagement” questionnaire, engagement using the UWES-17 scale and well-being using the GHQ-12 scale.
Results: Results show a strong relationship between positive manager behaviours and high levels of both engagement and well-being. Results also show that well-being moderates the relationship between manager’s behaviours and engagement. The higher the levels of well-being are the stronger this relationship is.
Conclusions: Manager’s behaviours have a strong influence in the levels of employee engagement and well-being. Greater levels of employee engagement occur in the presence of well-being. It is necessary for managers and organizations to embed well-being in their engagement programmes for them to be successful.

Enterprise Excellence is Inclusive Excellence.pdfKaiNexus
Enterprise excellence and inclusive excellence are closely linked, and real-world challenges have shown that both are essential to the success of any organization. To achieve enterprise excellence, organizations must focus on improving their operations and processes while creating an inclusive environment that engages everyone. In this interactive session, the facilitator will highlight commonly established business practices and how they limit our ability to engage everyone every day. More importantly, though, participants will likely gain increased awareness of what we can do differently to maximize enterprise excellence through deliberate inclusion.
What is Enterprise Excellence?
Enterprise Excellence is a holistic approach that's aimed at achieving world-class performance across all aspects of the organization.
What might I learn?
A way to engage all in creating Inclusive Excellence. Lessons from the US military and their parallels to the story of Harry Potter. How belt systems and CI teams can destroy inclusive practices. How leadership language invites people to the party. There are three things leaders can do to engage everyone every day: maximizing psychological safety to create environments where folks learn, contribute, and challenge the status quo.
Who might benefit? Anyone and everyone leading folks from the shop floor to top floor.

In the Adani-Hindenburg case, what is SEBI investigating.pptxAdani case
Adani SEBI investigation revealed that the latter had sought information from five foreign jurisdictions concerning the holdings of the firm’s foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) in relation to the alleged violations of the MPS Regulations. Nevertheless, the economic interest of the twelve FPIs based in tax haven jurisdictions still needs to be determined. The Adani Group firms classed these FPIs as public shareholders. According to Hindenburg, FPIs were used to get around regulatory standards.

7. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
This dissertation focuses on the motivational strategies used by Tesco to retain its staff. This
research begins with an introduction of the topic. In the first chapter the purpose and importance
of retaining employees has been discussed. Organisations spend huge amount of money on
recruitment, selection and training of employees. It is necessary for them that the employees stay
with them for a considerable period of time, so that they can benefit out of their knowledge and
skills. Similarly, it would be a great loss for the organisation if its employees leave job early. The
organisation would have to spend the again on recruiting and training another employee on the
vacant position. Moreover, others organisations would benefit from the skills of the trained
employees of their rivals.
Aim and objectives of the research are also outlined in the first chapter to give a direction to the
dissertation.
The second chapter gives the theoretical framework of this research in the literature review. In
this chapter Herzberg’s Two Factor Theory has been discussed. The discussion is followed by
the analysis of importance of intrinsic and extrinsic rewards in motivating employees. The
literature review makes the backbone of the research and provides evidence for data collection
and analysis.
The next chapter focuses on the methodology used to carry out the research. Primary and
secondary research has been carried out to study the aim and objectives of this research. Primary
research data is collected through survey questionnaire, distributed among the employees of
Tesco. Secondary data has been gathered from different sources including journals, books, online
material, company’s official website and others. Secondary data has been used to analyse the
results obtained from primary data.
Moreover, the result will be calculated from both qualitative and quantitative data obtained from
the primary research.
Results will be calculated in the next chapter. Quantitative data will be calculated by using
simple mathematical tools such as percentages, while the qualitative data will be analysed using
the secondary research carried out in chapter two.
8. In the last chapter, conclusion has been given and discussion carried out on the results calculated.
It was concluded that although both intrinsic and extrinsic rewards are important for the
motivation of employees, Tesco staff thinks that job security in current financial crisis is the
most crucial. It was recommended that Tesco should focus on strategies that would provide sense
of security to its staff at work.
